Reviews for Honey Blonde
Back to MangaHoney Blonde is a Hentai, Romance about a typical high school perverted relationship. This manga lacks in originality but it certainly makes up for it, by providing an enjoyable read for h-manga readers. As the title implies, it’s about your classic blonde bimbo Eleanor (well not much of a bimbo), who’s infatuated over her fellow classmate Masaki. From the get go it’s already established that the pair are pretty much an item, so all that’s left is to sit back, unzip your pants and enjoy this 7 chapter romp fest. I’m not much of a h-manga fan but I do enjoy ones that contain a progressivestoryline and even though there’s nothing special about the minor issues the couple face, it’s always great to see a story progress from start to finish. Just a shame that their relationship was already established in the beginning, so there’s not much romantic development.
Same can be said about the characters, since the few that appear don’t receive much development but at least they’re all likable. Eleanor who I personally liked for being a bit of a Japanophile and Masaki is just a regular Japanese kid; no clichés involved just a regular kid.
At first glance there isn’t anything remarkable about the artwork, with the character being so plain-looking however the mangaka certainly knows what he’s doing, having so much detail and effort put into this seemingly plan manga. Not to mention that like most h-manga, a lot more effort goes towards sex scenes in order to provide a pleasurable experience.
Overall Honey Blonde is like all the other h-manga worthy of being reviewed… great. Nothing special about it because the story in particular was somewhat lacking but at least it was able to tackle issues of relationship insecurities well and eventually came to a climactic finish.
This is quite an interesting h manga, which involves 2 couples, 1 being a main one. I could somehow see the concept being taken from a romance series, after which it was infused with lots of H scenes. Not much content actually, the story isn't that exciting but at least it fares much better than those H manga which only have 1 main genre:H. This series has 2 or 3 main genres, like romance and friendship. The setback though is that the H scenes were usually too packed together, and not really that interesting. Enjoyment rate is ok, but what is valuable is that it's interesting. The ending partsis especially good, as they were rather conclusive and kinda touching. It ended well. :)
Reading this was pretty good. The art style was very good, the characters had plenty of personality, and the uncensored sex scenes were of course the best parts. I can't get over just how lewd, kinky and perverted this was - not that I'm complaining of course. The erotic love story between Eleanor Mercer and Masaki Yumioka was interesting and fun. There was plenty of time for them to develop their chemistry - even though most involved passionate love making. And the side stories that involved other couple, Tetsu Yoshimi and Shinobu Takeuchi, were very nice as well. The pretty girl being romantically/erotically involved withthe nice guy is always a nice read; though most characters in this story are pretty good looking. I guess I would have liked if Masaki had a harem of pretty girls in love life; but one on one relationships are still good. Though if it was up to me, I would have Eleanor and her mother, Karen, go head to head for Masaki's affection - even though Eleanor and Masaki have history and chemistry, Karen could have been like another mother to Masaki which slowly grew into something more for her. While Masaki and Eleanor could of had a romantic relationship, Karen could have eventually settled for just being the mistress. But, unfortunately, I'll just have to settle for Masaki and Eleanor being a happy and faithful couple.
Karen admitted that Eleanor had a much higher sex drive than her - which was easy to believe seeing that Eleanor and Masaki would "do it" in school, at the beach, a love hotel, or their apartment building. Though I really would have liked to see more of Karen's sex drive with Masaki; and have Eleanor be very jealous of this. Maybe Masaki could of also had some of the school's staves to join him. But I was still glad to see two people who loved each other...stay with each other, and confessing that they only want each other - the same with Test and Shinobu. I kind of wish it was done in color. The characters all look good in color. It might of helped with the visuals too.
But as always...these are just my opinions.
