Reviews for Mayonaka no Oyatsu

I've read a lot of BL manga in my time, and this one seemed pretty much like all the rest. The only exceptional quality was the art - I enjoyed it a lot more than most yaoi mangas! The story was pretty typical, and the characters were average at best, but overall it was a cute and short read! Definitely recommended if you're looking for a short and sweet BL with a few funny lines thrown in!

Let's start with the story, This story amused me, no words can describe what I'm feeling right now. The story was amazing Art, yes so good especially the scenes. I like the author, and I am sure you will like this at too. It's very lovely, the author portrayed them right so sexy and cute. Character and Enjoyment, even though the manga focused on the two it doesn't fail to give enjoyment to the readers. Is it because I am a yaoi lover? I don't think so. I really like this manga, overall it's good. Why don't you try it?

This mangaka has a thing for love-struck men (see: all of Kanda sensei's works). Not that I mind. Her stories, including this one, are always so funny and beautiful, her dialogue (which is probably the most common flaw I find in a yaoi, as all the melodrama has a tendency to bog down the conversation and leave me drowning in confusion) is seamless and adorable. particularly love how she can tell what questions I have about the plot and completely lampshades them (Sorta spoiler: For example, when Azuma and Taira have sex for the first time and Azuma seems to totally love it, Ikind of went, "Oh, so Taira slept around even though he loves Azuma? I mean, how else would he get so skilled?" Which is of course what Azuma wondered, but Taira immediately puts our minds at peace. No, he didn't sleep around, he's completely devoted to Taira.)

I think it's funny how the fact that they are uncle and nephew didn't disturb me at all, unlike with Ore ni Koi Shite Dousunda. I think it just goes to show how well Kanda Neko handled the situation of familial relations and how much I loved her characters. <3

This manga was really cute and the art was so beautiful! The story was kind of cliché with your typical (but not too typical) characters, but it sure was enjoyable. I giggled a few times of how cute some parts were! Overall, it's a nice and short read. If you are looking for some deep and original story, skip that. But if you want something really cute with beautiful artwork, this manga is for you!
