Reviews for Gokujou♥Drops
Back to MangaGokujou Drops is a Shoujo, Smut, Yuri manga about your regular Plain Jane getting caught up in the lives of some extravagant individuals. There is nothing unique about this set-up but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying it and shouldn’t stop any fan of the yuri genre… albeit those who aren’t too fond of explicit material. Just like with most manga of the “yuri” genre, Gokujou Drops follows the day-to-day antics of Komari. A High-School freshman who’s in serious need of a place to stay and she’s in luck, as one of the residents of Paraso no Yakata (a dorm of elites) has acquired an interestin her. So in the typical shoujo fashion, she’s allowed to stay in said dorm yet she must conform to being her onee-sama’s pet, play-thing, whichever way you want to spin it. This whole “Master–Slave” pairing is the least bit original and the predictable formula each chapter follows doesn’t help one bit, but the characters and the way they interact with one another is what makes it all enjoyable.
With that said… don’t expect anything original with the character set-up either, since this manga basically ticks every box; from the squabbling twin siblings, to the level-headed leader. Nonetheless it’s the way they interact with one another that intrigues me and would do the same to most fans of the yuri genre. Learning all their subtle mannerism, various personal traits and such certainly adds a lot to the bland story of this bland slice of life. Shame the artwork doesn’t do the same, as it adopts the exquisite design found in most yuri manga of this nature.
In the end yuri is a genre that is not often ventured and on the of chance that it does go beyond your standard oneshot, it often ends up like Gokujou Drops. A slice of life set in an extravagant all-girls school, where one poor innocent girl is constantly sort after and used to relieve sexual tension. But hey… if the concept ain’t broke then don’t fix it… just tweak it to your liking and that’s also what Gokujou Drops does.
*Be warned, there's sexual content.*
its confusing, to say the least. you never know quite what you want to know. the story is average, the art is passable, and the characters are there, but not much else. my enjoyment of this manga is mainly due to it being longer than one volume, and no guys at all, aside from memories. if you love shojo, than this may appeal to you FAR more than it did to me, because that is the art style and story style. but to me, i thought this is what people who hate slice of life think all slice of life manga are like.

All in all i found this to be an average read.
It´s not a masterpiece, but there is fun, kissing, and alot of sexual stuff happening.
Maybe your the type of guy who likes this, if yes go for it.
I´m no expert with drawing and technical stuff, but i´ve seen much worse, and i liked the drawing style of the author alot.
With its 25 chapters it´s not overly long and when you´re a Yuri lover, giving it a try will definetly not be a waste of time.
My personal preference is more the romantic stuff though. Thats why the first few chapters scared me a bit off, but as the story evolves i still enjoyed it somehow.
I rate it with an honest 7/10
Pretty much every chapter is filled with girls lezzing out, forcing Komari to strip or molesting her at every turn with little to no fighting back from her as she has absolutely no mental or physical strenght seemingly, so she just lets herself be used as a living fucktoy by pretty much anyone and everyone in the cast. "That sounds great, what's the problem?" The problem is that everyone, including Komari, is a giant fucking bitch with absolute zero sex appeal and absolutely BORING designs. The boring designs and zero sex appeal parts are mostly due to the art style. Everyone has the exact, EXACT, samebody and the same face is also noticeable.
Komari and Yukio are a shitty couple, their drama is always the dumbest shit that could've been resolved in 5 seconds if Komari wasn't such a stupid piece of shit slut and finally opened her goddamn mouth instead of whimpering and crying all the time holy fucking shit I hate her so much.
Yukio is not much better, she may not be as annoying as Komari but this cunt is definitly bipolar and constantly gave mixed messages.
The side cast don't matter, they could've all easily been written out or kept in the background as their one and only true purpose is to molest Komari in a lazily done ero scene that often times is filled with stiff poses and lacking any sort of natural satisfying ending. (Orgasm.)
Erika has it the absolute worst as out of everyone her design and personality is the most attractive yet she's stuck in these really shitty and quick scenes that are nowhere near raunchy enough to get you off and she has no focus within the story beyond molesting that shitty bitch Komari.
Finally the ending, oh my god, I do not want to slut shame so much but these really are nothing more than a bunch of shallow bitches in heat that think with their pussies.
3/10, this would've been a 10/10 if the characters were all lolis instead for sure.
