You read the synopis so you know what the story is about, I also read the synopsis and because I like MiRi's works I decided to try it out. Lets start with the good points. As always I like the way her characters are drawn, the lead girl (Dan-Bi) is strong and will fight anyone, and MiRi has some hot guys in the manhwa. The basis for the story is cool (involving Yakuza in a Manhwa!), and relocating the main character to Korea was a good idea. I really liked the strong Dan-Bi and how she looked out for her team/friends. MiRi also gives background informationon each character and reiterates character names so you dont get lost or say "how did they get to that point?" .

Now the reason why I gave this a 5. The story is completely yawn inducing. Everything is drug out and you feel like the author is beating a dead horse by repeating the same themes over and over again. Like she is using the same story arc again and again just with different characters. Although the main charcter is strong, she is completely unloveable and annoying (she used the Korean/Japanese war as her reasoning for fighting). There is no defined strong male lead to combat her- the one who is in place doesnt have a really developed personality. In addtion each charater is really shallow. There is way too much unnessescary drama, and hardly any romance (for it to be shoujo). You can forsee the plots coming almost the chapter ahead and the twists in the plot are more annoying than surprising.

I literally skiped pages becasue I wanted to get through it, but then got to a point where I just dropped it, it was no longer time worthy. I didnt finish and its highly unlikely that I ever will. Bs_A

Ok for me its like really...hard to get into shoujo/romance manhwa. because the names are hard to keep up with and the art sometime are out lined unnecessarily dark. But the art was light, the characters are lovable; but this actually has a semi-serious plot to it, which was unexpected. Anywho, what grasp my attention to give it a chance was the synopsis: The main character is Dan-bi is famous in japan as a delinquent and the daughter of a Yakuza boss; she loves more than anything is killed before her eyes. She is blinded after they attacked her making her father'sdeath the last thing she sees with her own eyes. Her mother sends her to Korea, where she get an eye transplant.

"Things get complicated when a mysterious boy who looked in on Dan-bi when she was in the hospital. This boy always looks so sad, and once he even asked for permission to kiss Dan-bi's eyes."

Dan-bi is focused on revenge even though she has a curiosity of love she does not pursue it.

The many male characters{SPOILER...they all have some relation to the person who donated her eyes} that gather around Dan-bi are unpredictable at times, which makes you think...well, who(if) is she going to fall for?

Honestly, where do i begin.... Story i liked the idea of the story at first (although not original, it is good enough to hold up its own). However, i soon learned that this plot would develop into the most unrealistic and unsatisfying situations one could possibly imagine. At one point, it just felt like the author had put random and in-cohesive scenarios into a hat and started picking at random. The story made no sense and was just "trying" to ad a sense of drama (which it miserably failed at). I think even at one point, the main character threatened to remove her own eyeballs just toget what she wanted. Basically the story made no sense and was one random event after another.

Art

meh, it was ok

Character

Dan-bi is the most irritating and lackluster character i have ever read. Everything she die was annoying because she only thought of herself. Even when everyone was giving so much, all she would do is take. Normally, with this type of character, they tend to have a tougher exterior and a soft center. However, if ur waiting for character development from her it rarely happens. Her actions, motives and thoughts make no sense and cannot possibly truly mimic how an actual person would act in such situations. She was just terribly developed.

The other characters are nothing special, just a bunch of guys who despite their terrible treatment still love and desire to help our protagonist. Then of course we have our male lead bad ass who hates the world and everyone in it, but we're supposed to love him cause he rides a motor cycle. Wow, i am so attracted.

Enjoyment

minimal

Overall

Well after reading my rant, its pretty clear that i don't care much for this Manhwa. Read it if you want to be completely thrown off by the main character and if ur looking for the most ridiculous things to happen (it actually made me laugh, A LOT)
