Reviews for Koibumi: Yamamoto Souichirou Tanpenshuu
Back to MangaMod Edit: This review was originally posted for Kaijuu no Tokage (102709) and has subsequently been merged into Koibumi: Yamamoto Souichirou Tanpenshuu (113567). The story itself is pretty simple so I can't praise it for being groundbreaking or critique it for being horrible. It's fine. The art is plenty cute and does adequately encapsulate that SoL/comedy feel that we all look for. Okay okay, with that done, my real reasons for this review were the characters and enjoyment. I like all the characters but that's usually until the chapters get to their midpoint. The titular monster lizard is adorable in her gullibility and her simple desiresto be happy with the sisters compliments this well. She's great. My enjoyment faulters, however, when it comes to the sisters. They seem to be good hearted for the most part but whenever they interact with Lizard chan, they end up making her cry. When moments like those happen, it just puts me off of the whole vibe that the manga otherwise had built up. Recently it seems like they've laid off a bit, but it still sorta feels almost like bullying sometimes.
