Just read this manga and saw it has no reviews here, so I decided to write a quick one. The manga feels somewhere between "Ueno-san wa Bukiyou" and "The Story Between a Dumb Prefect and a High School Girl with an Inappropriate Skirt Length," for those familiar with either of those series, due to its clumsy female lead and stoic male lead. "Arakure Ojousama wa Monmon Shiteiru" starts with Kuchinashi Tsubaki (tall athletic girl popular with other girls) trying to put Tadashi Kiritsu (diligent public morals officer) in compromising lewd situations in order to blackmail him. She gets more flustered than he does as a resultof her own setups, and there's the comedy.

As the series goes on, it naturally transitions to more of a clumsy romcom, where she starts approaching him out of personal romantic interest and stops telling herself her motivations are anything else. Since Kiritsu is still wary of Tsubaki's intentions, however, many of her attempts to get closer result in the two of them comedically yelling at each other.

The premises of each chapter are consistently fun, the chemistry between the two mains is great, and the gradual character development so far has been solid. There are a handful of minor characters who show up from time to time who fit in nicely as well. I'd recommend picking it up if you're looking for a funny slightly lewd romcom.

I've also been following the manga for a while and this is my 3rd reread, with my first read through being up to Chapter 20ish? I think, and my second being up to the hiatus. So I'm a big fan of this manga, Super high reccomendation if you're looking for a romance manga that actually has stuff happen. Maybe a too high rating sure but I really love this manga, I love the growth of the characters it never really feels stagnant. The start is signifcantly more horny and mean than the rest of the manga. The hornyness makes sense since so many manga aresuper horny in the first 5 - 10 chapters and then it's just gone for most of it after. and the MCs being mean/ super harsh is intended for the character growth which I personally found really well written. I enjoy the dynamic between the 2 mcs, again due to their growth and believable chemistry. Just a well written manga with some nice pacing that never feels likes it going through the motions, as so many manga feel like they just get stuck in the same period of time with the characters never growing or changing, though in this manga stuff happens and it's super enjoyable to read and watch characters develop. (I have like 1 minor complaint with a specific character but overall I have very few issues with this)

This is a very horny manga, but I think it is worth reading. Don't except a wholesome romance (though I do love wholesome romances) . There is a decent amount of drama. Most of the drama isn't bad, however it can be annoying at times. That said I really enjoyed the manga, and I think the two main characters are quite unique. There is also actual progress, although the manga isn't finished yet. To elaborate when I say horny, I don't mean that it is simply an ecchi- rather the main character is just a little bit perverted; however I honestly enjoyed that part ofher character. The dude is a hard-ass, but I think that makes him more unique and funny to watch.

If this is your one of your first romances (don't know how it would be, as it is somewhat obscure) I would recommend reading others first, as this is not what you usually get.

A really well-made romcom that's definitely worth giving a try. The art feels clean and is a treat to look at. The author does a good job of making expressive characters, especially Kuchinashi's expressions are fun to look at. The interactions between Kuchinashi and Kiritsu are entertaining, with her getting embarrassed as she tries to execute her plans, usually turning the situation ecchi, and Kiritsu reacting back in a stiff and serious way. I think a lot of the enjoyment will be divided depending on your taste for ecchi rather than the romcom because there is a whole bunch of it in this manga, andmost of the comedy is centered on it.

For me, I found the manga funny because of Kuchinashi's absurd plans and how she always takes it in a perverted direction while at the same time having basically no sex education which adds to the humor. Overall, I think the two have a fun synergy, and it's a great manga to read for a good laugh.

Not very good but upon a reread binge of several manga I found this not as annoying as I did Initially, especially now that more characters have come in to spice up the story and comedy. My main problem with the manga is purely preference, I don't like the dynamic of bickering marriage couple. Which is why I don't like the current dynamic between Tsubaki and Kiritsu. It doesn't help that the very first chapter is about Tsubaki trying to get Kiritsu to molest her on camera so he gets expelled and potentially die socially. Am I supposed to be charmed by this? I get it she'sjust being a typical bitchy tsundere, in truth she just wants to charm Kiritsu.

...That doesn't make it better thiough?

As shown later Kiritsu DOES care about her and finds her sexually attractive, the only problem is that Tsubaki constantly tries to scheme some sort of plan to make Kiritsu submit rather than trying to talk to him and become closer gradually over time. Which makes sense, once you find out a bit of her background but...It's just annoying.

These two do an awful job of communicating, it isn't until chapter 20 where the two manage to have a somewhat decent conversation without (too much) miscommunication or a screaming battle at the end. It is the only good, romantic moment the two have in fact. Even the date chapter just ended with a bitter taste in my mouth.

Later on we get more and more hints about Tsubaki's past and how she not only has overprotective parents who sheltered her, she was also molested, harassed and from the implications almost raped by other men. It would explain her overall bitter nature towards men, even to Kiritsu despite her knowing that he's not like those assholes from before.

HOWEVER, even with all these things, I can see potential. I really like the friendship between Tsubaki and Chihara, Yarino is pretty funny so far and I'm interested in seeing Kiritsu and Tsubaki actually managing to become friends and maybe even lovers.

Would I reccomend it? ehhhh, not quite yet. But I feel it's getting there. Also, it has fanservice so the target audience will like it even if they find the romance bad.
