Reviews for Love in Limbo

Hengoku no Calendula is one of the few fantasy BL manga that are greatly thought through and executed in an almost perfect way. The manga focuses a lot of time on world-building by introducing monsters, creatures, entities and the roles each character plays in their world. The story includes a lot of action and fighting elements and create an interesting plot that might make you forget that you are reading a BL at times. But don't worry! The romance is kind of a slow-burn one and really makes it worthwile in the end. Often BL romances feel rushed or forced, which is definitely not the wayin this one!

I can dearly recommend this one to any fantasy fans and BL lovers that are tired of reading the same stuff over and over!

I only gave it an 8 because it was quite confusing to me but I quite enjoyed it so I also really like it. One thing I can really say about this manga is that the things you can do for love whether it is parental familial or romance kind of life, you would do so much for the one you love, for example, the sacrifices of the father of Makoto, Calen's love for Makoto , Makoto's love for Calen. Also I love that they included the meaning of the Calendula flower, despair grief the pain of separation endurance and everlasting love, quite nice isn't (´∩｡• ᵕ•｡∩`)
