Ever wanted a Yandere waifu that is also a monster? Well Hachigatsu Kokonoka: Boku wa Kimi ni Kuwareru/ I Will Be Eaten By You has that. Firstly, the story/plot, well... It’s not superb but it does the job of making it an enjoyable read. You’ll be on the edge of your seat wondering if this guy will get laid or killed? I’m still wondering by this point how he’s not dead yet. The story is about a high school boy, Sakurai, he has a secret he cannot tell anyone, he has been plagued by stalkers since he was a child. One day, his classmate, Ueda, suddenly transforms intoa monster, revealed to be one of his stalkers. Miyako, the main Yandere saves him gracefully because unsurprisingly she is also one of Sakurai’s stalkers and also loves him, with all her heart and breast.

Secondly, the art.. Hmm... I quite enjoyed the art, it perfectly expressed Miyako in all her Yandere glory. The art style is unique which makes the story even better. It’s not an eye sore like many other underground manga which is a brilliant positive thing.

Lastly, enjoyment. You’ll love this manga if you like Yandere’s and chaos.This was a fun read and something unique. After all this time I finally found a piece of steel in this hay bale but hopefully it doesn’t rust overtime...

Read this in one go and I thought it was okay. I liked the idea of this manga but I can't personally find much enjoyment for the hour or so I spent reading this. I'll definitely read the next chapters but mainly because I have nothing better to do. Mal says I need to write a longer review so I'll start ranting about something idk. The dark, it's something that people often fear. It's a very common fear caused by not knowing what could be lurking in the dark. However, I M7nus and not afraid of the dark but I find it a bit ofa nuisance. In my house I find myself right before I go to bed turning off all the lights to the house. Since my computer is across the house, this means that I must walk across it in pitch black. To why I hate the dark you can see why. I keep bumping into stuff as I walk down the hallway and it is hella annoying I swear. I wish I had night vision, it'd be so nice in this situation. I am writing this also right before I must do this same action as I do every night. Wish me luck I might stub a toe or two.

I don't get it, this was a good manga and I don't really like yandere type actually, but the girl (heroine) was a good monster (you can call it a ghoul maybe?), she was protecting the MC from other monster Art 9/10 Ofc this manga has really good art, just read it Story 7/10 Maybe some of you didn't know the plot because it's too amusing and crazy Character 7/10 I like the MC and the heroine of course because their development character was goodEnjoyment 8/10

I give this manga 8 because it's crazy sometimes amusing and I don't know if you really know the plot because it's too crazy so maybe you all give this 6 or 4 but this was good so I give this 8/10

This can get 8 at best (if your mood is chillin) Contain spoilers ^_^ : I just added the thing to my favorites cuz i like the girl and her way of showing how much she loves the male dude -even tho she might EAT HIM- not in the sexual way ofcourse (she can but the manga said no hentai ahaahha), then it has suspense?? all i see is monsters disguised as girls trying to eat him... weird enough idk why he don't just quit the whole thing and kill himself lel, it's like A BAD NIGHTMARE you can't wake up from Poor dude... Recommended? you mightfind it readable if anything. story is very limited to 2 things. Survive... and being Saved from the monsters! that's it.

Other times when the larger, voluptuous women chase after the wimpy protagonist, there's no explanation, it's just kinda wish fulfillment but hey this manga actually gave us a reason for it, and it's pretty creative. Sakurai is attracting the attention of several myths, curses, hoaxes, legends, mysteries, yokai, whatever you wanna call it, they all want him and they shift from milf/onee-chan vibes to horrid (but still somewhat sexy) creatures, they all wanna eat protag-kun. The reason is a bit confusing but rather cool and supernatural. However, I think I'm not comprehending everything due to the translation not being the best (or maybe the original materialwants to remain aloof and mysterious).

The reason for confusion is that there are several moments of flashbacks and moments where the protagonist is receiving potentially false memories like they're not his own, and he drifts in and out of sleep, and by the time the narrative is progressing, it's hard to tell how much time has passed. (SPOILERS FOR THE PLOT EXPLAINED HALFWAY THROUGH, WHY THE CREATURES ARE AFTER PROTAG) Part of it is on purpose because it seems a great spirit has suspended time (and the cast of characters) in a bubble universe to force the strongest spirits to kill themselves. And the non-human creatures inside the universe have died and killed time and time again and have gone mad, and therefore seek the way to die... what is it? Sakurai, our protagonist, ate it somehow long ago. He holds a poison to kill immortal beings. Now this is the explanation given to us by external sources to the monsters, each spirit might have their own reasons for wanting to be around/hunt/eat/kill the protag, some protect him even though they know his power.

The art is ridiculously beautiful, there's a balanced blend between glittering beauty and dread-filled creatures, there's several creative takes on urban legend design, and the artists love a double page spread for those creatures. This story has potential but its ever-ballooning cast and explanations become rapid info-dumps with seemingly no end in sight. Though by chapter 35ish, I guess we've seen the main challenge ahead of us, the strongest of the special-grade spirits. There's a power ranking system that reminds me of attack on titan with the mindless minor spirits possessing people and running around getting their asses kicked during the battles by the special grades towering above them. It's fine for an afternoon read and it goes by quickly but there are still enough mysterious to keep us entertained for whenever translators get on that.

well I liked the story so far like how unpredictable things happening in this manga I like horror and Supernatural, Suspense genres so I some how liked this manga but the only think I didn't like is people like the **** teacher I didn't like her personality at all and some of people like her, I know that Miyako is psycho but she is better than all the girls in this series so far, I only read 13 chapters so far but I am some how enjoying to expect the characters like the teacher, The thing I knew till now that Sakurai is like amagnet to the creatures that want to eat him but Miyako protect him when he asked her why she simply said "because she love him" that's why she protect him.
