Reviews for My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer

Synopsis: A story about retired adventurer adopting a baby he found from the forest, and after a few years, the girl move into far city to be an adventurer. from there, the once adorable helpless baby grew up to be a fine woman with undeniably monster strength. The daughter raise into S-rank in the adventurer guild after being separated from her father for 5 years. now her goal is to go back to her hometown and be reunited with her father. [End of synopsis] Well, this story pretty much talk about a daughter and father relationship. compare to other father-daughter stories out there, this one is trulywholesome and has no "romantic feelings" at all. the daughter is just a normal girl who missed her father.

Many of her friends in the story said she is a father-con, which isn't too far off, but the daughter action clear up all readers prediction from going into 'incest route' by claiming "If there's a woman out there want to marry my father, they need to fulfill all of my requirements before I grant their blessing" from there on, it's clear that she doesn't see her father anything more than parental love.

Story: 8/10

Finally, I find a wholesome manga about father-daughter relationship without any romantic feelings at all between them. and the daughter is not jealous when a woman close to her father, she's more like angry since most of them did not fill the requirements.

Art: 7/10

Good artstyle. not too detailed but not too simple either. the characters have their own characteristics to easily be distinguished. the author did a great job drawing a background wide shot when it needed.

Character: 8/10

So far, the characters in the story are well made. some of them have big development too later in the story and not just 'Good and Evil' trope, just what I wanted!

Enjoyment: 7/10

It's nice to read when you wanted a light-hearted but still have some big mystery around them to make it interesting. yes, you read it right. there's still a lot of mystery in this story since it's not only focusing on two of them (father and daughter), but their surroundings too.

Overall: 8/10

The story is basically a slice of life in a fantasy setting, but despite that it has plot and a good amount of action. The characters are likeable with a bit of unusual cast that makes an interesting dynamic, the art is good, it has some good action scenes. It has a bit of everything. Unless you hate any of the genres, I really think that you should check this. The not so good thing about this may be that characters aren't that complex nor that interesting even tho they are likeable, so I wouldn't recommend this to people that want a more dense story. Also,because it's a slice of life it isn't packed with action even tho it has enough imo,

If you watched the anime and you are curious about this, you should know that this is better. Anime skipped lot of stuff and the production value wasn't that good considering that the manga has good art. If you are thinking about reading this, you should skip the anime.
