Here we have a manga that, in my opinion, has and interesting synopsis: An ordinary guy joins and extraordinary school. Sound fun, right? Well yes, it is fun. But "fun" is not always the same as "good". Let me explain. Story - Weak at best. It seems like its only there to give an excuse for the massive quantity of soft porn. The obvious focus of the manga is its ecchi content. Here's an example of what I'm talking about: you're reading a battle scene. Beautiful characters unleash fantastic powers, the tension is building, you're starting to get into the action, and then you lookat the next part... MASSIVE FULL PAGE PANTIE SHOT! It's a real buzz kill that keeps the story watered down and hurts the action.

Art - The best part. The mangaka is a very talented artist and he proves it with every page. The characters are beautiful, the scenery is detailed most of the time, and the character's facial expressions look realistic. Keep in mind that the most commonly drawn figures are a few select parts of the female body. But really, there's nothing to complain about here.

Character - What few changes the characters undergo seems forced. There's way too many people introduced in the beginning that never get any personality. It's actually kind of funny how haphazard the characters feel at times. I mean there's your usual harem stereotypes, but that's all the range you get. Nothing original or creative to be found here.

Enjoyment - I'm actually surprised how much I enjoyed reading this. The ecchi content is good for a lonely night, but the only time when you'd be reading this is when you should be getting some sleep. There's better manga out there than this. If ecchi is all you read manga for, then pick this up. For those of us who read for content, feel free to pass this up. You won't be missing anything.

This Manga is like a Gathering of popular Harem characters so u will find any kind of typical Character you found in popular Harem mangas before. A Guy enrolls into a school without nowing more than that it was an all-girls-school before so he isnt prepared at all to find himself in a school for "Special Ability Users". He just wanted to have a nice time with his Childhood friend and, if possible, some other Girls and who ever thinks of RosaVam at this point isnt wrong at all. So to be short, if you like Harem mangas you will like this one.

what this manga does well , is to get the formula right. Its not untypical of manga of this genre but it does it with the right mixture and balance enough to hold your attention to the very end. unfortunately not all can do so. so if you like this type of manga , you will not be disappointed.

Lets get this out the way, I found myself having to pause almost every chapter due to my 'son' going on a rampage; that is to say that Maken-Ki! is chalk full of super ero scenes (damn near hentai level) thus why i gave a 10/10 enjoyment because of my guilty pleasure of trashy ecchi mangas. The story on the other hand (7/10) for an artist who has done nothing but hentai all his life was surprisingly decent but kind of felt empty at times as well as the author Takeda Hiromitsu's obsession with NTR which some might find triggering and if so then thismanga is not for you. The characters were good (7/10) but lacked personality and background but I suppose that is to be expected from a manga of harem genre. TYPICALLY I dislike the genre due to the greed of the main character wanting to hog all the fishes for themselves but I enjoyed how the boys 'shared the wealth' in this particular manga which is another reason why I enjoyed this manga even with its plot holes. Finally Takeda's art 10/10. I don't know how to word it but this mans art is other worldly and is amongst my top 3 favourite artists, he knows exactly how to draw women that will have you mesmerised and his ahegao faces are top notch and to my surprise, (having underestimated him) can draw amazing fight scenes as well as draw males (majority of artists focus on the female cast and leave the male characters looking dead however) Takeda REALLY knows how to draw and is amazing with it but all is not well. Like i said earlier, Takeda has a strange obsession with NTR which USED to be too much for me but drawn to his art I had got used too however this might be a steep one to climb for others. ALL his work includes NTR and therefore is difficult to get into but if you can overlook that then this work is a great read. 6/10.

Lastly a note to the artist: If Takeda can ease off the NTR and focus more the story and world building then i'm sure one day this man will create a great manga

Typically, I think this is one of the most "Underrated Manga" on this site. Maken-ki does better in the manga than in the anime. So if you watch the anime only, read the manga it's a lot better. The action is basically your everyday Shounen fighting anime, guy gets introduced, gets stronger, fights to protect what he loves, yada yada yada... It's also a harem with EXTREME amounts of Ecchi moments. But, that still doesn't stop me from reading it because, I for one, love the action scenes and the main character Takeru. Yes he is one of my favorites. The story does pretty well. But Istarted the series during the like 21st or something chapter and haven't read from the beginning so I don't know about how it starts. But in all, the manga is pretty good. It's a monthly manga, which I really hate, so you can't read it frequently, but other than that, try it out. You might like it.

I don't recommend this manga. But I can understand why she might be interested Briefly about the positive and negative in manga POSITIVE -Almost all the main characters are memorable and All have good design......7/10 -Ecchi moments up to volume 10 or 12 look like..........6.5/10 - plot at the beginning of the story is not good. But in ecchi harem mangait looks norma......l. 6/10

NEGATIVE

-history has no progression. And what is passed off as progression looks like very sharp leaps in logic. Example (the character was weak this morning and by the evening he became invincible and the only force against the most powerful evil).I can accept these kinds of events. But when between becoming the strongest there is development and not an unreasonable leap in development. STORY 4/10

-The manga has been drawn for over ten years, but in the latest volumes the picture looks like a white background. Illustrations 5/10

-dynamics of history. Characters appear out of nowhere. Their actions can change dramatically from volume to volume, as the timeline describes just one day or one conventional week in these volumes......... 3/10

VOL0 1-10

Being a fan of this topic (ecchi, martial arts, harem), I cannot recommend this manga.

The first ten volumes seem normal...just ok... I mean, story, characters, lore echhi and more... "Just ok" - not "excellent" or even "good".... Just "ok"

VOL. - 11- 24 END

But starting from the last half of the manga, the story becomes chaotic. Characters actions happen simply because the plot demands them. There is no normal intrigue and memorable moments. There is not even a normal (ecchi) component.

The last battle of the last volume is the most banal platitude you can come up with.

All fights without any variety or beautiful frames. Without any imagination.

A good example of a pointless story is the end of the manga. At the end of the manga, the main character remembers who he was before entering this school, and in the memories of the main character, he is in no way similar to himself at the beginning of the story, when he first came to this school.

He is so unlike himself from the first volumes that one gets the feeling that Takeru was always the same as he became in the last volumes.

...........SO

I don't recommend this manga. But I can understand why she might be interested. Beautiful characters and design. Echii is good in some places

And the idea with the fighters and their different powers.
