When I started this series, there were quite a few times when I thought about dropping it because it really seemed like something nearly breaking past ecchi and bordering on nearly H, but the way they wrap the story up was just perfect, and completely changed my opinion on the entire story. It is flawed, but those flaws help it to reach perfection.

Story: 7.25/10 ----------------- A pretty hilarious take on a boy and "monster-girl" romantic-comedy. The manga is told to us via the male lead serving as the narrator with the story progressing neatly in a continuous format. I must admit, this overall story was done very well and the pacing gets an A for both effort and execution. The comedy was aplenty, the supernatural/fantasy aspects was a nice touch, the romance was very cutesy (the harem wasn't really that strong), and when it came down to it, the drama was implemented rather well. Not sure if this counts a spoiler, but the whole feet licking thing was prettyweird for me, though one could argue that it added a unique spin on things- still pretty weird though in my opinion. As for the ending, it wasn't rushed and offered a satisfying wrap up to the story.

Art: 7.5/10

---------------

Artwork was wonderful. The color pages made for some excellent presentation. There was definite a change in the art, more of an improvement in my opinion. After the first 2 or 3 chapters, the art became more smooth and refined. In the early chapters, some of the art was a bit sketchy-like with an excessive amount of texture, shading and toning. The mangaka would eventually tone it down resulting in more defined art work overall. However, textures were still heavily present. Not sure if it was a technique done for visual presentation for depth but I'd prefer less, please. The designs for our characters- whether mains or side ones were drawn really well. The male lead seemed to get the short end of the stick aesthetically as a majority of the effort and attention to detail were focused more on the females; but hey I'm not complaining.

Characters: 7.75/10

--------------------------

I believe the full cast is composed of our male lead and 5 female characters. A witch, her companion/partner who both serve as plot drivers, the female protagonist and romantic interest, the little sister and the classmate. So by definition, a harem- what an assemble huh? Not let me be clear, I quickly skimmed through the manga (I read this a while ago contrary to my review date) and as soon as I got caught a quick glance of one of the females I could immediately recall most if not all of their interactions, roles and scenes throughout that chapter. Now you may think I have pretty darn good memory but it's more of a testament to how memorable the characters were. They were truly unique with a personality to match.

Enjoyment/Overall 7.5/10

---------------------------------

A very enjoyable read that I would recommend to anybody. The variety and combination of the genre tags might seem a bit off putting but setting aside the fantasy and supernatural aspects, deep down Perowan! contains a rather decent love story in it's roots. For those familiar with Harumi Chihiro's manga [Come Come Vanilla!], the premise of the stories are similar but Perowan! is more fleshed out in detail with a more varied cast of characters.

To readers discretion, this does contain some ecchi scenes, but not so intense that it's full nudity. I like the story quite well as it is trying to teach our main protagonist that all living things should share the same equal freedom and luxury that humans have. Manga was short, disappointing at that but overall it was to my taste, even with the female dominating the man for most of the series.

This review contains spoilers so if you haven't finished the manga don't read this. Overall I really loved reading this manga. This was very different to the ones I usually read like "Tokyk ghoul" "Attack on Titan" or "Akame ga kill" to name a few where the plot if the story is centered around fighting against a group of people. This manga is purely story and no action, so I was surprised that I was enjoying this manga. A friend had recommended this manga to me and after reading it I am very thankful for him. When I stated reading perowan I was intrigued onwhy Shirou had to lick Mashiro's feet and how and the effect it had on her. Then when the witch had made them two play her game and she said that they have to "come to terms with another" or that they have to learn to love eachother, Instantly knew this manga was going to be about shirou coping with his new situation and him throughout the manga learning or trying to love Mashiro. Even though I really loved Perowan Hayaku shinsai every thing has a good and bad to it. My main complaint is that it is too fucking short. The manga is only 18 chapters long and the pages per chapter is only I think 23-27 pages long. If some one really wanted to they could read the whole thing in about 3 to 4 hours maybe 5 if you are a slow ready. I mean in the manga we are introduced to these two amazing characters Shirou and Mashiro that we all fell in love with. We all got attached to them and I some ways we could relate to them and the situations they were in. I especially loved mashiro and yes im a guy but i dont just like her the most because of her appearance but the content of her character. I liked her very much because she was always happy and she had a smile on her face. Not to mention she automatically forgave shirou for liking katsurag's feet. I also liked their friend's. Back to the topic. I just feel like this manga could've been alot longer like 50 chapters. The story could have been extended to that length. Since its only 19 chapters we didnt get to see shirou and mashiro conversate much. Yes they had small talk like when he had to turn her into a dog again or when she was horney, but as far as one on one interactions with much meaningful dialogue was limited because of the 19 chapter limit. I just feel like it should have been longer cause I fell in love with the characters, this was short lived. I got attached to all the characters and wanted to see more of them. I am sad because I want to see more of mashiro and shirou but it has been five years since this manga ended and if they were going to make a sequel or a part 2 it would have happend already. Another complaint I have is that shirou finally confessed his love for mashiro at the last chapter, he didn't directly say he loved her but implied it with that kiss. Mashiro loved him like how a wife loves her husband from the very beginning because for dogs licking thier owners means they love them and from the game the witch made them play when he licked her cause he was her pet when she was in her human form she took it as he loves her but in actuality he didn't. I wished that he had loved her like she loved him alot earlier but that could have been an easy fix if the manga wasn't 19 chapters. I was waiting for him to love her and he finally did it but at the very end. I was so happy and a bit sad when they kissed. One more complaint and this ties in to the 19 chapter limit. I wished that we got to see mashiro and shirou as a couple. I wanted to see how they are now, how are they doing and how are their friends doing? At the end it says that mashiro lives with him and everybody and the world accepts her as shirou's cousin but only them two and the audience knows that they love each other like a couple. I wanted to see that but sadly we never will. They are perfect for eachother they are like ying and yang. The author of perowan could've made it longer by them trying to hide their relationship from his sister itchiko and the rest of their friends. It could have lead to knew situations as s couple. I just really want to see that. Those three complaints are all that I have. I did like the ending and in not going to lie but I did cry quite a bit when i was reading the last chapter and what really got me in tears was them two kissing under the bridge and mashiro running to shirou then them embracing each other. I was sad but happy about the ending. Over all I loved the manga it had good story and characters. But just wish that it was longer. I started reading this manga last Tuesday November 28 and finished it yesterday December 1st in class but i had to hold back tears in class but as soon as i came home i had to let it all out. This was my first and last short style manga, i just can't take it the fact that it was this short made it even more sadder. If you had taken the time to read my long opinion or review on this manga, thank you and have a great day.

Perowan!: Hayashinasai! Goshujin-sama is about a young man named Inukai Shirou who's dog somehow got turned into a really sexy woman. Machiro is his dog's name but now Machiro basically tells Shirou that he is the dog now. *Caution there is a lot of ecchi moments in here. Not full on nudity but close. Overall 7/10: This is a decent series with the biggest flaw it has is the fact that it is such a short series. The story is decent, the artwork is nice, the characters have good development, but the length of the series just made everything seemed like a rushed when you're like 3/4through with it. Overall I would recommend this since its a short but good read.

Story 7/10:

The story is really interesting. It has a pretty decent plot not too complicated but enough to keep the reader intrigue. It is a decent love story but you won't realize much of this not until later on in the manga. Of course this series is filled with lots of ecchi moments. There is no chapter that is ecchiless, so if you're not a fan of that, then this might not be your cup of tea. But if you look pass the ecchiness it is a decent story that you should give it a try.

Art 8/10:

I personally like the artwork of this series. The characters look really nice and the ecchi parts are of course pretty generic but good either way. The clothes are simple so its not that complicated.

Character 6/10:

The character development is pretty good in this series. The only thing it kind of lack was the cast, but with such a short series I can see why it mainly focused on the main character Machiro and Shirou. The character development between these two are pretty decent and is really cute. It is just sad that there wasn't a lot of character development for the other characters.

Enjoyment 7/10:

This was a pretty good read. At most it should take you like 2 hours to read because it is such a short series. The moments in the manga was really cute and funny sometimes. But those ecchi moments can kind of get old.
