Kino Hime is a 15 year old girl who is a student in the Seiyuu (Voice acting) Department in Hiiragi Academy. The only problem is is that her voice isn't really suitable for those adorable girls in anime and her classmate, Kudou Senri, thinks so too. Now Hime's goal is to become a top grade seiyuu and prove herself to the school and to Senri. ___________________________________________________________ (Um...Im not very good at writing reviews, but I'll try!) I actually enjoy this manga. I love the plot and the comedy is hilarious. To me, Senri and Hime are similar to Hikari and Kei from Special A, plus the author createdboth Special A and Seiyuu Ka.The characters in the manga are very interesting, the guys are good looking too, and I just love the artwork. If you're a fan of Special A, then I'm pretty sure you'll like this one.

This was an INCREDIBLE manga. I started reading this to procrastinate homework about...oh, less than twenty four hours ago. And when I first started, I was not overly impressed. The art was a bit rough, kind of confusing, and in some ways just poorly/sloppily executed. But for whatever reason, I committed myself. And then it just got better and better! Characters that seemed so hollow at first, so poorly developed, began to gain in momentum. Her comical reactions to constructive criticism went from laughably unrealistic to just flat out admirable. It was absurdly inspiring to me! My FAVORITE aspect of the manga was the main loveinterest. I have never seen such a brilliant backstory for such a cold personality; this mangaka did not rush it. It comprised several chapters, and it was heart wrenching and totally relatable. And he was COMPLETELY humanized, COMPLETELY! It was insane.

It's a manga about discovering yourself and hard work. And it's about making service to others; everyone became happier as they stopped fearing failure and reached out towards their dreams and others.

The characters were all very interesting. Even though they were clumsily conveyed, as the mangaka improved, you truly like all of them. Such interesting personalities! Some of them never truly see the light of day (what's-his-face-womanizer from the original group of four "dropouts"), but others, like Mizuki, transform into the most amazing yet unconventional characters.

I mean, for a third member in a love triangle, Mizuki was just different and unashamed of it. He's a black haired guy with glasses who acts NOTHING like black-haired-glasses-guys (think Ouran High). He was soft and gentle and TOTALLY and delightfully unrelatable in the beginning, like a cherubic small child yet tall and good looking and incredibly talented.

I loved the hard work that the main character puts in. It's a fantastic representation of reaching a crazy goal like her's.

I even loved the ending! Somehow I was not let down and left feeling that it ended to abruptly. There wasn't much of anything left unaddressed. Honestly, though, I could have kept reading it forever. Normally it's such a drag for me to read. But since I didn't move once for five hours when I found it, it's safe to say I was captivated.

Story:

The plot never dragged for me. It was all delightful, and the chapters were never very long. I constantly wanted to move t the next chapter.

Art:

It wasn't OVERLY pervy (although it favored short skirts). But I never saw awkwardly busty women to make our a-cup main character feel awful, so I approve! And it was certainly rough in the beginning, but I give it a nine for the beauty and grace it achieves by the end. You simply have to stick with it.

Character:

You know, I'm not totally sure how the main character changes (mostly she just falls in love and improves in her skills and knowledge). But Senri's transformation was INCREDIBLE and very realistic. For Senri and Mizuki, I WOULD give a ten. But there are randomly underdeveloped characters, like her sister and other "friends". There are other minds that I wish I'd been able to have a peek into, but it was such flawless story telling that I am NOT complaining.

Enjoyment:

It's obvious I adored this manga. Some parts are just laugh out loud (although I've certainly read funnier; I laughed only once every few chapters, really) and some are squeal-worthy. Some parts are just adorable yet sad; this main character doesn't hold with self pity. But she gets in at least one good cry that you REALLY feel like she deserves and really adds more dimension to her relationship to Senri...but I digress. It was fantastic.

Overall:

A ten. Oh, man. I am SO GLAD I got over my judgemental side and stuck with it to see it transform into a story that I will treasure forever. It's not perfect, but the themes, characters, plot, and romance are all wonderful. It's probably now one of my all time favorite mangas.

I thoroughly enjoyed this manga. Although at times I was afraid it would turn into a reverse harem-esc manga, it did not disappoint me in the end. I actually found this through Special A (since it is the same author), and was happily surprised to see such a cute change in the author's style. Other than the style, the story was quite entertaining and made me smile a lot. The characters are very colorful too, each are very easy to distinguish. My only complaint was the slow pace of the romance.

I'm going to try my best not to post spoilers for this review. Seiyuu Ka! as mentioned in the synopsis is about our heroine Kino Hime who wishes to become a famous seiyuu due to the influence of her idol Aoyama Sakura. Like any other bishoujo mangas, this one had the gender-bender category, so it was a tiny bit different from the usual. Moving along: 1. Story - the plot wasn't very catchy enough for me. For me it felt like the same old manga where girls who has no talent/skills wants to enter the showbiz world and stumbles upon really hot guys, etc... But alongthe middle parts of this story, it had a good progress. I could actually read the character development of the heroine (kinda like skip beat's Kyoko) but all of the sudden... rush ending and loop holes.

2. Art - Lovely but the heroine's hairstyle of twin braids wasn't what I always enjoyed about. She looked really lovely when her hair was down or on a ponytail but I dunno... something about her hair in a braids didn't appeal to me. I personally prefer it up. As for the other characters (the reverse harem, mind you) as expected of them to be drawn hot and oozing with male testosterone.

3. Character - was focused mainly on the heroine. True, it was supposed to be her story, but it could have gone longer with her relationship with the other characters. Her relationship with her friends, her mother, her idol, etc... it had so much potential but it was all too sudden. Not just the heroine but the leading guy too (I forget his name. Senri?).

4. Enjoyment - I enjoyed the first few chapters but all in all, I have to say I'll give it a 6.

5. Overall - if you have spare time, you can check this manga out. I basically had time to spare and it seems this manga was already completed so I decided to give it a shot. It's an okay manga (for me).

My friend recommended me this manga, and when i started reading the first 10 chapters or so i got hooked right into it! I just love manga that have a realistic and inspiring storyline like Seiyuu-ka!. Since such good storyline is hard to find and to read. The characters are enjoyable and full of emotions making each one unique! The artwork is creative and express the characters well. Especially when it illustrate Hime's smile. This manga wouldn't let me stop reading. Every time i finnish one chapter it makes me want to read more even though i read a lot already. I recommend this manga topeople who love to be inspired and have a dream they want to pursue like the main characters; because Hime optimistic and cheerful personality will bring a smile to your face and keep you dreaming!

Seiyuu ka! was a really fun read. It's a shoujo manga whose main focus isn't romance, so if you like your romance and dokidoki moments perhaps this isn't the series for you. The show revolves around main characters Hime and Senri (mostly Hime), and Hime's path to becoming a seiyuu despite her bad voice acting. I grew to like these two characters very much, and they never acted in a way that annoyed me, so I had a lot of fun watching them. The romance between the two of them isn't focused much on at all, so if you want a satisfying dokidoki romance you mightnot get it.

However, the relationship between the two main characters is really the highlight of the series for me. Their friendship which hints at something more is really cute to watch. Hime's path to fulfilling her dream and how she and Senri interact with each other - friends but not really friends - is enjoyable to watch.

You get Hime every chapter, but Senri only in small doses that increase as the series progresses. That doesn't mean the earlier chapters are boring though, if you enjoy watching Hime and her struggles for her dream. In fact, getting more and more Senri as the series progresses went well for me, as their relationship grew better over time in a way that didn't seem forced.

I think one thing the series could have done better was the side characters. The side characters aren't bad, but could be utilized better. They get focus now and then, and there's some sort of backstory for half of the side characters, but after that it never gets mentioned again. It feels pointless to add depth to the characters but ignore the characters later on. I think some of this could be omitted since it wouldn't even affect the story in the least. The good thing is that the backstories don't get that much focus as well, so it's over quickly and feels like just a short story to me, and aren't unbearable to read.

Lastly, the "love rival". I hesitate to call him that as it never really felt that way to me. He never competed with the other guy for her love. It just felt like he was a good senpai that happened to love the main character (and everyone reading knows this love will not bear fruit). I think there was more time spent on his love for the MC compared to the real male protagonist's love for the MC. He was however not a useless character, as he played a huge part in helping the MC become what she was. For that I think he was a decent character, even if his past wasn't really important to the story in the least.

So, should you read Seiyuu ka!? I think that depends on whether you're hoping for moments like the main guy saving the main female/pushing her against the wall and confessing, or you simply want to read about characters you can cheer for as they go about trying to achieve their dreams, making impactful relationships along the way. My advice is to just give it a few chapters and decide if Hime is worth your time. The setting of this story is pretty fun since it's not the usual high school life.

Word of warning: the ending might feel rushed/unsatisfactory.

Overall I rate it 7/10 because it could have been better (mainly the side characters and rushed ending), but enjoyment wise I feel it's at least a 8 since it fun and feels like there's an actual plot rather than 100 chapters of getting the guy to like the girl.

So I have to say that this plot was interesting and pulled me in at the beginning. I seriously stayed up at night reading it because it was so good and I wanted to find out what happened next or what developed. But a breakdown: Story: I give it an 8. It was interesting. I love the idea of going for your dream and learning to get back up again after failures. The story progressed well. But by the end I felt it was lacking. I felt like the author could have put more into the story line the development of relationships with characters. Likethe end somewhat jumped from this to that. I would have liked to see something a little more.

Art: I liked the art it was pleasing to the eye!

Characters: I give them an 8 because some characters needed more time in it. I thought they would be important. But they hardly were as the story progressed. I also thought there would be somewhat of a change for Hime. But she was basically the same through and through.

Enjoyment: 8 only because the ending left me feeling like there needed to be more. But it kept me up at night and I read it before class! So it was really enjoying for the time.

Overall: 8 like I said there was some things lacking, but overlooking that this manga was pretty great!

Seiyuu Ka! is a fun romantic comedy that has a little something not many shoujo's out there have. It's not a masterpiece by any means but I genuinely enjoyed the experience and found this series hard to put down after the first couple of chapters. One of the major strengths of Seiyuu ka! is the protagonist, Kino Hime. After an incident where she met a voice actor for the popular "Magic Fighter Lovely Blazers" series as a child, Hime aspires to become a voice actor for the same series, and enrolls in a high school that has a department specializing in voice acting. But nothing'seasy as we find out that Hime's voice is more suited to voicing old men than magical girls.

The great thing about Hime, though, is that she doesn't give up. Her hardworking and happy personality made going on this journey with her to achieve her dream all that more enjoyable, and I really found myself loving her character.

Unfortunately, character is also one of the flaws in Seiyuu ka!

Outside of Hime, not too many of the characters get their chance to be developed and explored, and as a result can feel just as 2-D as they look. When characters do get their time in the light, or their back stories explained, consistency seems to be lost as the issues they faced don't often get mentioned again, and can seem like they've simply floated off until an offhanded statement by a character appears to remind you of what happened 10 chapters ago.

The story in Seiyuu ka is also weak, and at times it feels like the manga could have delved deeper. Considering Seiyuu ka is about voice actors, it would have been nice to have seen more on the technical aspects and process of getting a job as a voice actor. Lose of focus and fast pacing can also be an issue.

An example of this is when Hime is working secretly outside of school and improving on her voice acting, and the school she goes to and the people there seem to fade into the background. The friends she has, and her previous struggles at school seem to simply disappear, and you're left wondering if she's still attending her classes or just skipping without much to confirm what's going on. At times you she her back on campus, tired and with her friends slightly worried about her, but the toll of living this sort of double life isn't really explored much, as well as how much she and her friends care for each other.

Certain important reveals also didn't received the buildup they should have, and take a moment to be processed. I found myself completely forgetting that Kudou Senri's mother was the same Sakura Aoyama that Hime admires so much until she was brought up again much later. Shuuma Kawai, who is supposedly glued to Mizuki Haruyama's side, also seems to disappear for a large part of the story, even though Mizuki is seen interacting with Hime and it was earlier made obvious that he dislikes Hime and doesn't want her near Mizuki. The use of certain cliches, such as cross dressing and character archetypes can also be annoying, but are used pretty well.

Being a romantic comedy, however, some of these flaws actually work to Seiyuu ka's advantage. It's fun, fast, and sloppy, but, if Seiyuu ka is has one thing, it's a charm that leaves you wanting more.

Hime is a heroine with a seemingly impossible goal: become a super star seiyuu (voice actor) even though she has the most "uncute" voice ever, enough to sound like a boy. Or is that her strength? She doesn't know. All she does know is that she has a tough road ahead of her and she's surrounded by much more talented people. But she soon learns that being talented does not a perfect human being make.....along with some pretty other valuable life lessons.... Now THIS is how you write good shoujo manga. It's fluffy and cute. There is drama...but it's not like "hey, this can be solved ifwe just TALK", no, it is more complicated than that....also, the said drama doesn't revolve around romance all that much either but rather between parents and children, the expectations both put on each other, and the brutal world of show biz.

Story: 8

I feel it's quite refreshing and not so typical.

This is the first shoujo manga I've read that focuses almost entirely on just voice acting (or other things related to the anime industry) and I'm really a sucker for stuff like this. Whether it's been done before or not, I don't know....nor do I really care because it's done pretty well here.

So why the 8? Well, the first few volumes start off a little slow, then it really picks up mid-series, (Senri's backstory is hands-down, the best arc) and had it gone for 13 volumes instead of 12, it could have finished REALLY strongly. But the ending.....I am disappoint. It feels rushed...like Minami was forced to hurry up and close it off with a time skip. I am NEVER a fan of that....dammit, I wanted to see what happened in between!

Still.....

it's good.

Art: 7

The art is....a bit off sometimes. Minami definitely needs to work on her proportions because sometimes heads look WAY too tiny and the limbs can look too long. Think XXXholic anime but not NEARLY as bad. XD While it's a little distracting, the most important stuff (to me anyway) is how the faces and expressions are drawn and yes, THOSE are good. The girls? They're cute. The boys? They are H-O-T ♥ Though sometimes Senri and Mizuki look very similar so that can get a little confusing. But a lot of manga-ka have that problem so I can't beat up Minami too much.

Characters: 10

This is the most important thing for me to get attached to manga and Minami totally delivers. Their development is wonderful. I was always rooting for Hime and squealing over Senri. I was always sympathizing with Hime and with Senri (dear God, SENRI THO ♥) And I was always being angry with their SHITTY MOTHERS....WHO MAKE ME SO ANGRY.....AJF;LDJF;LJF;LDJF;LADJF.

Yeah, both of their mothers are horrible. I won't go into it much because SPOILERS. Hime's mom pissed me off the most. She really treats her daughter like crap and the infuriating part is Hime never talks back to her or tells her she's wrong for saying such awful things. A mother is supposed to love her child UNCONDITIONALLY no matter what. This bitch follows no such rule and Hime never even did ANYTHING that awful to deserve such abuse in the first place! Fortunately she doesn't get much "page time" (like screentime, get it? haha) so I didn't spend the whole manga being angry at her.

Other characters (aside from Mizuki, whom I personally didn't like and Yamada whom I did) kinda get shoved aside to background ones once the plot tying Hime, Senri, and Sakura together thickens....but this feels pretty natural for the story. Others may find it odd....but it was necessary. And they do get their own backstories and develop a little bit too before Minami gets them out of the way.

Enjoyment: 9

Not a complete 10 because the ending did disappoint me a bit. But I would immediately read this again. I squealed and exclaimed a lot. It made me happy, it made me sad, it pissed me off, it excited me, it touched me; it did pretty much everything a good fictional work is supposed to do and I absolutely recommend it as a "good fictional work".

So the manga Seiyuu-Ka! starts off with our main character, Kino Hime and her obsessive dream to become a world-class Seiyuu after a run in with her idol (Aoyama Sakura) as a small child. Her only problem is, she's utterly hopeless at any attempt of voice acting. She then enrolled in Hiiragi Academy which is where we meet the main male of the story, Kudo Senri; the antisocial tsundere. There are also the two already-successful upperclassmen idols, Hime's mysteriously-driven manager, and the random people she meets along the way. But more to the point of the story; although this is marked as a 'romantic comedy', the lackof any romance at all annoys me.

Sure, they constantly hint at possible relationships and the topic is brought up a few times but there is almost NO romance other than the usual High School crushes and awkward interactions.

The overall art for this manga was really great, but every main male character seemed to have an issue with their only defining feature being their hairstyle. Being a shoujo manga, their clothes were overly accessorised, and the smallest of things had more detail than necessary.

Throughout the short and rushed story, other than Hime, there was little to no character development. I understand that it's supposed to be her story and everything, but many of the characters were simply thrown aside and given a small frame of their happy ending at the end of the manga.

The worst part for me though, was definitely the ending. It felt very abrupt, and as though the manga was cut off a lot shorter than the mangaka had originally intended. Without giving the whole thing away, let me just say it was pretty anti-climatic, and felt as though they tried very hard to squish it into a box and wrap it up with a pretty 'happy ending' bow.

Overall, the manga was very cute and I did enjoy it, it's just that there's so much more that could've been done, and with how abruptly it ended I just couldn't give it the 10 I wish I could.

It is my first time writing a review but i enjoyed this manga so much that i decided to go for it Well i actually stumbles across seiyuu kaa while searching for minami maki's other work. I was already a great fan due to Special A who is already a great favourite of mine. The story was great. There was some place where it was clicheed but it was quite different too. It was light and really enjoyable. There was time when i was going all kyaa and there was time when i was banging my head in frustration or hiding my face with embarrassment The art wasgreat and regular. The guy's smile's and hime when her hair was down was really beautiful

The character's could have been more developped specially hime's friend. It was like they had one or two chapters only on their past and then we almost didn't see them in the rest of the series. Then i also didnt understand sakura's character too much. She IS a bad mother and yet they seem to downplay it in the manga and for me this caused a big empty hole in the manga. But i really liked the way hime/shiro matures and becomes more experience and also how senri opens up to others. (sort of like a wild cat!)

Overall it is a great manga which i finished in barely one day because i just couldn't put it down! Moreover i loved the ending which did not seem rushed at all and which didn't left me feeling empty like some other manga

Seiyuu Ka! by Minami Maki I am not really a fan of the gender bender category but I must say this manga was done really well. Although when I was reading for the first time, I did not find it interesting probably because of the lead female character--in my opinion, she was trying too hard--but later as you go along with the lead female character, Kino Hime, I came to love her. The mangaka did a job well done in expressing both Hime's character and Shiro separately. Almost as if it was originally two different characters. The manga is considered a shoujo but in my opinion, there wasa lack of romance in the manga itself. Though this does not, damper the whole manga. I think what appeals this manga the most was the journey of Kino Hime's dream in becoming a top-notch seiyuu--through the ups and downs--which is something that the readers can relate.

There were also a lot of humor inserted here and there at the beginning part of the manga. I really enjoyed laughing my heart out at those moments the most!

But in the end, I think the ending was a bit rushed, if only they would elongated that particular final chapter, it would have had a good ending enjoyed by everyone and not just me. I was rather disappointed by just that.

Overall, this manga is worth the read.

Seiyuu Ka-! is a manga based on a girl names Kino Hime she is 15 years old and whos dreams is to become a first class seiyuu(voice actors) to become a "Lovely Blazer" her only problem is that she has a very "special" voice (hehehe) and that her mother is really cold towards her to the point of calling her "useless child" ..... now you might be thinking that this is a gloomy Heroin that need her prince to save her all the time, right? but that is not the case our Heroin Hime-san is a cheerful ,hardworking girl who takes all the negative and positive criticism and turnsthem into useful information for self improvement and a step closer to reaching her goal

there are indeed people who help her but,in a moderate way

and she doesn't run to the first guy to help her she overcomes her own troubles and at times she evens gives hope to those around her ..

Romance:there is a little romance,but......

well the story doesn't really center on the romance of the Heroin but on the way she starts to become a seiyuu

Comedy:the comedy is awesome!

i recommend you to watch it in a place where you can laugh all you want with out bothering others ^^

the comedy is really funny(well what comedy isn't?)

Art: the art couldn't be any better ,to me the art of this manga is really "perfect" the detailed background ans well as the smallest detail you will be able to see it ...the characters never look ugly.

you might say what do you mean?

well you know sometimes your reading a manga and suddenly a drawing or two look like aliens...(i wonder if you know what i mean) anyhow this manga doesn't have that every single character in every single page is well and nicely drawn with it's detail and even the smallest of the hairs is there!

Character: most of the characters get their insight on their previous life so you get the chance to really know why they are trying to become seiyuu and you also get the chance to know about their personalities and troubles...

i truly enjoyed this manga because it gives you a warm feeling and it teaches you that if you work hard towards your dream you can actually reach your goal, the comedy also lightness up you mood and it releases your stress and removes your bored dome ^^

overall i think that only you can decided weather you like this or not i really like it and i hope you will too! ^^

Well, after finishing the manga. I must say the ending sucked. I was really hoping for a splended ending. Like, I kept up the with manga ever since it came out. I actually loved the plot and I love love love the art! It was so unique. At least Hime went with the person I wanted her to be with. I enjoyed every chapter until the end. But, I give this manga a "so-so" after reading the ending.

So I finished Voice Over. Its hard to judge this series. Cuz it does so many things wrong I don't even know where to start. First of all there are only 2 characters are i actually liked. BOSS and curses chick. Both were hillarious whenever they showed up but the rest were pretty flat. I liked the main character's issue. She really wanted to be a pretty herione. But she has a rough voice. So she keeps getting casted as a male characters which i thought was a good dynamic, But the author found a way to make it boring. Honestly besides Comedy this entireseries felt like wasted potential. the art was fantastic too. But the side characters kept getting sidelined and there romances never come into fruition. The acting part though there were some moments i enjoyed reading majority fell flat and i feel like the author didn't really know what she/he was doing. The author also spent way too much time on the 2nd male love interest who was obviously not going to win. Lots of sideplots were left open as well. I honestly don't know what the author was thinking.

4/10 Boring as fuck

I personally liked this manga, it was like meant for me. Although I was a little dissatisfied with the ending, the story in itself was really great and enjoyable, it might be a little cliched but there's nothing wrong with that, what's more important is that each chapter ended in a way that makes the reader want to keep reading, never have I ever wanted to drop this manga. The characters were well developed, although I would have liked some more development on some characters or, like, more appearances of those characters. I personally think that the main character, Hime, may be a little dumb and stupidat times, but her talent, strong-will and the way she doesn't give up are quite charming, her personality in itself is what makes her herself, winning the hearts of (many) people (not gonna tell who because it would be spoiler). Her stupidity adds to the manga's comedy, though.

One thing I really liked was that it made me cry, I strongly believe that any manga that's able to move me to tears is worth reading.

What I really loved is the feeling of despair, excitement and pressure this kind of manga provides because of someone pretending to be someone else.

So, if you like a story where a girl strives to fulfill her dream (at all costs), you should definitely read it!

I start reading this manga after searching through Minami Maki sensei's work, and i found that many people said this manga was her best job, so i tried it. So here is my review... Story (7/10) For me the plot is pretty good because i have never read any shoujo manga that talks about being a seiyuu. So it is a quite interesting plot at first. But, for me, the problem here is the feeling that i got when reading this manga and when i finished it. I read it pretty fast at first because it still interesting, but at some point i'm becoming slower and slower.I don't think The problem that is developed in this manga is important or you can say that it is kinda forced maybe? And what is worse is the feeling that i got after finished the series. I feel so unsatisfied after reading this, the ending is rushed and there are a lot of things that is not cleared yet to me. So it is really dissapointing.

Art (7/10)

well, the art also not the best in this manga. But, i kinda like the style. The male face proportion is not right for me (maybe too long), but i love the female face.

Character (7/10)

At first i kinda like the character, especially the ML. He has a tsundere character and it is kinda funny to see everytime he blushing. But, at the end, once again i feel dissapointed (i just think he lost this part of him that is interesting and becoming just a normal boy). for the FL, i don't quite like this type of character since the first time i read shoujo manga. She just too cheerful and trying to act strong all the time. I like it when she act strong, but sometimes it just too much that it makes me sick.

Enjoyment (7/10)

At first i enjoy this manga. But, it becoming les and less interesting that i'm not enjoying it as much as i used to.

Overall (7/10)

I know a lot of people love this manga. but, i just don't get the feeling that i search in this manga. This manga still categorized as good for me and i still recommend it if u don't have shoujo manga anymore to read. And to let you know, although this review contain a lot of bad critique about this manga, i still think this manga is better than many shoujo manga i have ever read and i almost give it an 8 if it not for the rushed ending.

Overall, i liked it especially nearing the end. The last chapter o///o! The first half i was like 'meh' because it seemed as if the characters and plot weren't very developed and the characters appear randomly. Kudou was just off and didn't appear enough. But like Hime/Shiro's acting, the manga improved. I would have liked if the ending showed Kazuma and Kudou meet and I was hoping a display of Ume ending up with Takayanagi but oh well ending is awesome!

Well, I'm into making radio programs and I've even won an international competition for one, so I understand how important a good voice is. That's what this story is about, Hime(the main girl) wants to be the best voice actress ever, but unfortunately she's a mega failure. So you read about how she improves and all the obstacles she must overcome to do so. What kinda annoyed me as I read on, is how she manages to capture the heart of these incredibly handsome men simple by being naive and innocent and optimistic and having a dazzling smile despite her difficult childhood and the problems she's alwaysfacing.

But fortunately, that's not all the story is about. The romance is refreshingly not overbearing, and I love the sub stories and how she interacts with her friends. She's not an instant cliche genius so that's also good.

Other than the fact that she's a happy dense idiot, I loved the manga and I liked her.

If you like skip beat! and shows about people who strive towards the top, I recommend this show.
