What I expected by the cover and the name: Avarage Hunter/Dungeon story some kind of traveling here and there. What I got: Unique underworld ecosystem , base building, military tactic, cute unhinged characters and brutal epic large scale battles. Story: 9/10 Odyssey is very fitting name to this manga the MC path that leads to greatest depth of the abyss while he found an empty dungeon or the empty dungeon found him? Start to establish himself in the deth of 9th floor and slowly building up himself to top dog on his floor. Characthers: 9/10 MC at first feels your avarage Joe black hair I'm the hero huntertype. Later this will be completly change as story progress. Supporting chars also well written often chaotic DnD bunch rag tag team. Enemy leaders are smart calculative and effective there are no easy wins in the abyss.

Artsyle: 10/10 Little bit weird at first but later become more more iconic Loading screens are love letters to the readers. Little worker fellas are cute dumplings everywhere are they appear. <3

Final verdict: Dungeon Odyssey have some bumps and slower episodes but overall It's well paced story about an unique world with unique characters and lovely artstyle packed with a large amount of mystery.

A bingeable manhua with the right mix of edge and goofiness. At first the story was a bit edgy with how they handled the main character and the dungeon upgrading and constant fear of death, but as the story progresses it shows more and more heartwarming, goofy and genuinely funny scenes. Interaction between the side characters are actually interesting as they all have unique and memorable personalities. The art style fits the tone and vibes of the manhua really well, switching from really well drawn and serious fight scenes to just pure meme fuel reactions from the loveable cast of characters. The MC also never fails tobe cautious and smart in all of his actions and decisions. He gets very emotional at times, sometimes endangering himself and his kingdom, but he never does anything too extreme.

The politics and world building within the manhua is thoroughly explained but it also exercises mystery really well to build suspense and to keep the readers curious. It is overall a really consumable and enjoyable media that doesn't treat the reader like a child.

Dungeon Odyssey is one of the best manga releasing. The art is gorgeous and suits the tone switching from cute chibi for the less intense comedic moments and for when things get serious and there's great action the artist kick it up to 10 and go all out to get you fully into those fights and pivotal moments throughout. (I personally have gone back multiple times to chapters I've already read just to go look at the art because when I read through I don't take the time to properly admire the work as it flows so well I just keep scrolling) Though I understand thatthis genre isn't for everyone if you like darker fantasy , and (not exactly a genre) "town development" type stories where there is a strong main character that raises up an area and develops with a focus on the side characters around them well trying to amass power outside of their own immediate physical ability's this will probably be a 8-9 for you.

The early chapters (1-9ish) start a bit slow but do a great job setting up the world and things that will come up later. The world doesn't feel it revolves around MC and where it does they give a reason for it that doesn't feel like bull crap. The supporting character i.e. enemies and third parties are honestly even more interesting to me at times then MC and his band of followers.

note:Almost all of this is very positive so clearly I really love this manga I actually only wrote this review because when i went and looked at the ones here along with its current rating of 7.38 I was upset because I believed it deserved more than that at least relative to the other things I've seen get 7's on here. It isn't perfect i can acknowledge that but, this manga is leaps and bounds better that 90% of the manga I've seen in terms quality and I just wanted to see that reflected in its rating. If you read this far thank you and have a wonderful day :).

Do me a favor and read this. For those who have not read past the first chapter, Dungeon Odyssey is a pretty unique story, in which Jinwoo takes control of his own dungeon / labyrinth which he must strengthen and fight other dungeons / labyrinths and cooperate with others. This covers most of the story. Dungeon Odyssey is an incredibly complex story compared to what I have read over the past 2 years. The art style is incredibly good, and is the main reason why this story is so good. The art style complements the story's serious, but also lighthearted tone, and pairs excellently withthe fight scenes. Dungeon Odyssey is a fairly quick read, which you could binge in a day or two, but is none the less enjoyable.

I was recommended this Manhwa and at first glance I didn't think I was going to enjoy it based off the artwork. I wasn't the biggest fan and the art at first glance made it seem more like a comic than a story (yes I know its essentially a comic but you get the point). As the story progressed I began to appreciate the art because it allowed the author to bring out the cool parts because they could expand on the art. Besides that I absolutely loved the story and crushed through it super fast. The MC is a 'good' guy but is alsomerciless when it matters. His care for his labyrinth and the relationship between him and the workers felt great and more like a leader and his minions as it should be. We get to learn some background and the story just keeps getting more complex as you read.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this read and think most people would too

Score 9/10

Side Note: The Naga workers have by far the funniest art I've seen of background characters

This is by far my favorite story in recent memory, the amount of charm, world building, personality and character growth in this manhwa is praise-worthy and unlike anything i've seen before in its category, this is for sure a must read. On first glance, this manhwa seems super generic and cliche, which i suppose in terms of pure concept and scenario, it is.. at least at first. It definitely takes quite a few chapters to hit its stride, but with plenty of action and increasing stakes to keep you entertained in the meanwhile. The MC is has an interesting past (which is explained in moredetail eventually) which separates him from the rest of dungeon babies around him. At first, my impression of him was a bit boring and generic, but when you get to know him, he has a very rational, and understated type of personality, albeit sometimes coming off as apathetic. He is a bit more interesting than the average fantasy or isekai power fantasy MC but nothing too crazy, and there are reasons for his personality being like that, but you'll have to read to find out why.

Lets briefly talk about the art style, I personally love it, it's a bit blocky, simple, and unrefined, but it really stands out from the sea of polished art out there, it adds so much charm to each character, especially how the artist draws expressions and the goofy little workers and side-characters. It could be divisive, but I much prefer the art style for this half serious, half goofy atmosphere the manhwa has, i mean there are some peak panels in this, like when the MC holds up a particularly chubby naga worker, it's just hilarious.

Speaking of side characters, i've always been a sucker for stories with great subordinates and side-characters, that addition alone, when done right, adds so much depth to the immediate surroundings of the MC, and honestly this could be a master class on this. I absolutely love the little naga workers and the horned rats, despite how unhinged they may become later.. it may start very slow, but eventually the dungeon becomes its own little self sufficient city of cute characters with lots of personality and even some great character development in later chapters. (153 is most current as of writing this.). I would even say that I prefer the workers over some of his actual subordinates, but their interactions feel super realistic and fun with how they react to eachother and things happening around them, and you can see how they improve as the manhwa progresses.

Finally i just wanted to touch on the setting itself and some of its lore being as non-spoiler as possible. I for one absolutely hate the dungeon trope in pretty much all of the fantasy manga and manhwa I read. I don't know why, but it always just kind of bored me, but this one? It's deep.. it has layers (literally), and the deeper you go, the more interesting it gets. This is probably more due to the characters involved on each of the lower floors. (Big baddies, literally eldritch abominations when you get deep enough.) The monsters that deep aren't just your run of the mill end-game boss level monsters, they're frighteningly intelligent and absurdly powerful, they practically have their own kingdoms to themselves, some are cool looking, some are grotesque, all with considerable lore relevant to the MC. Basically, the deeper you go the more you want to keep reading about it because it's hard to wrap your head around their sheer scale and power at first.

Anyway I'll leave it there, this is my first review and i'm writing it procrastinating going to sleep, so the quality probably reflects that, but I really love this story and I hope you do as well, and i can't wait for more chapters.

When I started reading this story, I was hooked by the maze creation system, which is like the Warcraft system (or Starcraft, since the creator includes that and many other references to video games in some of the details xd). Developing your base with a unique race, organizing, leading, conquering—it's the kind of story I've always wanted to read. As the chapters progressed, I discovered every detail that makes this work so great. The story ranges from comedy to drama, sometimes entertaining and fun, and at other times I even feel like I'm reading L.A.G. (highly recommended if you like depression xd). It's full of action, not limited to hand-to-hand combat where the protagonist faces the enemy of the moment (which does happen and is super epic), but also tackling strategic and bloody wars where hundreds die, and they make sure you know it with artwork that at first glance may look a bit cartoonish, but scales up to a very detailed and bloody level.

I loved reading it from start to finish. It was a rollercoaster of emotions. I was on the edge of my seat during many battles and grew very fond of a lot of the characters. It's currently in its third season (after a six-month hiatus between seasons) and is by far the most brutal thing it has to offer. It pains me that there aren't more chapters, but I'll be very happy to reread and enjoy this story as many times as it takes to reach its conclusion.

Not bad. Pretty solid tbh. It has an interesting idea about how the character develops that is similar to Solo Leveling, which is a style I really like. It has a cool main character, but the side characters are forgettable. The leveling system for the character and for the labyrinth is the highlight of the series as it is really cool to see his kingdom progress. It has good art as well and pretty solid pacing. Overall, not horrible but it isnt a masterpiece or anything. It does have good potential though and I would give it a shot if you want an easy read.
