Reviews for The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor

I love this manhwa and can't be happier that I came across it a few days ago. It has two artstyles it seems but I love them both... The mannerisms of the characters are funny and I think out of all the manhwas I read, this is the one with the least unlikeable characters. Sometimes it jumps of and follow friends of the MC for a chapter or two... normally I don't like it when that happens but in this I don't mind as I like the characters which it follows. They're funny... I'm one of them there grinders in MMOs so I actually likethat it covers all the professions and stuff in the manhwa. I find it exciting... I kind of wish there was a mmo like this in the gaming world with no max level and where you kept finding new professions (like there's not a roof on how many professions you can learn). I wouldn't mind getting isekaied into this world tbh... This world has the least toxic players out of all manhwas ever...

Can't wait to read next chapter.... and the ones after that....

Bland. MID. Story, Characters, Art. Story: 3/10 The usual VRMMO-type story but so unbelievably mid that it becomes a torture to read through because of the repetitive story. Art: 4/10 The art keeps changing every season. If you pick it up for the first time, you'll notice the excellent shading and general art quality. It's good enough that you can overlook the story's shortcomings. Seasons 2 and up are simply not worth your time. The character designs become extremely generic, and it's strange how a normal-looking person (the protagonist) suddenly transforms into the most beautiful guy on the block. Worse, once you've gotten acclimated to this image inS2, they CHANGE IT AGAIN IN S3.

The incredibly average story along with the changes in art made me hate this manhwa to which I dropped it.

They only have to be interesting. The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor's protagonist, is sadly not that. I do not recommend this manhwa. There are far better manhwas with a similar premise. ▶Story: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you lower yourself to reading this manhwa, I implore you to pay attention to the videogame knowledge of the author, or the lack of it.The MMO that the protagonist starts playing has been out for at least 7 years. It will be obvious to anyone who has played MMOs or even games in general that the entire story falls apart because of this. The entire premise is built around the protagonist discovering special and never before seen events due to his general videogame knowledge, persistence and inquisitive nature.

Which means we as the reader are meant to believe that before the main character showed up, there has never been any players before who are persistent, or inquisitive or gamers.

Even as a power fantasy, it falls short. Overgeared which took inspiration from The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor is a better execution of a similar premise.

The only strong character trait of the protagonist is that he is greedy and persistent. Due to the lack of strong traits, his less obvious negative traits stand out so much more.

Arrogant, willing to exploit and manipulate kind people to his advantage and sexist. Which I am going to assume, due to the nature of this genre (characters are often self inserts); is not just the protagonist's trait, but the author's character trait as well.
