Reviews for Love Neco

Story: I have to say this was the first time I've ever read any neko yaoi/shounen-ai. It was interesting, to say the least. The story of Love Neco pulled me in so quickly, I was sort of surprised when I found out that I had reached the end of the series. A few things in the series were odd or didn't fit in, but other than that it was definitely unique and very very cute! Art: Love Neco was also my first taste of Mishima Kazuhiko's artwork. It's undeniably cute, and enhanced the story so much. I laughed often at the artwork in the backgrounds (pay attention!) andsome facial expressions had me struggling to catch my breath!

Character:

Definitely one of the bests parts of Love Neko, the characters clash so much they actually fit together like the pieces of a puzzle. It was cool to see the relationships everyone shared, and how those relationships changed in the last few chapters.

Enjoyment and Overall:

This is such a cute story, and it's not that long, so you definitely shouldn't overlook it. It gave me a good laugh, so it'd probably be best for a quick read to cheer your mood a little. READ IT! >.<

This manga plays at the over-used "Love Doll" plot involving the master slowly coming to love the robot, despite what others say. I have to say, not the most original story but the way the typical love dool story was twisted around sure made it interesting! Story: (8) Guy orders doll, and there happens to be a catch. Whatever, huh?? But what happens when the doll is of the same gender as you and all he thinks about is sex? Not onl that, he doesn't seem to care whether you want it or not! I laughed at the some of the situations that came by thanks toNecoco's doings. They brought a good amount of humor. The story really wasn't that twisted, but the way the doll tried to rape Eiji sure really went far from what I've seen from "Love Doll" stories! Not only that, the concepts of the two side-stories in the series were great! Another twist with the "Love Doll" genre :)

At first the art seemed a little weird to me, a little bit to squared for my liking. But after a while, I do admit to liking the art. It really grows on to you and is rather different from the art usually used in more modern series. Their faces weren't "smooth as heck" and the hair wasn't over the top. Really nice!

Characters weren't really outstanding, some were clear stereotypes, but for a series with 7 chapters it's done rather well. The characters are very likeable, even those that aren't the main attraction. A few characters may seem bi-polar to you, or at least to me they did, but that served as more of a comical affect than anything else. None of the characters really grated on my nerves or anything, which I found really amazing. For how little characterization there was possible with such short time, none of the characters were on my death list.

I got a kick out of this short, humorous, yaoi series. I read it in about an hour and couldn't wait for another of Necoco's antics. It's a short series that's mostly comical and romantic, and really pays of for such short time. Short read that keeps you entertained and doesn't drag on at all. Sure, there's the typical emo moment, but it barely lasts a few pages(Yay!). For me, who adores humor and awkward situations, this was a great little quick read. If I'm ever bored, I'm considering this as a short little re-read for entertainment :)

Despite my enjoyments, the story isn't the most original and the characters aren't the most original either. The entertainment you'll get from this series though, REALLY makes up for it.

Personally the story was really cute. I love most of Mishima's works but this was really cute. Whether it's a guy or girl, anyone would look adorable with cat ears. =^.^= (that's how child molesters look at children) At first I thought Necoco was a really good kitty and would hurt a fly, then I turned to the next page and he just changed character. Most of those love-necos must be like that right? Innocent and perverted. I have friends like that, I wonder if any would look good in cat ears.

That's the cutest and cheekiest manga I've ever read. Lively characters which are absolutely adorable, beautiful art, a really lovely story and many sexy, cheeky and pretty naughty scenes. I just want to squeeze the hell out of them! Those two sunshines are the maximum of adorableness. :D Too bad it's a one-shot because I'd follow those characters everywhere. They abolutely grow dear to your heart. Kazuhiko Mishima, now I'm your fan! You're amazing! I'm starving for more of your fascinating work.
