*I'm writing this review while pissed off after reading the trash ending* Imagine one day finding out that your crush, a super important ojou-sama, was split into two persons, each with different personalities that the original one had. Sounds interesting right? The fact that these two, once a single person, will now grow up to become different than the other one and the original is something with such a huge potential for character development, but was compleately wasted. Story: 3 This fresh plot had a huge potential for developing an incredible love triangle with only "two" persons, but instead of focusing on this topic, author chooses to focuson the ecchi comedy, which I'm fine with as long as it's funny, but it's not the case. Even if I recognize that lots of jokes and comical scenes are "original", most of them are related to sexual harassment to the main heroines ("ops somehow I grabbed your breasts/ass/others") or good jokes overshadowed by the HUGE amount of text, It felt like reading a light novel instead of a manga. After like 20 chapters, I skipped most of the text until c.40-something, only taking a fast look to interesting things like romantic development or some scene that looked funny to read because most of the dialogues have so much unnecessary text.

- The end: It gets very interesting in the last chapters, to see how this romance ends and how the climax develops is worth to read, although there are 2 quite obvious possibilities. The catastrophe comes when the story is about to end, the romantic decision was taken, it was all good and I expected the last dramatic moment to come up with a beautiful solution that wouldn't look so forced. It was at this moment that the author had to fucked up so bad, making an absolutely unnecessary and unexpected event. After a time skip, the author tries to make us believe his bad "troll", just to few moments later, out of nowhere and by the power of the plot, "surprise" us giving us the exact ending we were about to get before he came out with this "troll plot twist" in such a forced and unnecessary way that ruined the good idea of end it was.

Art: 6

Not bad, nothing outstanding tho.

Characters: 5

- The mc: Has some charm, but plain and nothing original . Yes, the only character development he gets is realizing about his true feelings, but at least had the balls to take the best decision possible (the most average will agree with this).

- The 2 main heroines: The best of the story. Although they are the typical tsundere and ojou-sama archetype and they don't get too much character development, you can enjoy them as waifu material, at least a little.

- Secondary characters: At least the story didn't become a harem romantic comedy, even if there were lots of tries and the mc gets more girls, most of them disappeared from the story almost compleately after they appeared. Other sc were just fine.

Enjoyment: 4

The only part I enjoyed reading was the last arc, but got fucked up by the "troll" author.

Overall: 4

Now I know why it doesn't have anime adaptation and only 50 chapters, waste of plot potential. I would recommend it just to enjoy the main heroines and nothing more.

I had mixed emotions after reading this manga. You know that feeling when both heroines deserves to be LOVED and you can't choose one of them? Yep, it's this manga. The Story is not that great but not that bad... might be above average or more than above average. The Art, The Art is Modern especially the ecchi scenes... I LOVED IT! Characters are likeable, The MC is not that dense compare to other Generic Harem Manga Series but sometimes he can be a bit annoying, The two female leads... I can't choose one of them, the Author does a great job making both thosetwo... LOVE THEM BOTH SO MUCH! And the supporting characters as well... Love them all! It was a Great Fun read for me. 9/10 I enjoyed it so much!

Let me give it to you straight this manga is good, its flatout good its characters are awesome the art style is awesome only thing i don't like about this manga is the author made characters that SHOULD have some impact on the story which the author did and gave them important backgrounds for interaction with the MC that i cant say due to review rules as it would be a spoiler, point is that the author made some characters that i feel like should have had MORE impact on the story and if the author did that the manga would have gone on andget more chapters since he had more characters to interact with. Well after that rant, the story is good, its better than most in the genre from what i read i enjoyed it thoroughly its extremely different from most of the harem genre where the MC is more dense than osmium the MC here is a dude who has a mission to either see tits or die trying, for the Heroine's i cant think of any other way to describe them other than beautiful, lovable, and all that because the way they are shown in the manga is they MAKE you love them where your not sure who to pick from them both as both have their own personalities (despite once being the same person). Overall its a great manga to read slowly i recommend taking it in slowly so you can take it all in even though its pretty lengthy its pretty easy to find yourself already at the end after a few hours

Kin no Kanojo Gin no Kanojo isn't really a hidden gem of manga as one might hope with its admittedly unique, irregular artwork and low popularity. It's buried under the load of usual problems that I think every niche slice of life suffers from. Longevity, characters, and serious misusage of its premise. *Spoilers Ahead* Story: 2 I don't want to say the manga starts off typically when it isn't something I've seen that often. The problem is that the utilization of the beginning is poor. The two girls being each other is never brought up in a manner to spark conflict or even spice things up untilthe terribly rushed ending. Past the first chapter, every single chapter afterward becomes a slugfest of boring and uninteresting events that occur in every SoL ever with no unique twists, turns, or even slight adjustments. Certainly, even a fan of the manga wouldn't argue the cliché nature. But does a manga/anime need to be experimental to garner my appreciation? Not particularly, but the problem is how this manga somehow manages to follow the formula through the entire course of the bareboned story. Nothing surprised me or even made me think they followed the formula well. The ending, something I briefly touched on earlier is obviously an attempt at an emotional ending but somehow everyone ends up winning regardless.

Art: 6

It looks bad but almost in a way where it complements the overall quality of the manga. Jokes aside, it does for some reason induce a breath of fresh air in me as I see these unseemly artworks propped against just as unseemly backgrounds, none of it looking particularly interesting or eye-catching. But it's this laying-low vibe that the style radiates that makes you believe it's the quintessential SoL, fun, somewhat light with occasional social consciousness. Either that or it's charming for the same reason stickman videos were popular in the early 2010's, parodies of actual good works. Regardless, the art still does look bad so a good score would not be warranted here.

Character: 1

This part is embarrassing for Kin no Kanojo Gin no Kanojo. It's not even about the potential they set up for themselves with the premise, the characters just go no where the whole manga. It's unrewarding to essentially see a bunch of characters do the same thing over and over but each time, the girl likes the guy just a bit more. It's not only predictable but such a cheap and easy way of forcing character development. Pay any high-schooler in creative writing classes to write characters who get developed better, have interesting conflicts, and have interesting motivations and it would end up tenfold the experience that is trying to "analyze" Kin no Kanojo Gin no Kanojo's characters. Every conflict between the two heroines comes not from the fact they are the same person but from the fact they like the same guy. "That in of itself is a conflict though!" you may concur but that conflict happens in every manga with multiple love interests. It's overplayed and makes the initial premise as well as any potential of unique conflicts and motivations impossible to utilize.

Enjoyment: 4

If you take a second to disrespect yourself by turning your brain off, this manga is just as enjoyable as any other SoL but given it's unique art, it'll become a memorable experience. A four in this category is generous to be honest, but it's what I felt the manga merited.

Overall, if you want to read this manga, go right on ahead. Manga like this always make me appreciate the Oregairu's and Hyouka's more. There's even the group of people who don't care for technical story writing ability and enjoy manga like this. I'm not a purebred classical anime enjoyer either to be honest, I enjoyed this manga way more than I should have.

Is it a guilty pleasure? Not really, it doesn't even scratch that itch as well as Date A Live or Sewayaki Kitsuno no Senko-san does. The premise itself no matter how unique or interesting it sounds in your hand didn't matter in the grand scheme of the manga because it only existed to force the sentimental ending. Using your premise just to get to a ending doesn't really matter, in fact, that's how most premises are thought up in the first place. But the problem does arise when it becomes obvious and you skip out on development because you never cared for it in the beginning.

It's hard to tell if there was passion put into this project, a statement that if you have to even ask, indicate there wasn't. It's not as much as a void or meaningless as my previous manga review, Ashigei Shoujo Komura-san but it certainly isn't all that better.

It scrapes by as a 2/10 for me.

the MC is awesome,he's cool and not dense at all Erika and Ginka is really cute but i think most characters can be developed further, like the childhood friend and even the 2 main girls, they need more interaction and conflicts the author could have also added like another 50 chapters of them after the end,3 of them going on dates, have a fight or something the final 10 chapters is kinda rushed too i think the art is nice, the ecchi scene is great i really wish there is a sequel for this but it's already 3 years so :< it's was a fun ride for me,really enjoyed the manga it's not letting me submittingso i want to say i love ginka more

Ok, so i'm writing this comment because there are just 5 reviews on this manga now and 3 of them rate this story so low it's incredible. I enjoyed this manga. This is actually all you have to know. I wanted to just read something completed and so i searched for a harem manga that's actually complete. And i found this. From the beginning the premise was interesting. You know what that is. But the first few chapters are actually the fault for some of the wrongs with this manga. It tries to introduce you the characters, or the setting, can't decide on which tochoose (PUN).

The thing is, the art style isn't unique, maybe not even something special, but it's good enough as to not make you walk away without actually trying to understand what's going on. If we are to talk about the characters, i liked them. I was actually not annoyed by them, maybe because in this, not like in other manga, the mc is at fault here and deserves like 60% or maybe 70% of those slaps, you know when i'm saying this i am actually jealous. Yes the mc has such luck that is...i mean skill, cause not like others most of his actions are not pure coincidences and that's the good thing here, because now you can understand the slaps and their role here. But as a man, i can't say i actually approve of the way he lives, but i would lie to say i'm not jealous. Throughout the story he becomes even more so, and well, the ecchi tag is well deserved. The story while the idea is very good, not so good portrayed and despite the 50 chapters which at the start may seem to be many, when you actually finish it, you crave at least 50 more. But not as a prolonged story but more screen time. If you yourself will finish the story will probably get what i'm saying.

Now to tell you honestly, this was on my taste. I marked this as a 10 because for me it was a 10. You will see others marking it so much lower, but that's just how they felt. Some advantages for this manga?

-no over the top drama

-well patched characters

-ecchi moments that actually are making you go to battle:))

-and a good old life doesn't have to be so bad all the time

This is an one sided rant about this story which for me was good, because their is just that good feeling all through the manga. The ending was amazing, again in my opinion, and as much as i would want to spoil it for you, i'm not gonna do it. But it was. Others might not like it for some obvious reason that i'm not going to judge, but a piece of advice. Read well that ending, and understand it well.

And lastly the characters grow through the story. Looking for more such stories seeing that this one is fairly new as 2014 was not so long anyway.

With this, my redemption comment for this manga is done, as you can see i'm a fan of it, so this might just be my own delusional liking, but hey, everyone is different, in the end you are the one who should decide how it is, but at least this one is not gonna give you a headache while reading it so that gives it bonus points. Thanks for reading this great piece and stay healthy and safe. We shall meet again someday. Farewell.

-Excellent cozy romance, pretty good and decent, the plot its interesting and its development is good or at least decent, rarely fails but easily not irritating. The main characters, such as you relationships, are the best thing in this manga, the male main character is simple but very likeable, such as the love interesting, both of them have a decent development, but it ends perfectly.Major flaws of this manga are small details, like some skipable chapters. The ending could be better but is decent and satisfactory. -NOTE:theres a little bit of ecchi, but over time there is more of it and the body proportions are more realists than the avarage,so is not so "uncomfortable" for some people -Plot(7/10)

-main characters (8,5/10)

-romance (8,5/10)

-ending(6,5/10)

I wouldn’t lie, I really felt the ending. It’s a common story about a normal guy wanting to achieve a girl of higher status but with a twist (it just adds The Honest Woodcutter). The story is thrilling (and a bit lewd). It’s basically a test for the MC for every episode. One step at a time to get closer to his love interest’s heart. Except there are 2 of them… The story will get much more interesting (for me at least) It’s not too long and it’s honestly a great read if you don’t have much time on your hand I can’t state enough how much I’veenjoyed reading this manga

The ending is good enough, I am more than happy with the ending.

Love this manga

I really enjoyed this Manga. Kin no Kanojo, Gin no Kanojo has a really high potential to be one of the best rom-coms out there, they could've explore more of the childhood friend arc and as well as more love-triangle between the Gold and Silver heroine's. In my opinion having more of those rivalry could spice up the story as well as being more interesting and some readers might get MORE attachment than intended due to the characters showing more affections than it was suppose to be. Be it as it may, the Manga is still a GOOD and INCREDIBLE to read for fun or atleast thatwas the emotion that I felt while reading this. It is not a masterpiece of a rom-com but it delivers an honest work, no over the top drama but I do hate the Male MC, he is incredibly annoying in my opinion and most of the things he does is Sexual Harassment bullshit and being a non-interesting MC, hes just your casual ecchi bland personality MC with "unique quirks", but despite all that. The characters makes up for his "funny" actions.

thats it for for short review, my Overall Honest score is 7 (originally 6 if that ending didnt happen) add 1 pity point for the ending and its 8.

The Heroine deserves more than that annoying of an MC.

GINKA BEST GIRL THANK GOD.

Sorry for my english in advance. I was forced to skip the half of the manga ( I was just seeing pictures not reading) because texts are just too much to talk about nothing. You eat some sushis ? 5 entire panels and 15 bubbles of dialogue... It becomes annoying I didnt find the plot especially interesting until the end which was very good and satisfying. MC is the normal shounen idiot but he's not as tense as normal MC in shounen so at least it wasn't bad.The 2 girls were the main thing in this manga that redeems the note. Unfortunately it's not pink everywhere. You have the cliche of the tsundere who was way too much tense and way too much predictable during at least half of the story ' she was just acting like a tsundere every chapters by punching MC because of misunderstandings) and the cliche of the princess who was not as tense and in my opinion more interesting until the end. Both were great at the end, the tsundere was cute and the princess too so it's really complicated to have a preference.

The bad point of this story (with the texts) was the humor. It was... Awkward.

Only bad jokes and cliche about MC who touches some breast and he get punched in every chapters... It was just bad.

To conclude, the ending is very good and great to see, it makes the 2 girls really good but until the end it was quite annoying to reat so i give a 5 which means average.
