So, when i first see the sinopsis, i was thinking about another harem-ecchi-romance generic (i love these), in the first 30 chapters is nice and fluid, but when the mc begins to be a CUCK, is hard to read, i only feel angry with this, my enjoyment was 10 and go to 0 in a few chapters. I'm really mad right now. The final chapter (100) is ultra garbage. Only the first chapters are good and the MC is dumb as a door. The Art is pretty good actually, have that "nostalgia", seems like a 2000's manga and is beautiful at the same time. This manga ismore like a Shoujo, if you are a woman, you probably gonna like more than i.

This is a unabashed ecchi harem manga. So, I'll be comparing it to other unabashed ecchi harem manga (To Love Ru, Love Hina, Nisekoi, Ai Yori Aoshi, etc.). I say this, because genre expectations are different. If you want an in-depth look at one couple and deep relationship building, go read a shoujo romance. If you want a grittier, more realistic vision of young people struggling with sex and relationships, find a good seinen. Hacchi Icchi isn't those things, and was never going to be those things. So, compared to the expectations of the genre, here's what Hacchi Icchi does well: -Character development. The protagonist spends time with each girl individually, and each girl is a presented as a unique, easily identifiable, and somewhat fleshed out, person.

- Stable cast. This isn't one of those manga that feels like it is necessary to keep adding new characters every couple chapters. In Chapter 1 you meet 8 girls and 1 boy, and then you take 100 chapters to get to know them.

- Moderately aggressive male lead (who also isn't a jerk). This is NOT 100 chapters of cock-blocking and "fainting from a nose bleed every time a girl smiles at him".The male lead is interested in sex, the girls are interested in sex, and they explore each other throughout the manga.

That being said, Hacchi Icchi is far from perfect:

- The ending is bad. The manga introduces unnecessary drama in the last 10 chapters, and then just stops without a conclusive ending. Then in the epilogue tries to make a joke out of the lack of a conclusive ending, which just feels insulting.

- Basically every character who isn't one of the main 9 is annoying, and the manga is worse off for their presence. This includes the MC's brother, the MC's friends, and the few friends of the girls that appear.

- The MC does learn and grow over the course of the manga, but not nearly as much as he needs to. He starts off a nice, horny, immature guy. He ends a nice, horny, slightly-less immature guy. You see enough of his personal growth and nice-guy character to understand why the girls like him, but only at a bare minimal level.

Over all, if you like the genre, Hacchi Icchi is worth reading ONLY if you are already a big fan of ecchi harem manga, and you've read the more well-known books in the genre. Otherwise, skip it.

Enjoyed, and yeah, satisfied? It can do better I think. Interesting from the looks of the cover, then I started to read it. Whelp, the art is looks good. Entertained, so I continued and then the thought "Ah, this generic harem" appear, but still entertained and I continue to dig in and it end. Ok, story wise, ok. It's not good, but the is pretty good to my eyes, a lot of fan service... yeah, ok, I continue. Mainly I only go for the art, the character art is good, maybe because I haven't found any manga with similar art that is better or maybe I havea bad taste. For me this is good for a mature genre manga.

For the character itself, such naïve, such rival, such and such and such. Ok. Admirable character, scum character, ambitious character, you just start to think "Just that?". Still, the main character skill just increased so good as the story progressing for the main character, but still, ok character.

Yeah, for the enjoyment itself. You can smile while reading the manga. "Why I started to read this?" will appear in you mind.

Overall? If you want enjoy, look for fun and wasting time, it's good. If not, nah, it's classic.

S P O I L E R!!!! I didn't think my 2nd review would be this hated This is not the first manga that makes me stressed and hates the characters in it, this Harem genre may be common about choosing a wife but it will not escape the drama, of course it is natural and it is like that. The way the characters are made is very bad, the bad thing is when they are both, they always prefer doing perverted things rather than thinking about what to do in the future. The MC of this manga swears that he is super stupid, he is inserious mode when when he is horny, he can't be serious about what to do, he always says "this" or "that" but can't be serious, he plays with the flow of slowing down the theme. HEROINE IS ALSO STUPID HERE, THEY ARE SHY TO WHO THEY MEET, ah bro, I'm really annoyed with the ending of this manga, it's very unclear, fooling

tl;dr: A standard harem series that has great art and is amusing enough when all it tries to be is amusing, but it overall takes itself too seriously especially in regards to the ending. This manga is a pretty generic harem rom-com with a premise that is pretty common in the genre. In terms of execution its only okay. First off, let me say that the greatest strength is definitely the art in my opinion, wherein it was all around excellent, with good designs, framing, quality, etc. The author is really really good at drawing frilly clothes and makes good use of that. Certain shots, such as somechapter covers and volume covers were exceptionally great. The story was a mixed bag. The heroines all have interesting personalities, but there are no real character arcs for any of them. They get almost no background and very little development. Shinichiroi does go through some development, in that he starts off lacking confidence and being completely indecisive and ends with some degree of confidence only being mostly indecisive. Still, the relationship development that does happen doesn’t feel particularly earned most of the time. In terms of plot, there isn’t really much beyond the premise, but it does have a lot of small segments of drama. I feel that’s the core of my problems with this manga. Having drama itself is fine, but I feel like this manga was taking itself too seriously. The premise is completely ridiculous, and the people reading this know that and find it an acceptable suspension of disbelief. So this trying to be more grounded in a sense just felt completely pointless and a waste as as a result most of the drama and conflicts just felt annoying. The just daily living slice of life with comedy and such was a lot more amusing and the parts focused around that were genuinely enjoyable, and they do make a significant portion of the manga so it’s not like all of its terrible. But whenever it would throw in conflicts trying to make the manga more serious or give it more depth, such as matters involving Shinichirou’s brothers, those portions just felt like a pain. On top of that, for the most part these serious portions never result in any significant change either, so they felt entirely pointless, but I guess at the same time that prevented them from hindering the enjoyable parts that much. The exception to that is the ending, which I once again, felt like it was taking itself far too seriously. How the path to the ending begins is incredibly abrupt. The entire thing is overtly melodramatic. And in the end, I feel that the direction it was taking the ending in was solid enough to be a good satisfying ending, but it tries to stay too grounded to really commit to it, and it just sort of ends in a way that doesn’t resolve things well enough and leaves things open with a potential of a good but ridiculous ending happening, but also very much leaving things open to a bad ending, so it’s not really satisfying at all. On top of that, in the omake it then veers into explicitly showing said bad ending as a joke, which is a really bad note to end on and just leaves a really bitter aftertaste.
