Kill Me Kiss Me is your average cross-dress manhwa with a boyish female lead trying to get closer to a boy she likes. Along the way, she finds that acting as her cousin is rougher than really was and finds strength in herself to keep going. Oh wait, no its not. Right after the first volume the mangaka decides to throw away the 'side-story' and go into a romance between our original lead and another girl, love struck with our original heroine's identical cousin. The original plot might as well have been thrown away--or better: it should have been a one-shot. The second arc is completely of irrelevantto the first. Because of the switch in views, character is almost pointless.

Our first lead is Tae, a girl, with girlish thoughts and ideas, but she is willing to act as her cousin and can though she isn't very strong, her bark does plenty for her femininity.

The second psuedo-lead is also a girl, a fangirl in every meaning of the term, and secretly a tough fighter.

This is not a manhwa where relationships blossom, there is no depth to show that. Instead its about the road getting there, making relationships that much more difficult to achieve rather than to work with them.

Overall, the second arc was left with a snooze and disappointment. While I would like to recommend this as a good read, only the first volume is great and the rest of them drag on a more cliche and pointless story. Read the first volume and the first volume only.

I didnt think Id actually like this manga, I had bought the 5 volumes 2nd hand for cheep and I read them all in 3 days time! I usually keep to shounen manga so this was something completely different. The story is mainly about girls that have a crush on the pretty boys and the boys fighting in gangs, to put it very bluntly. READ THIS MANGA ITS VERY ENTERTAINING! It's both fun for girls and for boys to read. It has it all, romance, comedy, fighting, genderconfusion and puppies~! I think Im gonna check if I can get my hands on some more stufflike this,

Later,

Kill me kiss me is an amazing manga with 75% comedy and romance. Anyone looking for a romance, comedy and drama manga will love it. The story line is one of a kind and one that you wont find anywhere else. The art is amazing and in a way cute. The characters evolve so much through the whole story and every episode they learn somthing knew about themselves, eachother and the world around them but they also learn to love. Once you start reading this manga you wont be able to stop and when you finish you will be wishing for more i enjoyed this manga verymuch and i would read it again anytime because of its carefree feel. Overall this manga was funny, romantic and dramatic but not too much of anything it balanced it all out perfectly i give it a 9/10.

This was my gateway into the world of non-mainstream america entertainment. I inherited vol 2-5 from my older cousin who I don't think actually read it. I got it when i was like 10 years old and saw the mature rating and didn't read it, but when I was 11 I decided to give it a try. I started reading at about 8pm and didn't stop until I finished at 4am. This may not be the greatest of all time, but it is definitely unique. I am a big an of character switch gender roles, or breaking from the normal gender associated actions, and thisdefinitely started that for me. I had re-read this so many times, and it continues to be one of my favorite.

The big change in story line and main characters after the first novel, makes it all the more unique, and Young-Yoo Lee all the better a writer, simply because she saw an idea that would make more of an impact and ran with it.

I understand that many were looking for a continuation of the first volume with the second, but without that change, Young-Yoo may not have had the passion, ideas and plot twist with the expanded universe. Also, there is a good chance it would have just faded into the background as another of its kind, not making any waves.

Being 19 now and still loving this, its definitely one that deserves more credit

My recommendation is to just stop after Vol. 1. The story was a bait and switch. I love Vol. 1 and my score would be a solid 8 if it just finished off there. As the pacing and the character progression of Tae in her desire to get her crush's attention. I found her very easy to like and want to see her in a better place. I even found Jung- woo far more developed in this opener. Vol. 2 through 5 is a completely different story and I find it weak in comparison. I personally felt that the story between Jung-woo and Que-min wasnot only a rough draft, but actually hurt Jung Woo's character totally destroying his dynamic. He went from being a quirky and independent boy. A embodiment of the support as he who would dress in drag (as Tae) for his cousin not to get into any trouble. To a guy always moping about looking like a bishonen. Que-Min is like Prototype Myung-Ee from the same artist's Moon Boy manhwa, and even Myung-Ee isn't as disappointing. I really didn't like Que-min, her trying to get Jung-woo's attentions and eventual affection is just creepy and borderline a stalker's position. and really I don't see them as a lasting couple. So it was really hard to keep invested.

Que-min and Jung-woo, sorry I just don't buy them being in a relationship as it seems so incompatible.

So as I said earlier just stop at Vol. 1. I have read and reread and re-reread that one and I liked it a lot. It is a solid and casual story that shows, and I recommend it for the lengths people will go through for love. The rest is basically filler that fills nothing.

This story is quite good when you read the first book about Tae Yeon who have fallen for the handsome model Kun Kang and therefore convince her identical cousing Jung Wo to switch place with her so she can meet him, its very entertaining and the twist that the ganster Ga Won falls for Tae when he think she is her cousin Yung Wo makes the whole thing even better, though in the second book it got very confusing were they change the lead character to Que Min, a strong girl who falls for the pretty boy Jung Wo, they seems to almost forget aboutthe original main character who was Tae Yeon, I think that from the second book its almost as if there is a completely new story with a new lead character, the serie is good though but it should have been done as two seperate series instead of confusing the readers with the switch of main character,

but i still think that the story is good and worth reading.
