Reviews for Tenohira Size.
Back to MangaI see no one else has written a review for this manga yet, so I will! No better way to write my first review! Story: The way this manga works is that the reader goes through different characters' lives and what happens to them. It feels episodic in the way that everything is loosely connected, and that any chapter can stand alone as very short stories. The beginning is a bit confusing because you don't know the characters' names yet, but it's alright. The ending was abrupt and didn't feel conclusive enough to be an ending. I wish there was a more conclusive ending or more chapters, but it is a short series so I guess it makes sense to end it that way.
Art:
The art was nice. It felt like a simple art style, but in a good way. It was pleasing to look at.
Character:
The characters were interesting. Throughout the manga you get to peer into the minds/viewpoints of several different characters. The main characters are very likeable.
Enjoyment:
I really enjoyed it. I picked it up on a whim, but was glad I did. It's a very easy and quick read.
Overall, I rate it an 8/10
this manga needs a review. I'm not sure I'm the best one, but I'll do my best. Tenohira Size is an extremely bittersweet piece. the story revolves around the family and everyday life. I have read few manga with this theme, but Tenohira Size has managed to handle it in such a pleasant way and with small "special touches" that make the work so warm.shows us the reality of a single parent family, so successful today, and quite common in Japanese society (but little is shown). Tells the life of a divorced mother who takes care of her three daughters, facing the day to day. Issues suchas: separation, childhood, love in all its forms, and even day-to-day existential issues are dealt with at Tenohira Size.
It is not such an extensive work, but it allows us to see the point of view of different characters, it generates affinity at some point, we can identify ourselves, and it even has that "I don't-know-what" that causes nostalgia, welcomes us and makes us travel in our memories a childhood that perhaps you did not live, but there it is.
With much more to say, but without the words to express it, I highly recommend that you read this beautiful story.
