Reviews for Henjo: Hen na Joshikousei Amaguri Senko
Back to MangaThis manga is soooo repetitive it's not really fun anymore, to me at least. My main enjoyment is by screencapping panels out of context. The story starts decent with an excuse to live with the weird erection-sensing horny-radar girl Senko, but it get's repetitive as it goes on, and annoying as it adds more characters. It starts as a naughty comedy, which I'm not really fond of but eh, it's something, and it get's more and more romantic the more you read, but it's not an enjoyable romance and it doesn't really get anywhere at the moment. The dynamic between the two leads is alwaysthe same "oh I sense erections" "yes I am erect now" joke and they don't really know each other. The man is kinda tsundere, but not as bad as it could be.
The MC's friend also seems to be on the way to fall in love with their childhood friend who's in love with MC and also seems to have a romantic interest with her club's president and eeeeeh who cares, really.
The art is fine, and you get to see how the author improves it with the chapters. It fits the manga, not much more to say. The best thing about this series.
The characters suck, I could explain more about them but I already did in the story section, it doesn't go deeper than what I already told about them. All of them masturbate or get horny except the MC's friend who's a sexual enigma but has a big dick. There's a small girl who tries to be like Senko and become a penis radar or whatever.
Wasn't what I expected at first and that was fun, get's worse and worse as it progresses. Not recommended.
It’s a comedy with adult humor which focuses on the comedy. A small summary because of the character limit: Its story is about a college graduate man and a high schooler girl. The man and his best friend have problems at job hunting. They go to a public toilet. They meet the girl there while she was cleaning the place, and immediately find out that the girl has some problems. Then, they find a oddjobs place to work, and see that the girl is their new boss’ daughter which works for it as well. The story’s main focus is on the interactions between the man andthe girl. It focuses on its comedy, so it doesn’t have a strong story. That’s why i gave a 3 for the story. Its art is generaly comical. I like it, so i gave it a 7. Characters are not the best, but i like them at least. I gave it 6 for that reason. Enjoyment has 9 points because i really like this type of comedy, and it made me laugh a lot.
Overall, it’s a funny manga, if you like this type of comedy i suggest reading it.
TLDR: This is a very Degenerate Manga. Story: Let's be honest there's no story here this is just an excuse to make the Guy(main?) character do "Ecchi" things with Henjo(Main Girl). I was confused to see no fantasy tag in genre given this is the exact pure fantasy of "99%" Guys(jk).Reading the 1st chapter didn't made sense but only gave me hint of degeneracy ahead.By 3rd Chapter it just went into full-on blatant Sexual harassment. Art: It's nothing special but it's not completely pathetic if you know what i mean. In fact out of all the categories it's the Highest but it will not be it's savinggrace. It's Decent and Bearable (given how long i even suffered it.)
Character: Well put it simply Characters are pathetic not in the scoring sense but literal sense. Only notable characters are Henjo(Main), Guy(main?) and his pal(support), acknowledging his pal even as a support is kinda stretch because he's there for filling the panel otherwise our Guy(main?) would look like a loner top of being pathetic. None of them even have shred of dignity or respect for themselves.
Enjoyment: I would've been more forgiving and would've looked past other aspects if i had enjoyed even little-bit more than just one casual chuckle. This is clearly not my cup of tea. Given the subject it's trying to portray (assuming if it's even capable of portraying anything. ) I feel kinda disgusted with myself to trying to find enjoyment in this.
Overall: . If you're into the whole Older mid-20s Guy X High-school girl even then i wouldn't recommend it because of the shear amount of disrespect it shows towards it's characters. Even the comedy in this is bad. Most punchlines aren't even there and then the setup towards it feels exactly like going limp just before the climax why even bother.
*Rapid Review* As of chapter 120: The manga is the most 6/10 Ecchi RomCom out there. It has Novelty with how weird it is, there is a lot of focus on the male privates as jokes. But there are some decent romance moments, but buried under a mountain of dick jokes. So if crude humour is your thing, give it a shot, but don't expect anything more than that. Also, the primary romance is between a Adult and a Minor relationship, so if that disgusts you, turn away now. Though the Adult is waiting until she's legal to do erotic things, but there is restrained romance before thatas well as the aforementioned dirty jokes.
I'm NOT a contrarian, and if your opinion differs, be civil. Your opinion is as valid as mine. Don't rate this as "confusing" just because you disagree with my view, instead, criticise the actual writing of the review. That's what it's there for. Don't be a child. Thank you for reading my rapid review, have a nice day/night!
It can seem pretty repetitive, and it is, but its still fun to read. The caracter and story development is slow but it never stops, and its gets better and better. The caracters is good and the story is enjoyable and pretty funny with an avarage story conception with two friends, who find a residential handyman work, and here is the things get complicated with the handyman's boss's daughter. So my overall review is: if you like adult humor and pretty sexy female caracters with a (slowly) developing story you must read it.If you dont you may regret it. The only thing i disliked is the story developing isalmost zero in the first twenty chapters.
I actually really liked this manga at the beginning, but my enjoyment dropped gradually as it became more and more repetitive. At this point, I was only continuing out of curiosity about how the romance might develop — but more on that later. I get that this is supposed to be a comedy manga, but it relies on the same jokes over and over again. The constant erection and masturbation jokes stop being funny pretty quickly and eventually just get irritating. The main character, Senko, is a high school girl who’s… let’s say, unusual. She loves talking about penises and masturbation and even has the ability tosense erections. That’s funny for maybe the first few chapters, but her character never evolves. Every chapter follows the same tired formula: the characters do something random, Senko senses an erection, she comments on it, everyone gets mad at her — repeat.
The other main character, Tamakura, is just plain boring. There’s nothing memorable about him (and honestly, “masturbates every day” doesn’t count as a character trait). He and Senko slowly develop feelings for each other, but nothing ever happens. I kept waiting for some real romance, but all I got was — you guessed it — more masturbation and erection jokes.
The side characters aren’t worth mentioning either; they’re basically copies of each other, and the whole story just revolves around the same tired premise of guys getting erections.
What does save the manga a little is the art. It’s nice to look at, cleanly drawn, and offers plenty of fanservice for readers who are into that kind of thing.
To sum it up: I kept reading for a while out of habit and faint hope for some romantic payoff, but ultimately, I dropped it for all the reasons above. It started off fun, but it quickly became repetitive, shallow, and unfunny. Definitely not something I’d recommend.
Note the end of this review contains major spoilers for after chapter 80 so click "read more" at your own risk. A fun romp of a manga. Two dudes being dudes looking for work gets a job as a stay-in handyman at a handyman's agency. The issue is that the daughter of the owner, who also works there, is a high school girl who is incredibly interested in the phallus and erections and can even sense erections happening. She is passionate about handyman's work as well and that's basically her whole character. She gets interested in one of the dudes, Takamura, due to his perverse natureand masturbatory practices while being ambivalent to the other dude, Sugita, due to his more stoic and serious nature. This is played for laughs because Senko is only interested in the phallus of Takamura. It's more sexual harassment than anything while Takamura doesn't appreciate the harassment but it's obvious he's attracted to Senko. This story works for the first 80 chapters, with some sections that gets in the way. The humour in my opinion comes from Senko treating Takamura as a plaything more than as a person and Takamura getting annoyed with it. Of course this gets a bit repetitive but it's still fun. To break it down into categories
Plot: It's not good and it's not supposed to be good. It's a fun comedy romp of individual chapters that can be read in almost any order because the continuity is minimal. It works for what it tries to do and if the author kept it as such and not try to advance a bigger story, I would give the plot a solid 8/10 based on what it wants to do. But considering the romance plot, there is a disconnect that drags the score down quite a bit. Overall I give the plot a 4/10 due to it not feeling certain if it wants to be an individual chapter comedy or a big romance comedy.
Characters: The characters are fun. I like the group of girls around the main cast who are all perverts as well. It works for what it does. I would say the best character is the supporting male character Sugita because he's the straight man that balances out the comedy. 7/10
Art style: I love it. The artist really captures the look of indifference on Senko's face. Otherwise it's just a well drawn manga. 8/10
Overall: Enjoyable, comedic. Brought out a few laughs. A perfectly fine manga. Starts strong and weakens with time. Early chapters a solid 8/10 then it goes down and by the time we get to chapter 80 it's around a 5/10.
Final words: I recommend reading it as far as you can bother but don't go into this thinking it's a manga you'll finish. I imagine there are people who will finish it but it doesn't stay consistent enough with the vibes that I doubt most will finish it.
Spoiler: this doesn't last as there is a romance plot between Takamura and Senko which comes to fruition after chapter 80. After that it just becomes boring. The fun interactions between Senko and Takamura are gone because now it's not the fun harassment type relationship but a mutual relationship, which transforms what the comedy is in the manga to a place I personally don't like and if you're a fan of the first 80 chapters, the new type of humour probably won't speak to you as much.
