Reviews for Love After World Domination
Back to MangaThis Manga is cliché as you can get like this is literally boarding school juliet but the characters are power ranger.. The characters are cute and it's funny and enjoyable to read.. Story 5 The story is mediocre like I said it's like boarding school juliet and everything about this Manga is cliché and other romance Manga already did it Art 8 Its good you can understand what the characters are thinking and their expression is easy to understand Characters 8 Its cliché like I said but what makes it good is the characters they are adorable and everyone has a unique personality so you will not get boredof them
Enjoyment 9
I really enjoy it and it's not different from other Manga but it's definitely enjoyable like I didn't realized that I already read all the 16 chapters..
Overall 8
It's not a revolutionary romance Manga and like I said a million times it's cliché and mediocre but the characters are enjoyable and there is no cringe moments it's just adorable, I definitely recommend this when you don't have anything to do, you will not regret it
I've been having an absolute blast reading this manga, it's got everything I need from the right amount of romance progression and comedy interlaced to make it good for the hardcore romanticist and the casual reader. The story so far has been pretty good, progression is moving at a healthy pace and I'm somewhat glad although I do hope that the manga goes on for a decent amount of time, I wouldn't mind filler if they can keep it fresh and funny even explore romances other than the main characters which is something that has already happened, more of that please! The art style iscute and works really well to convey it's jokes, also I like the designs of the characters "I just think they're neat!"
Character progression is really good so far too, everyones unique and that's a big positive!
I have really enjoyed my time reading this manga although there isn't enough out of it yet to be fully obsessed, I would like to do anything I can to support this manga including this review. Once the mangas are sold in English I will buy them!
A RomCom manga that was cut short before it truly gained momentum. This is a romantic comedy about the Red Ranger/Sentai and the villainess lieutenant dating while attempting to keep it secret from everyone around them. Basically you should know exactly what you're getting into after reading that brief summary. It's cute and adorable but it's also very cliché and full of tropes but you'll enjoy it anyways. I know I did. Despite the demographic being 'shounen' and being published in a monthly shounen magazine, this story comes off more like a 'Shoujo' or even 'Otome'. Fudo (the Red Sentai/Male Protagonist) is your standard overly good guy herowho leans towards muscle for brains and falls for Desumi (the villain lieutenant/female protagonist). Desumi on the other hand is an abnormally strong, cutesy girl who is only a villain because it's a family-tradition job and treats it like it's just something her parents' want for her and she doesn't want to disappoint them.
You get a nice idea about Fudo's teammates personalities but they actually don't get much screen time in the manga compared to Desumi's villain coworkers. Whereas Desumi's coworkers and friends actually get much more screen time and development and they're all very enjoyable and funny.
The art is very clean and simple with surprising amounts of detail but there are a few times when it feels a little messy, if that makes sense.
Sadly this manga was told to wrap up its story as it was getting axed due to the manga not getting enough attention despite having an anime adaptation. So it at least had an ending, albeit rushed, at the cost of all the potential shenanigans and fun to be had with all its characters.
You can still read it for the lighthearted cutesy fun, just know that you'll probably feel like it never reached its peak by the time you finish reading.
TL:DR Cute but shallow. It feels like the romance equivalent of junk food, good if you want something low-stakes and wholesome but I prefer something with a bit more substance Story: 5/10 Interestingly, this manga has both MCs together right from the very beginning. They're both dating so, rather than the 'chase', we're primarily seeing their relationship deepen and grow. I like this setup. Fairly cliche situations but sometimes shaken up by the main characters being supposed mortal enemies and trying to date under their respective organisation's nose's. This leads to fun situations and good situation comedy. It's a short manga that's tightly focused on the main couple but thiscan also mean it's shallow.
Low-stakes, minimal drama and a straightforward romcom. Some thing wholesome to clear the mind perhaps? Maybe that's your cup of tea but it feel like the literary equivalent of junk food. What does this do for me that looking at cute cat pictures wouldn't?
Two romantic rivals, for the male MC who was already dating from the start and they're resolved in a single chapter each as well. Seriously, why? This feels even more useless than when romance manga normally try and force a tension with a rival.
As mentioned previously, the manga quite short and it shows. Any drama is swiftly resolved in a single chapter, side characters get very little ‘screen time’ etc.
Also leaving a volume on a cliffhanger only to immediately resolve the situation in the first few pages of the next volume is bad and you should feel bad.
Character: 5/10
The main characters are cute and have great chemistry. They actually communicate with each other instead of making assumptions and avoid pointless drama. The manga is squarely focused on their relationship, so they don't really have a chance to be developed as characters of their own. For example, Fudou is straightforward and a gym nut but we don't really learn much more.
Every side character gets about one chapter devoted to them and then a few scenes together, save beast princess who gets a little more screen time. As mentioned previously, they're not much more than walking gags to fill in the spaces when other characters are necessary for a plot point or joke but at least they're entertaining.
Art: what would a 10 even be?/10
The artist is good with making faces expressive, such as good reaction shots, which is critical in a romance or comedy and doubly important in a romcom. Character designs are good.
Overall: 6/10
An enjoyable manga, wholesome and fun but nothing more than that. It's too short and shallow to be an amazing romance and, while funny, it's not a gut busting hilarious. Of course, there is nothing wrong with something being a light read so don't be put off if that's what you're looking, you can't go wrong with this manga.
Mixed recommendation: great if you 're looking for something cute and wholesome just to unwind a little. If you're wanting something with more substance, look elsewhere.
This is a pretty straightforward romcom (it really is more of a romcom than anything else) that's cute, harmless and really quite funny. I realised after writing a more in depth review that honestly the key here is simplicity. It's a low-drama romantic comedy with some fun twists and turns, great characters (even the side characters are funny and endearing). While everything does the job its supposed to do well the characters stand out as being really fun for me. If you want something sweet and low key to relax and laugh to pick this up, plus it's not super long so it's pretty easy toget through without a huge cost and time commitment.
A nice short romcom. The rom is pretty much as cliché as it can get, the interactions between the main couple rather than romantic are cute, it's the type of romance that doesn't really make your heart pound but makes you go "aww". The com on the other hand was very enjoyable. I especially liked the dynamic between the female lead and green gelato Aigo, it was hilarious seeing the equivalent of a power ranger being scared shitless at the sight of a girl that's cute as a button. Surprisingly I didn't hate the ending, even though it was rushed. For an axed manga it endspretty gracefully which is rare. I guess some of the side charcters could've used a little more development but it's nothing I'll lose sleep over. Obviously a time skip ending is kinda cheap as always, but I didn't feel any of that frustration that you'd feel after reading the average rushed axe ending.
Overall it was a light and midly entertaining read.
you know, the gimmick of the evil team versus the power ranger team, i think it's cute and i think it's silly, and it was a good short time. classic cliches of many a manga where there's a rival, non-communication, misunderstandings, couple being embarrassed at the smallest things, cliches of school life, but I'M GONNA SAY IT, I thought it was a fun read with an enjoyable gimmick. There were great wholesome moments and I wished we got more progression of beast princess and the guy on gelato 5 who was into her. I think it's a manga that doesn't overstay its welcome at itsalmost 40 chapters, short and sweet with nice art and character designs but rather one note characters, which is fine for a, to borrow other reviewer's words, fast food experience of some lovebirds going through it. Just two fumbling dummies who are extremely strong and going about love for the first time.
I’m on a kind of streak of reading romance manga this year. THE REVIEW FOR THIS MANGA IS PART 2 OF IT. PART 1 IS ABOUT THIS ONE: Kawaii dake ja Nai Shikimori-san This is going to be a short one. In summary, very good and cozy romcom manga. The art is cute and the premise very simple, but kinda different in its own way. A Power Ranger dating the villain isn't something you see very often. Quick list of points that I liked and disliked: Likes - Art is simple but good, easy to read. Great character design, too. - Characters are the strongest point: Charismatic idiots, almostall of them
- The gag about both of the organizations (the heroes and the villains) being structured like some kinda of regular japanese company
- For me the comedy is good and not too repetitive
- Does not take itself serious at all.
Dislikes
- When I started reading I expected them to be fully adults and not some high school kids. I'm starting to realize how dificult it is for japanese authors to make adult romance manga that isn't a h*ntai, it probably doesn't sell very well, which is a shame.
- Kinda on the same page, the story ending after their high school graduation like almost every romance manga. I wished they showed a bit of their college and adult lives as well.
And I think that's that. It's kinda like a restaurant that looks like fast food but when you eat some has a little home-made meal taste. Recomend to everyone that likes stupid romance comedies like the Seto no Hanayome anime and such.
This manga centers around the budding romantic relationship of Aikawa Fudou and and Magahara Desumi, the former being the leader of a Power Rangers/Sentai type team of heroes, and the latter being a part of the evil, world domination seeking group known as Gecko. Like all Sentai series, these two groups fight each other and are full of big personalities and over-the-top names for attack. While this is happening, Fudou and Desumi have a secret relationship despite their complicated situation and try their best to hide it from the others. The story is lighthearted and fun, with it fulfilling both the romance and comedy genres withease. Since this is quite the short read, you could probably read through it in one day. The story doesn't drag out or frequently appeal to the gag of interrupting intimate moments of the main couple with phone ringing or someone walking in on them. It's a very straightforward story which doesn't try to do anything too crazy or deviate from the standard romcom formula.
Overall, this is a nice read that can fill in that wholesome romance niche.
A victim of cancellation, this is one instance where a good manga getting the axe did not result in an absolute cliffhanger for an ending, like Dantoudai no Hanayome or Double Arts. A romantic comedy that wears its heart on its sleeve, this is definitely the kind of thing you read to cleanse yourself after watching something crappy (Cyberpunk Edge Runners) or brutal (Texhnolyze). The manga's straightforward nature makes it a delightful and relaxing experience. Story: In a world where Super Sentai versus Evil Organization is basically a fact of life, Super Sentai Red Aikawa Fudou has fallen in love. Given how much of a densemusclehead he is, this is so unusual that his boss orders him to go out and confess, since otherwise he'll miss a golden opportunity. Being a good, upright lad, Fudou does as he is told... and confesses to Death Princess Magahara Desumi, one of the most powerful members of the Evil Organization he is supposed to oppose! Oops, tee-hee~ (๑>•̀๑)ᕗ Hijinks ensue as these two use the battles their jobs necessitate as excuses to go on dates, with every time they are almost caught resulting in an improvised reaction to make it look like no such thing is happening, honest.
The art is surprisingly nice. It's a romcom disguised as an action manga, so there are plenty of battles, all of which look quite nice. Desumi is adorable, and since she's got at least a thousand reaction faces to the way her life is going, she's everything from cute to hilarious to terrifying.
Again, this manga got the axe, even though it got an anime adaptation. So the ones who get the most development are Fudou and Desumi. Their coworkers get minimum development, some more than others, usually as a result of further developing the title characters. Still, for someone who only had a handful of chapters to wrap things up, I have to say the mangaka did a very good job.
It's too late to get it uncancelled, but given how lighthearted it is, it's still worth reading. Manga's not all about the epic conflicts, sometimes, you just need something that will make you feel good.
Ahhh, another manga finished, and this time a physical one. I finished two hard copy manga, and it felt fantastic knowing I have two complete collections of manga inside my drawer. That's put a smile on my face. How did I find this? Masayoshi Ooishi I never talk about the anime, but I got into the manga by watching the anime and seeing the manga sold at Gramedia. Appealing (Why did I get into the manga?) Classic Power Ranger story with a twist! The main Power Ranger is in love with the main villain. How could I not take the bait?Platform
As far as I know, the only platform that serves this manga are Bookwalker and Manga Mirai.
Now, I could be wrong. I had no idea how to check the availability of manga on the internet.
The review;
Story/plot
SOL Romcom story of Fudou, the Red Ranger, or the series called him Red Gelato, and Desumi, the Gekko Princess, the main "villain" of the series.
As far as the story goes, there aren't many major plots. It was just your typical SOL Romcom story, my kind of gem.
Though I have to point out that the ending felt a bit rushed. I don't know why the author did that, but I couldn't complain because the journey was good enough as it is. I don't need a crazy, super amazing ending to a SOL Romcom like this. I take it for what it is.
Illustration
Cute!
I love the illustration, and I don't have any complaints. Two Thumbs Up!
Characters
The two lead characters are the main focus. There is some character development for the side character, but it felt rubbed away because how that plot didn't do any significant to the main plot with the two leads.
I'm just happy that in the end, all characters have come together with their significant others. Even have a kid.
Proportions of the manga
Two Thumbs Up!
The conclustion;
The good
I'm glad I read this in physical form.
The bad
I wish they had a second/final season of the anime. They were literally there, just a tiny bit, and they reached the finish line.
Graditude
I couldn't be happier. Thanks, Gramedia, for having this manga available to buy at your store. I appreciate it.
Overall 7.7/10
Good read. Wish it were longer.
Hopium, the anime, gets 2nd season.
