Quite interesting manga because the protagonist is an anti-hero. He doesn't seem to have heroic powers except for his ideals. I also like how he is often displayed as a female character. The manga started slow but its pace is getting more interesting from chapter 8 and on. The complex concept is handled easy in this manga so it doesn't get too complex for the reader. oh and you can definitely see that the mangaka has been an assistant of Ookubo Astushi. It has that soul eater art vibe :)

Tripeace follows a boy named Nana who wakes up one day with amnesia (not really a new idea but, hey, not a bad one). He's basically forgotten everything that isn't necessary to sustain life for himself. He soon meets some young kids who want to get Seisui, a liquid that can heal any injury or illness, for their younger sister who was injured when the small country they live in was attacked by a large neighboring country. I'll stop here to avoid much more spoilers even though most sites already do that, but basically things happen, Nana crossdresses disturbingly well, and he eventually joins thegroup known as Tripeace which is trying to rid the world of war through 1) love 2) peace, and 3) whatever you want to go with as your last one.

The art is very interesting and gets better as it goes along and the fight scenes get more intense. Just as a warning it gets fairly bloody later on though it's not the bloodiest manga of it's kind.

This manga has a pretty large character cast led by Nana and Shiro. Shiro is a great female lead who is a tsundere who shows much more of the "beating up Nana" than feeling compassionate towards him. Other good characters are Belial, the really big and powerful guy who is like Lee from Naruto when he gets unleashed, and Shitori, a smaller girl who uses chains and any other weapons she can store in her seemingly infinite-space clothes. The minor characters and few villains that have been shown so far are also great and have pasts that interconnect with each other (one villain in particular has a great story with Shiro).

I really like Tripeace. It's only main fault is the ending which seems a little rushed despite not being that bad. There's just too much added into the last few chapters. Other than that, it's a great story of trying to save the world through peace filled with amnesia, great backstories, and crossdressing.

TL:DR Fun concept, good execution. Meh characters. Complete story with a weird second arc that feels tacked on and rushed. Lots of crossdressing. Not as deep as i thought it would be considering the choice of topic. Story: 7/10 I quite enjoyed the First arc of the story. Solid pacing. The start was slow but excellently introduces the motivations of the protagonists and the support cast. I like the development of Nana as he tries to become capable enough to end wars. Sort of philosophical about the nature of war but the manga only explores the idea very shallowly. The second arc however, comes after what feels like theend of the story, with completely new antagonists and characters. It feels like a sequel but really rushed. It feels like the start to a good sequel but theres simply no room to breathe. It felt like the manga was suddenly cancelled with how much progression was compressed into a few chapters.

Art: 6/10

Fine. There are some cool character designs. Neat combat scenes, though they can be hard to follow.

Characters: 5/10

It was interesting to see the different ideals of tripeace members (embodies in their third law of mediation) but there really wasn't much to talk about in terms of personality.

Overall: 6/10

I enjoyed it, a fun read even despite the rushed second arc. I feel like it could have just ended at the first arc but still a fun read. Conditional recommend if you just want a fun read

Good

• A very fun read

Bad

• Out of place fan service

Extra Subjective

• Can't tell if the cross-dressing is fetishy or comedic

• Really long chapters, one was 90 pages!
