Reviews for The Days After the Hero's Return

So what happens when the Isekai-ed hero finishes the job? Well, if he's not dead from being run over by truck-kun, more likely he just goes home. Kikan shita Yuusha no Gojitsudan follows through with this premise and we finally see our OP Gary-Stu boi come back to his world - but wait! All of his skills from the Isekai world have been brought back to his own world!? Now if this premise doesn't take your interest, nothing will because this manga follows this idea to a T. Expect little surprise here, in fact, expect little variation here. And sadly, this makes this manga incrediblygeneric. Not to mention, although there are occasional bouts of intrigue from how ridiculous the situations the MC gets himself into, the story always falls back to power fantasy, where the Gary-Stu fixes things and has his harem cake.

Still, I don't think there's anything inherent offensive here... if you are willing to bite the bullet and read an unchallenging work, it can make for a decent enough time sink.

Now here's the bigger problem ... the thing is this isn't the only reverse Isekai work out there with this concept. There is already a better rendition of this premise.

Isekaigaeri no Yuusha ga Gendai Saikyou! pretty much has the exact same premise without the whole world crossing thing going on (at least where I've read till), and it has characters that are much more amusing due to how self-aware and unrestrained they can be at times. This makes for a more engaging read simply because the story structure and characters are much harder to predict. Also, the fact that it's willing to have fun on its own expense also wins it points.

Isekai'd Hero Returns to Real World offers a unique twist on the typical isekai storyline, following protagonist Yuya's return to the real world after his heroic adventures in a parallel world. The narrative expertly blends elements of fantasy and everyday life, showcasing Yuya's struggles to balance his newfound powers with his ordinary routines. The character development is engaging, with Yuya facing challenges both in his personal relationships and on the battlefield, Although it's sometimes cringeworthy and follows a typical harem with a virgin MC, it perseveres, and the story concludes uniquely, making it one in a million. The art is not as bad as somereviewers claim; while not exceptional, it's still better than many others.

Throwaway manga. You would get more entertainment from reading the dictionary. There's shallow manga, and then there's this trash. Dude saves the world in the first couple pages and then cries because hes homesick. Then he goes home and cries because he's way too powerful. Then he does random stuff and cries some more. This type of manga still surprises me because it proves there is no floor in the isekai genre. If you ever thought "it just can't get any worse," well, here you go. Artwork is about at the level of a Kindergarten class. I want to say this is some kind of"quota" manga to pad pages but it's not even good enough for that.
