Reviews for First Love Sisters

An at times compelling read with a big ick factor. Some spoilers below. Story: It's a fairly typical setup: An energetic girl falls for her beautiful senpai whomst is all dark and moody later on for unknown reasons. That part is totally fine, but halfway through Hiragi-sensei shows up and starts hitting on girls all the time. It's icky stuff all while being mid 00's romanticized. Lots of predatory lesbian tropes are mixed into a character who we're supposed to be charmed by. Blech. Chemistry: The main couple is entirely carried by how charming the protagonist is with the other being kind of a wet bag. Theprotagonist also has a best friend who is super fun, but she eventually gets swept up by Hiragi-sensei. Blech again. There's a third pairing that feels kinda thrown in there as well.

Art: Good character designs are paired with decent backgrounds and fun paneling. Character expressions and the art overall are well done and make this a fun read.

Another surprisingly okay manga made icky by creepy power dynamics. So much of the dialogue and art was great before the story nose dived into that stuff.
