[Spoilers free] To be honest, I like Adachi Mitsuru all works. But Cross game, I like the most. From there I came across this anime and after watching 24 episodes it even took me quite a lot of trouble to find raws but I am now glad after finishing all 48 episodes that I took all that trouble! The story proceeding is quite slow at start but goes steady after few episodes after 28th episode story paced down a lot but it got better in 3-4 episodes, overall story-wise it was an enjoyable ride. Also Music, Osts, opening and endings I liked a lot especially ending threeand after watching whole series I thought it was a little rushed at the end that is the reason for giving 8.

While I dont know how it took place in manga but if they took it a little slow at the end, I think this anime had quite potential(still have it though ;D).

Art is quite old if you have not watched touch or anime with old art style and dislike this type of art then it is not for you.

If you liked H2,Touch and cross game then you do not have to hesitate just go and watch the whole series it will be a lot fun for you.

The overall rating I would like to give is 8.0 though it is quite closed to 9(the anime rating I wanted to give this show, I meant) but still 8.5 I think is better.

But I think, I am glad I watched this anime it was quite a joyride of emotions filled journey.

So I hope that someday it gets completely subbed so everyone can enjoy this series because old is gold!

I usually don't write reviews for anime even the ones that i like. But i have to write for this one. Hiatari Ryoukou is one of Mitsuru Adachi's earlier works. I really like this anime very much. It is definitely one of the best romance anime from the 80s alongside Touch and Maison Ikkoku. It is similar to both Maison ikkoku and touch in terms of setting. Story- The story is about Kasumi who have to transfer to another school and another area. She believed to be living alone with her aunt. But unfortunately the place she was suppose to live is apartment with fourboys. She started to slowly fall in love with one of the boys Takesugi Yusaku. The relationship between them is the central of the story

Characters- Kasumi and Yusaku are the main characters. Alongside them, the other characters are really great. And Katsuhiko (who is Kasumi's boyfriend) turns out to be a really guy who knows Yusaku's unrequited feelings toward Kasumi and also Kasumi's feelings toward Yusaku (No spoilers).

Artstyle- the Artstyle is same as Touch. And there are so many characters who looks exactly like their Touch counterpart. But overall the artstyle is my cup of tea.

Soundtrack- now this is something that i really love about this show. The 1st op and ed are cheesy bcuz of the tone of the show for the season. However during 2nd and 3rd season the shiw become touching and the ops and eds are memorable as well. The music is really good.

Enjoyment- I really love this show. After 1st season it becomes touching and depressing. However if it weren’t for the rushed ending (no spoilers). I would give this 10/10. But anyway it is really my favourite.

Overall- At the last I've to say this is really good anime. It is underrated. It deserves more audience.

( Just a little spoiler) I love you, I want to be with you forever, in next episode i can't choose anyone, ya those are the words of our main female mc . My main reason to watch ( sunny Ryuko) was the Romance genre, but i didn't know, this show is just garbage. If you squeeze the show could end in 10 episodes. 42 episodes feels like you are watching everything on repeat. While the beginning of the show was interesting, it became a mess till the end. This writer is famous for his crap stories. Story - the story is nothing special, just sameas maison ikku and touch , where you will find an innocent mc who is getting tossed around by the female mc from here to there, same story is here.

Ok in short, the story revolves around two characters kasumi and yusaku , but kasume already having a boyfriend but she fall in love with our mc, and mc fall in love with her too. But now what she will do , who she will choose.?

And in the end, she didn't choose anyone. Instead of playing with them, Ya i am serious.

Characters -

Kasumi - she is a carring girl , and irritating too who is just playing with MC's heart ( reminder )- I love you, I want to be with you forever, in next episode i can't choose anyone, lol .

Yuske - he is guy who lives for others happiness, even it hurts him , bro is too nice for this world., yuske was the best thing about this show, such an interesting, lovely and funny guy. But writer wasted his potential completely.

Side characters - they are enjoyable to watch.

Art style - it was beautiful, colorful animation filled with aesthetic charm.

Enjoyment - watching this show was my biggest mistake. In the end I felt frustration, with a mess story., i felt so bad for the mc .

Overall - 1/10 .
