Reviews for Rosen Garten Saga
Back to MangaI think even reading this review will take away from the experience you get if you were to read this blind, so I recommend you just stop and go read the first chapter. I hope that's enough to convince you to this series, but if not that's what a review is for. Rosen Garten Saga truly takes everything that makes anime and manga so degenerate and condenses it something absolutely amazing and insane. When I read this, I experience something similar to when I read JoJo. The plot points that drive the story forward are relatively standard, but it’s from the characters and their interaction witheach other that we truly see how insane and ridiculous this manga is. You really can't expect anyone in this series to be normal and just watching each person behave like an absolute degenerate is absolutely beautiful. What takes this manga to the next level is how clean and sharp the action and panels are. Even in panels that only show a single, simple action, the detail in the art provides so much subtle information that showcase the uniqueness of each character. For example, the weapons in this manga look ridiculous, but the artist still applies small details such as how the blade is held to demonstrate how even something that looks so stupid is actually incredibly badass. Everything about this manga is so stupid and epic at the same time and I truly love everything it represents.
What is it people truly fight for? World peace? Love? Fame? To prove their strength? No, people fight for the sake of fucking anything that moves, they fight trying to get hurt because they are massive masochists, they fight because their boss made them form a trap idol group and they want to get their manliness back, they fight because they've been possessed by a ghost that gives them a huge dick and insatiable lust despite being a woman. Sounds fun right? TLDR: Rosen Garten Saga is a battle royale between fetishists where the more you're into some kinky shit the stronger you become, and trustme, it gets REALLY kinky. The art is absolutely gorgeous, it has extremely fluid motion and panels akin to Murata's art for OnePunchMan, and the characters' faces and bodies are very expressive, in multiple ways ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). There's always some batshit insane stuff going on but it just works both as action and as comedy sprinkled with more than just a little horniness.
Coming from a pair of artist and writer making their debut, Rosen Garten Saga is a masterpiece in the making despite not being a genre defining work, compensating in the degenerate side of things. It definitely doesn't shy away from using disturbing topics such as rape, murder, brutality, tons of nudity and so on. So why exactly would you read this despite it being so morbid? It is definitely not for everyone but if you're a degenerate just like me it's a great read.
The main characters start with a goal in mind but it feels more like it is a series of subplots that just happen to be on the way to said goal. It isn't exactly episodic though.
While it uses taboo as a comedic device, it also manages to encapsulate the gruesome nature of it. Despite one of the main characters being a rape crazy maniac which is usually played as a joke, we see the other side of it even in the first chapter in a brutal manner. While the people of this world are used to these gruesome situations to some extent, when things are taken too far even the warriors are disgusted by such happenings. Pretty much every character with more than one panel has been shown to have some fetish, and their horny levels seem to dictate their in-universe strength(this is an action-comedy manga). As such, the characters' fights turn to battles between ideals. What would people truly fight for if not for their fetishes? I shit you not, a character has slain a beast with their own dick and people were like "Man he's so cool I wanna be like him".
Being able to use art for the sake of comedy is something that proves to be tricky for most manga, but not for this one. Be it the expressive faces of the characters or the body language of the characters, Rosen Garten Saga doesn't fail to impress. The character designs are very diverse even if they're just sitting in the background or what are esentially NPCs feel like they have a purpose, making the world feel alive. The action is also very solid when it comes to the art. Panels are used to convey motion better than even plenty of anime while not skimping on small details and quality. Even a single panel can show plenty of movement and impact. The bodies have nice proportions but aren't overly realistic. The shading is very well done and it is very easy to follow everything. While not very different the manga can easily shift between art styles to better differentiate between the moods. When a character gets a very creepy expression you can mark me down as both scared and horny.
Regarding the characters, they're not exactly super fleshed out yet(15 chapters at the time of writing this review) but they're not one-dimensional either. The cast(and fetishes they represent lol) is very diverse so you're bound to find a character you like eventually, although they're all likeable in my opinion despite the lack proper character development, whether you agree with their moral compass or not.
Overall, Rosen Garten Saga is a very enjoyable read which blends incredibly batshit insane action with comedy and all kinds of kinks and it's shaping up to become a certain kind of cult classic. Here's hoping to more works from this duo.
So come forth my friend with your dick in tow and let's go on a ride(puns very much intended)
First and foremost, if you're easily offended and certain topics make you uncomfortable, I recommend you steer clear from this manga. It has many touchy subjects like rape, incest, BDSM, cuckholding/NTR, beastiality gender-bending, traps, shoutas/lolis Etc. Since this manga is a parody, it doesn't take these concepts very seriously. If that's a deal breaker then look elsewhere. Again, this manga is not normie friendly. The first chapter alone should filter out anyone who can't handle it. Rosan Garten Saga is probably the most degenerate manga I've ever read, (putting aside doujins) and I love it. This manga is so goofy and absurd and yet it putspopular battle shounens to shame. The fantastic art combined with the superb paneling, and detailed, yet easy to understand clean choreography gives for some of the best action you're going to get in this medium. Normally I hate reading manga that's not a weekly release, but the illustrator really puts his all into every single page and panel, so it's worth the wait. You have fights where the characters are literally battling with their genitals, and yet... it works. The art goes way harder than it has any business going making for some of the most fun fights I've seen in a while.
Pretty much every character is a giga degenerate, and or sexual deviant... and yet it works since every character will use their own insane style to fight, so their personalities shine through in every fight. Honestly, I don't think there's a single character I don't like. Every one of them is interesting and fun in their own way.
The story in this is pretty wacky, and not particularly deep, but that's to be expected in a parody manga, but the story goes hard when it needs to, and a lot of the characters develop in.. interesting ways. Plus, there are some great setups, and mysteries I'm pretty invested in.
Overall, this manga has been a blast to binge, and if you're a cultured individual I can whole heartily recommend it. If you're on the fence the first 3 chapters will let you know if you should continue or not
I noticed that all the other reviewers seem to be in the specific demographic that this manga aims towards, so I'd like to present my opinion, as a relatively normal manga reader: This manga is peak. Legitimately I think it is Record of Ragnarok but better. The worldbuilding is better and the fights have more variety. The downside is that I can't recommend this manga to anyone. I don't wholeheartedly consider it perfect since it does kind of fall into shounen tropes and I feel the fights could be smarter, but it's still very good, and has a lot of soul. 10/10. Masterpiece.
I don't care what anybody says, this is the GREATEST degenerate comedy manga that ever existed. And I'm not talking about the "Lol, heh. That was funny" kind of comedy manga, but the one that you MUST read when no one is around, so others won't question your sanity when hearing the uncontrollable laughing coming from your room. This even beat The eminence in shadows for me, and I thought that I'll find nothing more turn-off-you-brain-fun than that. Being a soft-core porn manga, you might think that the plot revolves around the "plot" , but that's when Beowulf appears out of nowhere and beats you with his 3sword style.
No, there is an actual plot and the "plot" is seamlessly weaved into this masterpiece. The "plot" is also a crucial part of the plot and if you take away either of them, you are going to be left with nothing. This leads to the point, where a buff sadistic teacher using the masochistic price as a sword and gaining ever increasing power from edging said price, is totally normal and perfectly makes sense, because everything has been steadily built up before this moment. (I know this sounds insane without any context)
The author clearly has a vision for how everything should work out, so you get these nice foreshadowing and well structured plot points, that just feel satisfying.
I love the main duo, even if at first Sieg was a bit too much for me, he quickly became one of my favorite right behind Attila. He has some insane charisma going on literally.
The side characters are also better written than 99% of isekai MC's and you can almost hear them speak through the pages.
And the fight, oh the FIGHT scenes are bangers (in both meanings) and even after 53 chapters of this, it never got old. With a huge cast and powers, you'll never have a dull moment.
If you can get through the initial hurdle, that is the first couple of chapters, and accept this for what it is, you'll have a wonderful time reading this manga, that's certainly guaranteed.
What would happen if Grand Blue-style art of absolutely hilarious reaction faces met total sexual degeneracy and backed it up with ACTUALLY well-researched mythological context? Oh, and all of that went through the blender of non-stop, adrenaline-fueled fun. That's what 'Rosen Garten Saga' looks like to me, and it's way more glorious than I expected it to be. I mean, if you don't dig the idea of King Arthur manifesting as a nanomachine-fueled cutesy trap idol, why even live? Sure, RGS is a good gateway to kinks known or unknown. Sure, RGS can actually educate you a bit on the myth side of the, ahem, story. Especially consideringhow thoughtful the translator's notes on the recent chapters have been.
And sure, it can give you your monthly quota of genitalia in half a chapter.
But beneath this lies an insanely talented duo. The artist's gorgeous style is enhanced by the fact that wackiness put aside, the author KNOWS how to make a suspenseful story work. Attila's schemes spanning across chapters are a very good example of how the plot is kept in check and coherent. Plenty of facets that show how RGS doesn't simply rely on the soup of degeneracy we're all swimming in while reading it.
It actually has plot besides the PLOT.
Highly enjoyable and as depraved of an action-fueled fever dream as a manga can get. 9/10.
I wont recommend it because the sex part even though meant as a joke, is something you can not ignore and it will probably bother you if you hate that stuff Now this is a good manga, its batshit insanity, its whack, but overall the powers are surprisingly not all sex, even though in the first chapter you will encounter a sword which doesnt kill but change gender to women. there are mechs, future tech, magic, idols are a power somehow, there is a whole musical with super powers, the power of friendship is present for some reason. like i said WHACK, and the story isnteven half-bad
But yes there are a lot of uncomfortable things, old men in baby costumes, a 3 sword style that includes a dick (not that uncomfortable as it gives light... dont ask, so you dont actually see it) and a man (now woman) obsessed with being a mother, there is Bdsm but not really, there is rarely outright sex, but there still are a few scenes. (dont confuse it with yakuza, even though it might feel a little similar)
The characters arent even badly written, everyone has a motivation thats understandable, mostly, we dont know much about a certain wizard, the reason they are well written is because yes they are based on things like 1001 nights, german history and japanese mythology, its a mix of everything yet they develop in their own way and are not 1 to 1 copies of the original
Now a little spoiler warning, dont continue reading if you want to see this on your own
alladin's djinn/genie is a woman (how surprising) but rather than granting wishes, its a hyperpowerful AI in essentially the middle ages, it can do a lot of stuff because it also has some minor magical properties. but alladin himself is a bit of a slacker, likes women and such. his boss at some point gets swapped to a woman due to the aforementioned sword, he asks "can i hit bro" cuz he took "if you suddenly became a woman would you let the homies hit" a bit too seriously and so did his boss sinbad, so they destroy a bed and yes this is one of the few sex scenes that are drawn (for like 3 pages) and not implied, but eventually alladin learns to just love sinbad in general and not just his woman form. yes its not the greatest development but due to how unserious the manga is, this was pretty major
sinbad woman version is hot, i agree with alladin
A manga with fine art that is less a legit story and more just... "wacky" situations involving sex, but more the taboo kind that's basically violence. For example, the story starts out with the protag's village prince raping virgins, then the village all gets raped by a rival group (theres a scene that i think is supposed to be played for laughs about an old man apparently peeping on the main character, but its revealed he's getting raped by some man, which is also apparently supposed to be funny). The protag then gets a mystical sword that has the prince's soul in it, and shecan use it to turn men into women, humiliating them, and she becomes overwhelmingly horny and manifests a magical dick, and she then rapes the now women... just because. The story then continues w the journey of the protag who wants to join some sexy women who had a hand in the downfall of their village, and they encounter sexual freaks such as incestual children or a pervert, and other things. The story is basically some generic filler between the sexual content.
I personally dont know how it got made, and its absolutely offensive in every way you could look at it. It sexualizes lgbt people and portrays them as deviant or predatory, women are ok with being raped or take on the role of a lesbian stereotype from a porno, women are drawn in a misogynistic way, and more i could point out, but dont want to. I guess men could get off to it if they dont care? I dont really know how it'd be enjoyable. it seems like mid garbage with endless sexual violence.
9/10 At first glance, Rosen Garten Saga might not be everyone's cup of tea, as it features copious amounts of sexual comedy and degenerate humor. However, if you can stomach the initial shock, the manga rewards you with a hilarious, action-packed, and surprisingly heartwarming journey that keeps you hooked until the last page. As a self-proclaimed manga and anime connoisseur who has read over 300 mangas and watched even more anime, I can confidently say that The Rosen Garten Saga is one of the best mangas I've ever read. Art Style One of the most striking aspects of Rosen Garten Saga is its art style and illustrations, whichare nothing short of fantastic. The characters are beautifully designed, with intricate details, unique costumes, and expressions that perfectly capture their personalities and moods. The action sequences are fluid, dynamic, and easy to follow, making them a joy to read and admire. In fact, the art style of The Rosen Garten Saga is so good that it easily rivals some of the best action mangas out there, such as One Punch Man.
Characters
Another standout feature of Rosen Garten Saga manga online is its characters. As of chapter 29, there are around 30 major, named characters, each with their own distinct personality, backstory, and abilities. What's impressive is that despite the large cast, the author manages to give each character ample screen time and development, making them feel like real people rather than one-dimensional caricatures. Moreover, the chemistry between the characters is excellent, with plenty of funny interactions, banter, and even romantic subplots that add depth and complexity to the story.
Story
Speaking of the story, Rosen Garten Saga's plot is a wild and unpredictable ride that keeps you on your toes at all times. Rosen Garten Saga manga online starts with a journey/adventure arc, where the main characters set out to explore the world and discover their true strengths and weaknesses. Along the way, they encounter all sorts of bizarre creatures, villains, and challenges, leading to some of the funniest and most intense moments in the manga. The story then transitions into a big tournament arc, where the characters compete against each other to prove their worth and win glory and prizes. While the story may not be the strongest aspect of The Rosen Garten Saga, it more than makes up for it with its sheer creativity, humor, and unpredictability.
Conclusion
If you're a fan of manga and anime and are looking for something out of the ordinary, The Rosen Garten Saga manga online is definitely worth checking out. While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, those who appreciate its unique blend of comedy, action, and bizarre characters will find themselves in for a treat. The Rosen Garten Saga manga online is an entertaining and unique read that is sure to leave readers hooked from start to finish. I highly recommend giving the manga a try, at least until chapter 5, as that's when the story starts to pick up and the characters start to shine. Who knows, you might just find yourself joining the ranks of The Rosen Garten Saga's loyal fans and eagerly waiting for the next chapter to drop.
An erotic, comic, and possibly a masterpiece manga. Rosen Garten Saga got it all: Good comedy, a very promising story and concept, and ABSURD art. It's been a long time since I've been so taken in by something, even though I never thought I would be. I didn't think this manga would be for me, but it exceeded all my expectations. So before I continue, I must warn everyone out there: This manga might not be for everyone; it touches on some pretty heavy topics (like rape and brutality), although it's always portrayed in a comedic way and it makes complete sense within the world of themanga.
The art is absolutely gorgeous, one of the best in recent manga (if not the best), and it always looks good, whether it's in fights or any casual moment. I must say there's a lot of detail everywhere, maybe you'll look at the back of a panel and still find something interesting back there, it gives a nice touch. It also has a >lot< of nudity, but it looks natural as you read it, it's not something you look at and think is erotic (I guess?). I have to mention it again, the fight scenes are ABSOLUTELY amazing, I keep going back to read them.
The characters are a real strong point, it's quite funny how degenerate everyone is and how cool (almost) everyone is about it. Each personality is pretty well defined and unique, everyone has some pretty interesting thing about them, which can make you like a character not long after they are introduced. Also, all the characters are a reference to some mythological figures (you can guess from the names... Arthur, Beowulf, Alibaba, etc...) and some of the stuff that happens in the manga are actually related to the tales these characters are based on, which is pretty interesting.
As for the story: It is really captivating. The first chapter starts with a little shock but I still thought it was going to be a random, typical, adventure manga, but it soon took a wild turn to be something else entirely, and it only gets better as the chapters go on, the current potential is huge.
I've mentioned it before but I have to say it again, this manga is FUN, there's comedy all over the place. Maybe my comedy standards are pretty low, but I'm laughing all the time. And mixed in with all that is the erotic stuff, degeneracy everywhere. And this brings me back to what I mentioned at the beginning, this manga will joke about everything, no matter how gruesome or taboo it might be, the "weight is lightened" with a humorous tone; this might be annoying for you if you're sensitive about it, but again, it's all written in a comedic way.
Every time a chapter ends, I'm always looking forward to the next one as I try to discuss what's going to happen next with a friend and it's always a fun surprise; the authors do a good job with the surprise element be it in fights or in general plot. It's always worth it.
So, if you can handle the extreme stuff I mentioned before, you're in for a nice, funny, erotic, degenerate and wild ride. I'm sure you won't regret it and you won't forget it.
This is the peak . Just the absolute best of every aspect . 1 The art is breathtaking. 2 The characters feel alive because every single one of them has a distinct personality and purpose with good backstories. 3 The comedy is peak it will truly make you laugh. 4 The characters are just every tag of kinks come to life. 5 The story is compelling. 6 The action is smooth asf. The story is unique unlike any you have seen before. I think y'all should give this a try for read the 1st chapter fully and if you make out of it youll be hooked .
Incredibly crass and sexual humour to the maximum here. Nothing is off the table. So you're warned. This manga so far is your average battle tournament with a bunch of people fighting for a prize. Goofy powers and action galore. This manga is definitely for people looking for easy to digest entertainment with tons of cliches. If you can easily get invested into paper-thin characters and are just looking for something to keep your eyes busy, this is the manga for you. However, I believe this manga has the single most badass character in history: Beowulf. The man is the definition of hype moments and aura. You'll seewhat I mean if you read it.
I. Love. This. Manga. This will be a short review, but for anyone that can stomach the absurdity of this manga it is genuinely the funniest things I've ever read. To start with the action in this manga is amazing, the characters in this manga are amazing, the art in this manga is amazing, the subplots are amazing, everything about this manga is amazing. This manga probably has better female representation than 99% of manga's out there, as all the support for the characters and the support for each woman being their own individual character is amazing, none of the woman are subject to being adamsel in distress that's only reason to be there is for something for the male gaze to be attracted to. Also, to go back to the art, it's phenomenel. It's arguably some of the best art i've read in a manga that is biweekly and quite frankly it's peak, it's my favorite manga right now.
Characters: The characters are the selling points of this manga, each team for the tournament in this manga has 3 characters that are all interesting (although I think there is 1 character that arguably had a character derailment and had an awful character arc). To start with, Beowulf, the guy from the legend, is amazing, he's funny, his sword is awesome, and I love how he has a mentor role for the younger characters throughout the series, same with the king of bern's mentor who I forgot the name of. Overall the characters are amazing and a great part of the story. Brunhilde has the best character arc I've ever seen, I love how her curse and blessing are revealed, and how we see that she hates it and wants to be free from all of it.
Plot: The main plot of the story I will not spoil as it's revealed in like, literally the first chapter. The only thing I will say is that as it's been developed more in the recent chapters, what bugs me is that some important story beats are only appearing in the side and bonus chapters, instead of being incorporated into the actual main selling point of the manga. Overall 9/10 plot.
I'd like to present my opinion, as a relatively normal manga reader: This manga is trash. Note that this is marketed as a "sex comedy," meaning the majority of events are meant to either turn you on or make you laugh. Unfortunately, the majority of the manga does neither. To say that it is "kinky" is an understatement, as quite a bit of it is plain illegal. Near the beginning of the story, the MC encounters two little girls (siblings) that make out with each other. Note that this isn't some tragic backstory or plot device, this is just played straight in an attempt to make youlaugh (because incest and pedophilia is funny apparently). At least, I'm hoping this was a bad attempt at comedy, because the alternative (little kids kissing are supposed to arouse you) is just demented. The art is actually very good, which makes this even worse, as now you're watching *well-drawn* children make out. Of course, they join the MC's party so the readers can masturbate to them having sex with each other even more.
Let me summarize the prologue and inciting incident of this manga: a random village is invaded and raped by a group of mercenaries (I guess replacing the trope of murdering villagers with raping them is meant to be comedic), and one girl (the protagonist) is able to flee into the woods. In the forest, she finds a sword inhabited by the spirit of the prince, a relentless womanizer. At this point, some mercenaries find her and attack, but she allows the prince to possess her and fight them off. When she regains consciousness, she finds out the sword actually turned the mercenaries into attractive women. She then unconsciously manifests the prince's dick on her crotch, fully erect, and rapes them.
Yeah...
If you found that interesting, don't worry, it gets worse. This manga objectifies women very brazenly. Hell, a large motivation of that prince mentioned earlier is to turn his enemies into women and rape them.
I see people saying that this manga has a fantastic plot (aside from the *plot* we get when the MC sexually assaults women). I disagree. There are tens of characters introduced in as many chapters. Each character has a unique design and personality, aside from being a huge pervert. However, the "personalities" of these characters are just one or two traits. Take Beowulf, for example: he has two traits, being super honorable *and* having a massive dick he fights with. With just that information, you understand his entire character. The same goes for everyone else. If you want a good story that isn't just sex, this is not the manga for you.
The storyline itself is pretty generic: it's another battle royale/tournament manga. The only distinguishing factor is the aforementioned sex comedy.
Overall, I believe this manga is glorified incel bait. The treatment of women and casual rape jokes (as well as the sexualization of animals and *literal children*) will be incredibly off-putting or offensive to most new readers, and the plot only serves as a way to take a break from the gratuitous sex and keep the reader's attention long enough to get to the next character to sexualize. If you value your time, your morals, or your social standing in case anyone sees you viewing this: don't read this manga.
