Reviews for Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto
Back to MangaDo you have time to talk about our Lord and Savior Sakamoto? Sakamoto desu ga? Alternate title: Swagamoto When i saw this manga about this random guy . I kind of thought at first that It wouldnt be Any good then i read few chapters and things became clear that sakamoto Is A kind of guy where legends Are made of and he' too epic to rate. Story: Sakamoto / 10 Seashells as a visiting gift, he created a dynamic art piece using nothing but a bamboo stick and his teacher, reformed a group of delinquents by getting them to quit smoking and instead pursue the noble cause ofblowing the perfect spherical bubble, looks cool while feeding pigeons, and he can somewhat eat rice with nothing but health class as a side dish. Fought a bee evenly using chopstick then again I dont think sakamoto went full poeer on the bee. With that said, who needs superheroes like superman , batman, or any badasses out ther if you have our savior sakamoto?
Overall: Sakamoto / 10
The overall value and Awesomeness can only be mesured in a scale of SAKAMOTOS, reaching the highest factor of all, that being 1 Sakamoto; because there should be no duplicate. Sakamoto is sakamoto
So why are you not worshipping already and accept him as your savior?
On one occasion I've noticed on the forum the situation, where one guy described a plot twist in anime he saw by saying "this plot twist is like rotation of three hundred sixty degrees", the people who was posting in this topic was having fun of him of course becouse it shouldn't be "three hundred sixty degrees" but "one hundred and eighty", after couples of funny posts posted about, he replied by saying "I don't know why are you having fun of me, everythings fine with my post", then one guy replied him that his attitude changed by three hundred sixty degrees about this situation.Everone was LOLING, ROFLING and LMAOING, people was saying this riposte was best they ever saw, it was the funniest they ever saw, then someone said it was perfect. Then I've used the fast reply option and said "Yes his riposte was good, however its not perfect like SAKAMOTO DESU GA? Manga is". Everyone was like "Yes, you are right"
After reading couple of chapters, I was like "How it is even possible this manga have 8.08 overall score?", becouse of my iritation I've sent message to admin of MAL site that was offline, in my first message I've putted title "why is this manga so underrated?", there was no response, so I've sent second message with title "why SAKAMOTO DESU GA? Manga so underrated?" then somehow in same minute he logged in and give me response which was shocking:
"Excuse my rudeness LtKurenaiRin, I've didnt know you meant SAKAMOTO DESU GA? Manga, to tell the truth, we have some issues with site, the real overall score of SAKAMOTO DESU GA? Manga is 10.00, scored by 100 000 000 users."
I was like "WHAT? There is not even that much people living in our world!"
His reply "I KNOW DUDE BECOUSE OF THAT THERE IS SO MANY BUGS IN MAL THAT CAUSES PEOPLE CAN ADD MORE THAN 5 FAV ANIMES"
And that is how I can describe this manga at least in introduction.
Story - 10 - The story is absolutely perfect, it will just take to read only one chapter to make you score it 10, it is becouse of ultimate perfection in every aspect, it tells about many different situations of the perfect character which is Sakamoto in his high school life that is always solved in perfect way. Without a doubt this is a perfect story that will keep you on the edge of your seat, becouse of perfect amount of perfection.
Artwork - 10 - The artwork is absolutely perfect, it is showed by everytime where Sakamoto shows up in unbelievable perfectly phenomenaly way which is impossible to explain by words. I'am actually atheist and I don't belive something like god exist, until I saw picture of Sakamoto.
Soundtrack - 10 - Of course I do realise this is review about manga and I have to say soundtrack is also perfect!
Character - 10 - The main character of this phenomenaly perfectly manga is Sakamoto, which is the definition of pure perfection, by writing reviews you can always see the tip on right side which tells "Be sure to tell us the reasons for WHY you liked or disliked this anime or manga.", so I can tell it is becouse Sakamoto is just perfect there is nothing more to say, if you staying in your mommy place becouse she is good at cooking, then after tasting Sakamoto dish, you would probably move out. If you are male and homophobic, then just after seeing Sakamoto you would become gay and would start looking for dakimakuras at Google with Sakamoto version.
Enjoyment - 10 - I just cant wait for more chapters, its just like I've never seen something like that before, I've re-read all available chapters so many times, I've stopped couting after 41. Enjoyment of everyone who read this one is also 10! This is so perfect I had to write review about this! No WAIT! actually I would give to enjoyment score 1! Is it becouse some characters in this manga cant recognize PERFECTION of Sakamoto which is more irritating than Yaoi fangirls!
Overall - 10 - Doesnt matter what you like and what you dislike, you will just give 10 score like everyone gave, just give it a try and taste ultimate PERFECTION.
At the end I can say I wish my English is so perfect at Sakamoto is :). I hope you found my review helpful, but I guess its impossible for me to do it in PERFECT way.
My brothers and sisters, I am here to preach about our divine brother, Sakamoto. A human amongst insects, a king amongst men, & a god amongst kings. He is the most interesting man in the world. When life gives you lemons, give them to Sakamoto and he will make you an artistic masterpiece. A piece of work so great even the mighty Van Gogh & Leonardo Da Vinci will cower in shame. Sakamoto desu-ga is a holy book depicting the life of Sakamoto. Watch him as he performs the tasks of gods. From cleaning the ceiling with brooms to writing with both hands simultaneously to playingBach on a whack-a-gator machine. Do not worry, Sakamoto is not a malicious god, the celestial comedy that stems from those events were created exactly so we can laugh more than we have ever had before. He will allow you to find pleasure in his deeds. Accept his kindness and laugh to your heart’s content.
Our god’s benevolence has no limits. He does not discriminate, he helps all around him. For most of the chapters, we see people change for the better as a result of Sakamoto’s influence. Bullies turned to idolizing fans, a narcissist turned class clown, & a once shallow girl learned the importance of sincerity. Don’t forget these are all accomplished through Sakamoto’s outrageous and extraordinary actions. You will have a blast watching Sakamoto change people in the most bizarre and ridiculous ways.
The world he lives in, is a beautiful place. The characters, the backgrounds, and especially Sakamoto. With good art, you get to see every bit of awesomeness that is Sakamoto and his antics.
To call our main protagonist perfect would be the understatement of the century. No model can match his looks. No voice actor can match his voice. No ballet dancer can match his grace. He is simply unrivaled in all aspects. He makes guys and girls blush to their ears. He makes married women have second thoughts. He gives everyone around a better life. Without him, the lives of many would be in shambles. The world needs Sakamoto.
If you are currently reading Sakamoto desu-ga, I give you my utmost respect. As for those who are not yet reading, there is still time as he is a merciful god. You will find great joy in the comedy and over the top scenes of Sakamoto desu-ga .Your smiles and laughs will bring happiness to Sakamoto.
Did you know Sakamoto-kun? The most flawless characters ever? No? Sakamoto-kun is one of the comedy manga that combines with realistic art and random story. However, thats what make this manga is more entertaining than it should be. Random comedy story and overpowered or rather should be said "flawless" main character is what makes this manga is fun to read. The story is rather simple, its about our hero and saviour, Sakamoto-kun who encounters problem in the daily life and how he solve it with a "fancy" way. Like what did you do if you see a fire who would burn you up? find a water?what if there wasnt any water around? For our lord and saviour, Sakamoto. He would use his sweat to extinguished it. How? because he is a saviour! duh.
Sakamoto is pretty much our focus attention and this person what makes this manga is more interesting. He is ABSOLUTELY perfect and flawless guy, there is many way to describe this guy, handsome, smart, great, admirable, flawless, uke, super, cool, etc(put any good aspects in here). He is a guy who would turn you into a gay if you're a man and ended up in love and wanna married him right awat if you're a girl. Thats how badass Sakamoto is.
How is the art in this manga? Well, its certainly good and how Sano Nami draw realistically in this manga is really suitable with the story and the gag. Though this manga art is probably not-for-all and sometimes it could be weird for some readers. but Who cares? As long as there is Sakamoto in there, this manga is ABSOLUTELY perfect. Forget about the art and lets keep talking about Sakamoto.
The other characters that appears in this manga is nothing really tobe noticeable, they already sink with the mighty of Sakamoto.
In the end, This manga is one of comedy manga that you must read if you're looking for fun and comedy manga that would make you laugh hard, this is the one that i would like to recommend.
I want to say that this manga is a perfect 10 with no flaws much like Sakamoto himself but unlike the titular character, it falls just a bit short in every way. Art: Volumes covers can be quite deceiving as volume covers show in this case. While it's not terrible, it's hardly good either. There's bad perspective all over the place, the variety in faces is rather minimal when not exaggerated for comedy and facial expressions come from a very limited when not specifically exaggerated. As this a comedy manga I think some of this can be discounted since at times bad art can onlymake things funnier. However rigid expressions sometimes do the opposite. What I'll not though is that it doesn't shy away from some difficult poses which alongside perspective is a difficult thing to draw right.
Aside from that nothing special, backgrounds are about average so not much to say about the.
Story: comedy of Sakamoto is as stated in the synopsis. He's just too good! You might already think "oh, another one joke comedy, how original" to which I'd say be sour somewhere else. While yes, the punchline is always that Sakomoto is perfect at absolutely everything, it's the situations in which he excels that makes it funny. Have you ever seen a grade schooler rent adult video while hiding his real age with Bond level calculation and agility? How about hiding from lovestruck housewife by pretending to be transported inside a tv? I doubt it and Sakamoto is all about this. Excelling at mundane to unusual tasks in unexpected and hilarious ways.
I say hilarious but your mileage might wary as with any comedy manga and since Sakamoto doesn't offer anything but gags it will very much decide how much you'll like it.
Personally, while this manga offers a constant barrage of comedy, only a part of it resonated with and made me laugh while everything else usually just fell flat.
Fun factor: being only 4 volumes long and therefore not taking much more than 3 hours to read I think it's a very worthwhile read. Check first few chapters if you like the humor and if do, I'm sure you'll enjoy the rest of it.
Here's my take after reading all 24 enigmatic chapters of Sakamoto Desu Ga? by Nami Sano. Have you heard of the guy in class 1-2? He's so majestic, he's amazing, and he is the epitome of perfection in every way. Have you heard of Sakamoto? The story revolves around Sakamoto and the people that admire him, adores him, envies him, and try to outdo him in and out of their class 1-2. It is fun to read how Sakamoto handles tight situations with ease and beauty, and how he makes simple mundane tasks become awesome and reach a level of refinement that only a paragon like him cando.
I would say that the art put into the story was great and most of the characters were given time to shine, second only to Sakamoto of course which makes them memorable one way or another.
What I like about the story is it does not take itself so seriously and loves to play around with the concept of a godlike character in a simple setting like a classroom. It was not laggy and it neatly concludes each chapter that you can enjoy whenever you want to read something light and fun.
Although that is also the problem that it carries with it; the simplicity of the plot and the short run of the manga. But do not be misled by this since I appreciate how entertaining the manga is.
With that said, I would give Sakamoto Desu ga? 8 dodged pies out of 10.
Don't take the score to be bad, it just an overall score this is one of those low scoring mangas that definitely deserves to be read once, but only once. As of all my manga sources there are only 20 chapters not the 27 this and another site have but i digress. The story gets such a low score for many reasons it ends way too soon, but then again there was no end goal for series either just Sakamoto doing his thing being Sakamoto and the end fight never really happened; yet. Seeing as this mangaka likes to take a six month break from timeto time, usually once a year. The main overall story is really just random things that happen to Sakamoto. Well it's a very engrossing read and the art is very good, characters are different to what i'm used to so they get an ok score. Again it is worth one read but no more.
What would have happened if Spike Spiegel(of Cowboy Bebop) and Balalaika(of Black Lagoon) had a child? The answer is Sakamoto. He like a protege of Sabastian Michaelis but there is a catch. He is better than him at everything. He seems to make the word 'awesome' somewhat pale.He is more awesome than the god Chuck Norris himself.A lot of things can be said about him but let's wait here. This a manga about a guy/boy/superhero/etc. and his everyday experiences in highschool. There is no overarching story or plot but just random incidents. Sakamato is the center of the universe here and effects everything often leading to a goodconclusion.
The art is good in this one and the panels are beautifully drawn. The sketch work is also nice which helps in creating a blissful atmosphere.
Since the manga only has episodic plots most of the times, character development may not be its stronger trait. But the characters in the manga had evolved in the somewhat 16 chapters that I have read till now so I have no problem with that.
I wholeheartedly enjoyed Sakamoto Desu Ga.It was just simple, pure, untainted fun.I would recommend it to anyone who wants to read something that can bring back the little child in them.
