Reviews for Love & Hate
Back to MangaYanagida-kun & Mizuno-san is a highschool Hentai, Romance; where the chemistry between the two leads, is what leads it to being formulaic yet fun. The set-up is fairly rudimentary for this kind of manga. Your typical otaku-ish highschool boy, Yanagida, is approached by a cute girl, Mizuno, who just offers to give him a blowjob. So being the healthy teenage boy that he is, he goes along with it, only to find out that she was just using him for "practise" and thus he proceeds to do exactly what you would expect from a guy in a hentai manga. Usually this is where most hentai justclose off, as oneshot, but this manga does a good effort in taking the story further. With each chapter having a particular focus, be it developing their relationship or developing someone else's. Sure it follows the generic "hates him, then loves him" formula, which seems to transcend genres (I see it used a lot in shoujo material), but it handles it well. This is especially true towards the end.
This is attributed to the main character's and the chemistry they have. Sure you can dismiss Yanagida as a maniacal pervert and Mizuno as a f**kin' tsundere (the annoying kind) however their growing dependency towards one another is what made this predictable manga interesting to read. As for the side characters, they all start out as mere plot-devices and fairly annoying plot devices, at that; but that is until the mangaka actually devotes some time to develop them and move on.
Overall Yanagida-kun & Mizuno-san is a sweet, simple yet not so short hentai manga, dealing the kind of relationship I've seen countless times before. The artwork is also nice and simple, with no definite style in character designs or backdrop detail. So it's safe to say that the mangaka was playing it safe, using tried and true formulas and no emphasis on fetishes (except in 2 or 3 chapters). It's still a good read; just nothing remarkable.
This H manga give you a really nice reading time, it´s the ones that I prefer, a male character that after being focused just on his duties, a day when a "class-friend" asked him a favor it become crazy for she, on the other side we have the female character a totas that don´t give up on deny her feelings to the boy, many thing happen betwent the two of them. until the chap 6 it´s really good I hope the rest of chap "the same"
Yanagida-kun to Mizuno-san is an H-Manga that tells quite a story. Way above the average that you will see in most H-Manga. The art at times leaves a bit to be desired in the earlier chapters, but improves over time. While the Main Cast of characters stay very 1-dimensional them selves. There are a few things mangaka, Sora Torikawa could have done to improve it. This is still a great read. Story - At first the story is a very typical and repetitive and predictable tail that you would expect from a H-manga. Staying committed to finishing this read though you will find a story thatanalyzing it deeper may only be 2-dimensional at best. The focus that Sora had on this main cast of characters really pulls through in the end. Weaving a tail that I think we can all relate to on multiple perspectives, about insecurities, sacrifices and prioritizing the well-being of somebody close to you above even your self. Not forgetting the true meanings of trust or friendship. I think that any H-manga reader will find this story to hit somewhere close to home, whether you like want to admit it or not. - 10
Art - I almost turned away from this manga because i thought the art was so mediocre early on. Manga are all over the place though some are ugly by choice others are just old. Sora turned it around, and in the end the art was a complete 360 from where the series started. This was a good growing experience, and i hope that this will carry on to future works that I intend on giving a look at. The score I'm giving for art is quite high, but let me explain one thing better, many manga now look amazing at the high quality that many expect, many look terrible, many have their animation fit the kind of series they are trying to make. You don't see improvement like this though some of the 1st chapter was included into the last as part of a flash back and it gave a much more clear and clean feel. - 9
Character - So here is where the series suffered, if you connected well with the main characters good. You are going to love the series. The problem is outside of the 2 of them you don't see much else you see only a few other characters that are introduced in the branching story lines. With only 2 volumes there is not a lot of freedom to introduce a ton of characters, but the entire cast was..... to perfectly related. Each character had a perfect place where they were meant to show up and end up. This helped the storyline and made it easy to understand since the story was always running in the same vein. But introducing a greater variety of characters could have given the story a bit more depth. At the end if they had fleshed that out a bit more there was a bit more material there to go off of, but the ending would've lost quite a bit of impact. So what i'm trying to say is, the characters were a good fit for this series and used well, but this is where Sora could have improved the manga the most. - 7
Enjoyment - Yes, I liked this. A lot. I would read it again, I would recommend it. That's all i can say read the above 3 sections to make your own decision if this sounds like a series you would like or not. - 9
Overall - I hope you found this review helpful. I just finished reading the entire thing in one go. It moved me enough to put up this review. I some people were helped by this. Thanks for Reading. Feel free to ask me any questions on my profile or PM. - 9
my first review ever story 8/10 art 9/10 character 8/10 enjoyment 9/10 overall 9/10 despite this being my first hentai manga i really enjoyed it mostly because of the interactions between the two main characters and their relationship was enjoyable to see (at least for me anyway) though i did find the characters to be annoying at times i still liked it and hope to find other good ones to read.
this is my first review ever(so sorry if it's short) like how i just said this is my first review ever this is also my first H-manga ever(which i also just recently got into hentai as well) and to be honest i really enjoy reading it, i like the interaction with the characters and the art is pretty good to nut like i said this is my first H manga so there are probably better manga than this but over all i really enjoy reading it and can't wait to finish and find other H-manga to read.
