If you had the chance to erase your painful past, would you take it? This is a short story that explores the emotional impact of malicious rumors and a person's attempt to move past them by going to study at a distant college. The story's brilliance, however, comes from the fact that our main point-of-view character isn't the one I'm talking about. We explore that character, instead, through the eyes of someone very different in terms of personality and mindset, getting to see how someone like that would perceive the situation. Furuya Nagisa managed to showcase a realistic, heartwarming relationship between an introvert turning a newleaf and an extrovert wiling to look past his cold exterior.

Despite the romance tag, major emphasis has been put into developing a realistic friendship before anything else. And that's honestly something that you don't find often in this genre, let alone executed so brilliantly.

The art is also very good, with great character and background details. Furuya Nagisa also has an eye for good panelling and especially for expressive facial features. For the genre this manga belongs in, the art is heaps and bounds better than what you'd find in other similar stories and compliments the story well.

What some readers might not like is the significant lack of romance in the first half of the story. While shounen-ai as a genre is known for its slow and methodical buildup of character relations, the progression of friendship to romance is slow enough to deter a chunk of the audience from finishing the story. But if one approaches this with the mindset of looking for a story about people finding each other in a time of emotional need instead of a "love-at-first-sight" plot then the manga becomes far more enjoyable.

Overall, this is a must-read for anybody looking for a short, heartwarming slice-of-life(esque) story about an unconventional relationship between polar opposites.

Bought this manga as soon as it became available in my local shop and i regret nothing! This story is peaceful, calm, sweet and full of realistic aspects. It has nothing adult in it and it takes the reader's attention step by step, as soon as the characters start to develop and learn more about each other. This manga captures the idea of overcoming your past and finding acceptance in a person you never thought you could get close to, and it starts to develop into something else very slow, but in a sweet manner. If you want to read a sweet romantic story between 2 guys, withoutany adult scenes and with a good art, then this one is for you!

I just LOVED this BL. If you want to read a BL with a nice story without a lot of drama and mature scenes, this manga is for you. The characters are nice and captivating, the story is very cute, the art is great and the protagonists have a lot of chemistry. I wished it had more chapters tho, I would love to read more about them and their relationship development. But, overall, I enjoyed it very much. I really recommend this one if you want to start to read BL and don't wanna see any s3x scenes or super fetishized relationships. This is ahidden gem, honestly. So underrated.

OH my gosh, so good!! I just wanted to get some thoughts out, I really like this mangaka's work from before because it's always super warm realistic and sweet. Both leads are really great, and yeah, some plot points are predictable (short stories like these need to rely on tropes anyway to move the story along) but overall its really fresh and a good addition to the bl or even slice of life genre. The art is outstanding, no words needed, everything in the story just flows well in terms of narrative and everything, it just makes you feel warm and fuzzy after reading it. sooogood.

all things aside onizuka is so fucking hot lol, like those smiles and those eyes,, like oof my heart is falling for him too
