Literally the best Manga ever created. If you don't read this you'll probably go to hell. Art - 10/10 Incapsulates the complicated feelings of both Nick and Lever in their day to day life Story - 11/10 I dont think I can even describe how good the plot of this manga is. It transcends comedy and becomes something entirely new. If you want to find out then try it yourself Characters - 10/10 Nick and Lever are two of the most relateable and down to earth Manga characters I've ever seen put on paper. You feel their sadness, happiness and other complex emotions that they experience, along withthem.

In conclusion, read this Manga. It's amazing

If I ever have a son, I'd want 'Nick & Lever' to be his babysitters. Worst case scenario, I'd like them to give him a weekly session of their infinite wisdom and visionary life outlook. By the time he becomes an adult, my son would've either become a human being who's reached galaxy-levels of masculinity...or he'd have electrocuted himself with a toaster at the age of 10 (while his spirit still haunts the mortal realm much like Nick and Lever do in some chapters). 'Nick & Lever' is a breath of fresh manga air. Its comedy goes from skits a-la Looney Tunes to deadpan comedy to themangaka meta-playing and 4-walling the fuck out of readers. The switches between these approaches ensure the skits stay fresh and entertaining.

What would playing Rock-Paper-Scissors with a crab feel like?

How would a plastic bag of instant gyuudon thrown in a rice cooker fare? Is it better to actually heat it under the hood of an old kei car shitbox - with a ripped-off roof because you wanted to make it a cabriolet?

Would a pair of sun glasses dry out quickly after being put in a washing machine?

Life's full of mysterious questions and trials awaiting their resolutions.

Fear not. 'Nick & Lever' has many concise, but mentally, behavioristically, and spiritually profound messages for you to follow through. A true tale of positive masculinity, workplace ethics, and devoted brotherly friendship.

This series knows exactly what it wants to be, and does a perfect job of being that. The series is incredibly funny, and it uses manga as a medium to create bits that can't be done in any other format. My favorite bit is probably when they take a shortcut over the gap between panels to get to work on time. Continuity is also a surprisingly important part of the series. Some bits are promptly discarded, but many others keep coming back and reward you for your attention to detail. The finale is a payoff of things that came before it in a wayI wish many modern shonen authors would seek to emulate.

Nick and Lever doesn't feel like a series that would be made by a master of something, but Miyata Kyougorou shows they know their shit through this series.
