Reviews for My Beautiful World
Back to MangaThere don't seem to be any reviews for this series so I'll give it a go. "My Beautiful World" was my first foray into the Korean webtoon scene. While many of my friends read webtoons I never really found the motivation to read them. Then I met "My Beautiful World". The beautiful art was what first reeled me in, and up until the midway mark for the series the story wasn't half bad either. However, the reason I can only give a 5 is because the later chapters completely oliberated all of the goodwill the author had developed. No spoilers but everyone isn't completly truthful fromthe beginning. Honestly with one plot twist I seriously considered dropping it. But alas, I stuck to it and I got something very disatisfying.
So the story was fine until that big bombshell, which completely ruined the series, the art was outstanding, the characters were likable enough, especially the main girl character, and the enjoyment I felt at first was replaced with the WTF feeling I got at the end.
So in the end, the only score I can give is a 5; mediocre. This series had so much potential but the author unfortunately threw it away.
Yurim is known to be a very good looking university student who has sadly experienced a sexual assault event while she was in high school and she often detects shady people as black figures. She seems to be quite a timid character and doesn’t trust people to be her friend. She then meets a friendly chap, June who is 10 years older than her and has secrets of his own. While I was reading through the story, I just felt it began to feel less interesting to continue. It’s disappointing pretty much because I felt like it would have worked well to be a greatmanhwa to finish but sadly not…
