Well, I just finished this manga and in a way I had a good time, it's like taking the concept of the Bully who is in love with the main character but giving it a twist that she ends up being the embarrassed one, I think it's refreshing. Story: The truth is simple in everything, from the plot itself to the narrative, but it's not heavy, but if I have something bad to say it was the ending, it really felt more like the beginning of an arc than an ending, it was too dry, insipid to be one. Characters: The characters were likable from my pointof view and always respected their own characterization.

Art: I liked the designs, let's move on to the next point.

Entertainment: I watched all the chapters in one day and it wasn't heavy, I really enjoyed it.

Heart warming and wholesome . The art is good especially Himawaka's reactions are shown well . it's Unfortunate that this got axed. When it comes to Doujima(mc) he's always expressionless and straight forward with his feelings but he's not dense andfor Himewaka(FMC) her plans to make Doujima sway always backfire and her reactions are so cute.

it would've been better if they added more interactions with the side characters though.

even though the ending was rushed it was quite an unexpected ending.

overall a decent read nothing serious.

good for a quick break from your daily stuff.

7/10 just for the enjoyment.

(review with some minor spoilers) I read this not expecting much of it, thinking it would be pretty average and that I would probably drop it after a few chapters. Surprisingly, the story picked my interest and I got hooked on how the main characters relationships progressed. STORY: 7 The story is not really that creative. The female lead is your stereotypical girl that likes to tease the MC, but in this case it usually is the girl who ends up embarrased. The plot is really simple and it progresses in a slow but steady pace, furthermore the ending is quite satisfying. ART: 8 The art in this manga isprobably the best point to read it, it's clean and even kinda cute. I specially like how the author uses the fanservice scenes without it being extremely saturated on the progress.

CHARACTER: 7

Although the main couple are pretty cute and are elaborated, the side characters are not very impressive and it feels that they're lacking in personality, almost like they are directly copied from any other rom com manga.

ENJOYMENT: 8

I enjoyed every damn second I was reading this manga. It always gives you a feel of satisfaction and fulfillness as you turn the pages and se the reactions of the female lead.

I highly recommend this manga to any romcom enjoyers. It's pretty short so you should give it a shot if you're bored.

Super cute manga that was unfortunately axed. At time of writing this review, I've read all 31 chapters that are out. I loved the interactions between our two main leads, Himewaka is super cute, and there was actually some development between the two. I feel like the comedy in this manga was actually handled pretty well, and didn't grow to be too tiresome. Maybe due to its short length, or I don't know. I would've also wanted to have a clearer and "more" of romantic development, but... well, you know. The ending was also handled nicely, despite the obvious rush due to the axe.

8/10 cute, short and fun. I'd recommend reading it on a random free evening.

A sweet rom-com that made me giggle and grin on more than a few occasions. There was only one chapter that I didn't really like, the one with the dog, since it doesn't really fit with the wholesome vibes of the rest of the manga. I wish more rom-coms had MLs and FLs similar to Doujima and Himewaka. They're inexperienced, but at least they don't shut down and start stuttering at every little thing, especially Doujima. There's no stalling either, once the leads acknowledged what they felt for each other, they started thinking of ways to confess and didn't drag it on forever. Plus, there areabsolutely no obnoxious side-characters that cause misunderstandings left and right.

tl;dr: This should be the standard for every rom-com out there. Simple, funny, and sweet.

It was a really good romantic comedy story which i think is quite unique on its own because of the domination loss lol. There is a reverse teasing part which i like very much because I'm a boy too xd. But really it was very wholesome and heartwarming. Now lets get to the real review, artwork is good but not excellent, characters are great, supporting characters are somewhat so so but this is what makes it fun because more time is focused on the main characters. Spoilers ** Though I wanted a little more after the confession story, what happens with their love life, howthey become adult, are they still together when they enter university, are they still together in job sector, will they finally marry, I wanted more like a package of their life but didnt get anything like this until now **

If you guys get anything like this please message me. I will be really grateful.

I really wish if it brings a second volume or something like that.

Finally for those who have not read this manga yet, I request you from the core of my heart to give it a try. I assure you will find it to be quite amusing story.

STORY: Story is about a girl named Himekawa who likes to tease her classmate Doujima. I expected a cliche manga where the guy will react in a way most of anime/manga MCs will but I was wrong. Doujima's reactions make every teasing Himekawa does backfire. And that is really funny. ART: The character designs are simple yet really nice. I find Himekawa too well-endowed but well, at least it's good art! CHARACTER: The characters are very likeable. Himekawa's antics are funny and the way Doujima reacts makes him a chad. Also, the friend characters are nice and supportive. The cast isn't very big and it makes the manga easy toread along without worrying who's who again.

ENJOYMENT:

I took a gamble one time and just saw this manga, I was like, why not, it's just around 30 chapters. And I'm glad I did. I enjoyed every chapter.

OVERALL:

Good manga to read. But, from what I can see, it seems rushed towards the end. Idk if it got axed or anything. But nevertheless, I have a feeling the teasing will just continue and the ship will sail only on the last chapters so it's not necessary to have it long. Plus, you can finish it in one sitting!

Great little story, not a great deal of story but a nice little slice of life and romance mixed together. Story 6 There isnt a great deal of story here, apart from the Takagi-san esque building of a romantic relationship through teasing. Art 7 Theres something charming about the art style here. its kind of like oremio. The art is cutsey and does is job well, especially in the reactions department and is good enough to convey lovely moments between the characters.Characters 8

Both the MC's are ace. Himewaka is the good old teasing blonde haired popular girl and has some great reactions and nice little changes in character.

Doujima is probably the most chad MC i have ever seen and turns the tables regularly on Himewakas teasing and bullying, usually embarrassing her in the process. (like a reverse Takagi san)

Enjoyment 9

I'm really enjoying this overall, its given me some good laughs and the characters are endearing.

Overall 8

Perhaps not for everyone, but its every nice and enjoyable ride between two very good characters. i'd definitely keep up with.

tl;dr: A somewhat amusing rom-com about a girl trying to tease her crush but failing. This is one of those manga where a super outgoing girl, in this case Himekawa, teases a more reserved boy, in this case Doujima, who she clearly likes. What makes this manga somewhat different is that the teasing always backfires. Not due to the actions of the male lead, but rather due to how he doesn’t really take any actions at all. Doujima completely brushes off the teasing which generally causes Himekawa to get frustrated and screw up in some way or another, causing her to be the one that endsup feeling embarrassed. It’s a bit of a nice twist on a very common comedic premise. Doujima’s kind of boring, but Himekawa’s screw ups are able to carry the humor pretty well, though they probably wouldn’t be able to if the manga was longer. There are a few reoccurring side characters but no one has enough of a presence to mention in particular.

The romance in this moves much faster than in most manga that seem to have this type of premise, though the manga reaches completion within three volumes so I suppose that was a necessity. How it progresses is incredibly generic, with her originally not knowing her feelings and just teasing, eventually realizing that she’s teasing because she likes him, and then eventually confessing. I didn’t feel it was written all that well though as it really doesn’t flesh out Doujima at all and thus it’s hard to get invested in the relationship. To be honest I felt like the earlier parts when she hadn’t realized her feelings and the manga was solely focused on her failing to tease properly were more interesting compared to the later parts that took her romance more seriously. Still, all in all I was happy with the way things worked out and was satisfied with the ending.

The art in this is decent. There are a few times where it looks especially nice but more the most part it’s just okay. I think the style works well enough for the story, but this isn’t a manga I would read for the art.

One word descriptions would be: average, middle-of-the-road, simple To put it in more words, there isn't a lot unique about this story. For me it serves as something to just read and not care a lot about. The art-style is decent and the chapter to chapter story isn't super detailed or intriguing, but isn't the "simple and precious" type of simple you would wish for out of some other stories like , its just plain simple, the writing is pretty standard and the progression of the couple seems to be pretty safe so far (as of chapter 22). This story is what I would consider boring mainlybecause the male lead, Doujima, is boring. The female MC Himewaka is spunky and witty but Doujima just kinda stands there. If there was more witty back and forth from his pov it would be more enjoyable.

Overall, I enjoy it because it cleans the palette and it keeps my attention, but I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend this to someone. This is something you find and just read because you are bored.

These 31 chapters are the penultimate definition of the average 4/10 romcom. It's arguably too short to really build a lasting investment in the characters, but this also means the mangaka don't have time for most of the regular tropes, liked the locked equipment room, the lost child, the aquarium date, under the teachers desk and so forth. Nothing in this manga is surprising or unexpected. Nothing is tackled in an unexpected way. The characters are cute, well drawn and believeable, but doesn't get much time to shine. This is romcom slob, but sometimes, that is exactly what you need.

Having recently read Kuzumi-kun, a manga that's basically the exact same scenario but longer, Doujima-kun was a standard but entertaining & adorable read for the genre. Unlike the former, both leads show interest whether it's in the art or dialogue and their relationship does evolve relatively quickly, even if it's because the series was cancelled. Despite the teasing, genre tropes and occasional absurdities the two leads bounce off each other in a way that's endearing & entertaining to the end. There are a few chapters early on that are grossly absurd in the name of comedy compared to the rest of the manga (e.g. dog humping, undergarmentflashing) and their appearance was jarring.

The story is heavy on the teasing as Hirawaka instigates but Doujima turns the tables with blunt but charming actions & responses. Doujima and Hirawaka are teasing goofballs with a dramaless relationship that never feels in doubt.

While the early chapters grow the romance, chapter 11 onwards ramps it up to 100 while reducing the teasing by focusing on the deeper connection between the leads, whether it's by unspoken understanding, flashbacks, dialogue or genuinely sweet moments between the two. most notably chapter 11-12(a set-up festival date), 20-21(planned lake visit based on viewed interest) and the remaining chapters.

The manga does have a conclusion despite its cancellation and I personally find that the axing improved the story by speeding up a confession event and removing a lot of the repetitive loops that romance titles have due to length. That being said, Doujima-kun does suffer from rapid pacing as a result of the axing and the loops occur but all of the events feel natural to the characters & aren't excessive, especially the way in which they confess.

Overall Doujima-kun isn't the best manga but it has fun & present characters and is short, sweet & simple with a bearable amount of spinning wheels, that's more than likely due to an early cancellation.
