Reviews for Yandere Dark Elf: She Chased Me All the Way From Another World!
Back to AnimeIT SHOULD OF BEEN ME, NOT HIM! How's it going bros my name is MYsterIOUSS FRiEnD and today yours truly will be talking about this masterpiece. this series really opened my eyes to what's out there, you ever think dark elfs are real? because i really REALLY hope so, honestly. from watching the unconcerned version of this I got to say I love dark elfs. I'm sorry to throw this on you readers but GAWD DAMN! holy moly. Yall see what I'm seeing???? CLEARLY NOT if you don't like this. now look never my in my life have I ever been jealous of a kid untilwatching this. YES HEAR ME OUT. is it weird that the MC is a little boy... YES YES IT IS. but like... lets put it this way, if you were 12 would you have wanted a dark elf girlfriend. be honest with yourself, you would I'm sure. so when your watching this just picture yourself as the MC and everything is all good right? and yes the animation is stiff but not as stiff as me so its ok.
to wrap this up i just gotta say if you want to watch a short series with some juicy moments this is for you and side note I'm shocked to how much I've enjoyed this.
Pretty good anime, I enjoy seeing hot ladies, especially dark elves. It is your average romance/ecchi anime, but average can be good as well. I definitely recommend this anime if you like seeing ASS and BIG JIGGLY ANIME TITTIES on the screen, they're kinda hard to miss. Very degen stuff, lots of fan service, and lots of Mariabell. Basically, if you like ecchi or tryna rank up your gooner level, this is the anime to enjoy, you get what you came for. Character dynamic between the MC Hinata and love interest Mariabell is pretty sussy and cute, they'll probably give you awarm feeling about them as you watch their interactions, or maybe a warm feeling somewhere else, depends on where you're looking. But so far at the end of the day, I think you'll be hoping that they finally do, what Miss Mariabell wants to do with this young brother.
As Cecil said, "May the gods protect you."
This is like hentai but without the sex and with bad art. The whole anime is just the same thing over and over. A black elf girl shoves her boobs in the main character’s face, then someone suddenly jumps out from around the corner and boom, the scene is over. That’s it for 12 episodes straight. There’s literally no plot. I had to watch it at 3x speed or I would've gone insane. Fanservice is boring. Maybe because there’s no context, or maybe because the female characters are drawn like childish doodles where you can’t even tell what gender they are. The only thing that’s somewhatdrawn is the boobs, and even those are bad.
Anything that could have made it remotely interesting, like it being set in another world, the presence of magic, or the fact that the girl is a black elf, doesn’t matter at all. It’s just background that has no impact on anything.
In the end, I have no idea why anyone would watch this. There’s no fun, no comedy, no visuals. The screenshots are misleading and any halfway decent AI could have generated better scenes and story than this.
Definitely not recommended. Total waste of time.
Having abstented from watching shows containing fan service for a many years I decided to give this one a go since I vaguely recalled reading the source material. Served as a good reminder why I stopped watching this stuff. You're just getting blue balled the entire time. Three episodes in and you get served the classic "oh they're about to kiss wouldnt it be funny if some bullshit happened and they got interrupted lmao go watch 9 more episodes and MAYBE you'll get to see them hold hands". Shows like this don't work in my opinion because when the main appeal is "the horny" you need toshow the viewer something. But since it's an Anime not a Hentai the most you get to see is some titties. Big.
There's nothing else to make up for it like a decent plot, interesting characters or a fleshed out world.
Iirc the source material were the doujins which ofc showed you everything (highly recommended, it's good stuff). I don't get the point in making an uncensored version which is obviously rated 18+ but then not including any of the good stuff.
This whole tip toeing around intimate scenes is just annoying.
I don't know man maybe I'm just getting old.
Seriously go "read" the doujin.
A good ecchi is usually one of two, sometimes both: 1: A good display of well-drawn detailed human bodies, displaying humans made of flesh, muscle, fat, sinew, etc (Think your High School of the Dead, High School DxD, Killing Bites, Shin Cutie Honey, etc) 2: A good source of fetishes (Think Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete, Iya na Kao sare nagara Opantsu Misete Moraitai, etc) This one is neither: Most sexual stuff here is ultra-basic, bodies are badly drawn, the animation is bad, the story is boring, the art is often crooked, scenes drag for too long, it also fail at comedy, and the list goes on... Honestly, atsome point I started dozing off in the last episodes because thinking about this review was more interesting.
Usually I would've dropped something like that very early on, but being half-length made it so it never annoyed me much or was much of an effort for me to watch it during it's first episodes. Later on I began postponing watching it's episodes, which is usually a drop for me... but I kinda wanted to have this for AMQ, so you can thank it for me finishing it.
Do know that I went out of my way to grab the uncensored versions, because the censored ones make watching this have no point, other than perhaps be surprised by the presence of characters from better anime such as MahoAko, Made in Abyss and Akagi.
Studio Elias wasn't satisfied with what it did to Elf-san wa Yaserarenai, so it had to show the world it could do worse so that appeared better by comparison.
Can toxic love be beautiful? Yandere Dark Elf proves it’s a dazzling paradox! This 2025 reverse-isekai follows Hinata, a hero back from slaying demons, only to be chased by Mariabelle, a yandere dark elf whose love burns like a supernova. Her obsession is scary yet magnetic, evolving into a spectacular romance. Studio Elias delivers vibrant visuals, with Bell’s design stealing the show. The 12-minute episodes mix humor, ecchi, and heart, showing the messy aftermath of an isekai life. Fans on X love the chemistry, despite a simple plot. It’s chaotic, authentic, and unmissable. Dive in, Master, for a wild, starry-eyed ride! winks
When I first saw images for this show at AnimeNYC, I was a little skeptical. But I actually took the time to watch it and was incredibly surprised with how much I enjoyed the non-sexual plotline. Between Hinata learning to express his feelings for Mariabell, Mariabell learning to adapt and thrive in the world around her, and the lore of dark elves being discriminated against and Hinata saving her life. I totally get her being clingy around him. Episodes being 11 minutes long rather than the standard 22 makes it incredibly easy to binge. The pacing is just fast enough to keep your attention yetstill gives scenes enough time to breathe. Some pick up from where the previous leaves off, but for the most part they're episodic adventures which further the overall plot.
If you're a fan of ecchi anime and like seeing anime girls naked, you will not be disappointed. Each episode has at least a few clear nipple shots, mostly Mariabell's, but the other girls get in on the fun too. There are some actual hentaiesque scenes, as to be expected, but for the most part it doesn't take away from the brilliant writing and slice of life adventures.
Since original review was removed due "not enough info" fine here it is: Animation: Half episode is fine for what it is nothing more nothing less 7/10 Characters: What there is even to tell? It's characters from not that dark or deep doujin, nothing great is expected from them... 3/10 Story: Again... What story?! FMC chases MC to his world just to be horny with him, but gonna get interrupted throughout this whole show in one way or another. So why was it even made as an anime in the first place?! 2/10 You want plot? Well you won't find it here. I mean even: "HaiteKudasai, Takamine-san" from same anime season has more plot than this excuse for an anime.
It's better to just read original doujin like others have stated.
You gonna read it faster than watching this and be better than this show in more ways than one.
And would be nice if it was remade into not an anime like this but what it's meant to be in the first place.
But at this point won't be holding my breath for that to happen any time soon or at all at this point. Since this "anime" was made instead...
Anyways if you want hen*ai without horny parts this is the show for you.
P.s would be nice if review mods of this site looked to the other side a bit when someone writes first review. Sure it's can be "lacking details/info" but give it a break! It's first review after all... Also, hopefully i was a bit less negative this time around. But how can you be positive about something when you know we could've gotten way better deal than this, oh well.
Yandere Dark Elf is the sequel to an average isekai harem that doesnt exist. The anime starts off with the MC defeating the demon lord. He is accompanied by 3 women with generic personalities. He is then sent back to his world. But his dark elf companion follows him. The first problem with this anime is the MC is soooooo BORING! And you'd think maybe the dark elf would make the anime fun. But she is not very interesting either. The story is dull. Nothing happens. Not even the ecchi is enough to save this anime. There are some nice anime tits in this i wont lie. Theperson who made this clearly has a fetish. And no its not a fetish for dark elves. Im talking a fetish for girly anime boys. (Hey im not judging, to each their own)
But this really should have just been a hentai. I think it would have worked way better if inbetween the boring @ss plot there was some actual fcking...
Review: Chotto dake Ai ga Omoi Dark Elf ga Isekai kara Oikakete Kita (A Slightly Too Heavy-Lovin' Dark Elf Chased Me From Another World) "Chotto dake Ai ga Omoi Dark Elf ga Isekai kara Oikakete Kita" is a light novel that, as its title subtly hints, plunges into the curious and often hilarious scenario of a human protagonist being "pursued" by a dark elf with, shall we say, a very intense love. If you're looking for a story that blends comedy, fantasy, and a touch of one-sided romance with a delightfully obsessed character, this work might be an excellent choice. The premise is simple but effective: ourprotagonist, a typical Japanese young man, suddenly finds himself at the center of attention (and affection) of an incredibly powerful dark elf who, for some mysterious reason, followed him from another world. The "heavy love" in the title isn't an exaggeration; the dark elf in question is not just devoted, but also possessive, a bit controlling, and completely oblivious to the notions of personal space in our world. This dynamic is what generates most of the humor and awkward situations.
Strengths
Situational Comedy: The work truly shines in its comedy. The contrast between the protagonist's normal life and the dark elf's eccentricities creates countless funny situations. Her attempts to adapt to the human world, her excessive displays of affection, and the protagonist's desperate reactions are the heart of the laughter.
The Dark Elf Character: The dark elf is, without a doubt, the star of the show. She's not just a generic "waifu"; her personality is well-defined and consistently entertaining. Her overwhelming love, immense strength, and complete lack of social tact make her a memorable and charismatic character, even with her obsessive tendencies. It's easy to root for her, even if you feel a bit sorry for the protagonist.
Light and Fun Pace: The reading experience is light and enjoyable. The chapters are concise and focus on specific events that highlight the interaction between the two main characters. It's a great choice for anyone looking for something to relax with and get a good laugh from.
Protagonists' Chemistry: Despite the initial one-sided love, the chemistry between the protagonist and the dark elf is undeniable. The way they interact, react to each other, and slowly develop a mutual understanding is one of the story's high points.
Points to Consider
Simple Plot: The story doesn't delve into complex plots or major twists. The primary focus is the comedic interaction between the characters, so if you're looking for an epic narrative with elaborate world-building, this might not be it.
Repetitiveness: At times, the jokes about the dark elf's obsession can feel a bit repetitive. However, the way the situations are presented generally manages to keep things fresh.
Conclusion
"Chotto dake Ai ga Omoi Dark Elf ga Isekai kara Oikakete Kita" is a fun and charming light novel that delivers exactly what it promises: a romantic comedy with a fantasy twist and an unforgettable female character. If you enjoy isekai stories with less focus on grand adventure and more on character interaction, especially if you appreciate lighthearted humor and comical situations, this work comes highly recommended. Get ready to laugh at the misadventures of a poor human protagonist and his inseparable (and slightly terrifying) dark elf.
Welcome to the yearly edition of "I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S NOT P***. And it would be a fine enjoyable throw away series, I mean the main girl is super hot, but I just can't get over how young the male MC is. Hate to be that guy, but imagine if the genders were reversed. And it was such an easy fix, all they had to do was age the boy up to like 15 or 16. Anime has no shortage of teenage girls with massive tits, they could make me believe that this girl is a teenager, (which I'm pretty sureshe's supposed to be in universe anyways). As it stands I can't imagine it appeals to anybody other than shotacons. Such a waste of gorgeous art for the girls, especially the main one.
Yandere Dark Elf: She Chased Me All the Way From Another World! - God, I wish I had a girl as dedicated to not accepting the typical LDR and just coming out of open space to be with me. Oh, glorious fantasy! Long-distance relationships, everyone knows it; I don't even need to bother explaining what it is. A boy and a girl in love, no matter how many miles apart, will still come together somehow and make that love happen. It's even more so in the instance when it involves a reverse Isekai, because there's only just about a handful of happenstances that someone from theother side of the world, as to hunt you down to make that same LDR-esque relationship work. This is mangaka Nakanosora's Chotto dake Ai ga Omoi Dark Elf ga Isekai kara Oikaketekita a.k.a Yandere Dark Elf: She Chased Me All the Way From Another World!, one of a handful of self-published adult doujinshis from the author who has made all sorts of works for the last 15 years.
So, what can you find from this rather simple rom-com? It's a fairly cookie-cutter "the hero party defeats the Demon Lord" type of story, except that we get to see the post-aftereffect side story of it with the hero himself having made it back to his homeland of Japan, but somehow, someone from his party is being a stickler to him, and she, the one that has an affection, follows him all the way back to Earth, and the obsession drives her to want to make her love nest with the hero back in his place. This is quite the story setting for Hinata Sunohara, his quote-unquote Yandere Dark Elf of Mariabelle who literally "Chased Me(Him) All the Way From Another World", and the question of maintaining sanity against someone hopelessly in love with him who wants to be as close and affectionate as possible.
I mean, for such a plot premise, this is as simple as it comes for Mariabell (often referred to as simply Bell) to want to sink her glorious oyster into the hero that changed her life after saving her from humans trying to sexually assault her (in the fantasy world). Because, for one, he who has been somehow Isekai-ed after quite the tragic upbringing of his parental figures dying in an accident and called to do all of the "Hero defeats the Demon Lord" yadda-yadda stuff, that's what we should expect and nothing more. The fact of the matter is that Bell sees Hinata as her saviour, and despite her generally friendly and caring attitude, that is thrown straight out of the window when it comes to Hinata. To be fair, as a saving grace, out of the kindness and selflessness of Hinata, he cares for Bell, but her obsessive flirtations often only garner his flusterings and the jealousy of others.
And to oversee the "operations" of the fantasy-turned-real-world couple, there is the good friend of Sakura Mochida. She, who is a rather talented manga illustrator, initially has a crush on Hinata too, but gives up her position in the face of the yandere-ness of Bell and supports them both in earnest. She may have her heart broken but is still a cherished friend to both of them, especially when she finds out of Bell being a dark elf to satiate her otaku obsessions. Even from the fantasy world, there's the priestess of Cecile and the catgirl rogue of Mei having to supervise Bell and warn of any rifts between the fantasy world and Earth, and too, they get used to life on Earth while coping with Bell's rather angsty personality.
There's a lot here to like about the characters, as bare-bones as they could be, that at least makes both the anime and its original source material work.
Given that this is an "I can't believe it's (not) Hentai" nature of the setting, it's Elias back at it again after the studio's showing on the rather voluptuous show of last Summer's Elf-san wa Yaserarenai. a.k.a Plus-Sized Elf, and for an H-anime studio, production and animation are just there for show only, with sadly not much nudity going for it due to partial uncensoring. Even I would not expect music to be as good as it is, with Miyabi's OP and Kecori's ED songs being just so-so.
Suffice to say, it's just better to watch the Deregula version, of which the newly minted anime label is the latest development from parent company WWWave Corporation, which has also owned the AnimeFesta label for years now with the "premium" uncensored versions (which you STILL have to pay to watch on Coolmic's subscription service). But even then, for a baseline "close to Hentai"-level territory show that ranges from mediocre to downright decent at best, will Yandere Dark Elf be any better being uncensored or otherwise? That is up to you to decide.
quite disappointing when compare with original doujinshi manga--[In The Sky (Nakano Sora)] A slightly pushy dark elf chased me from another world-- version from 2021 I writed all i wanted about that thing. This review needs more information to publish! Here are a few ideas of what you may want to include: Is the story unique? If it was predictable, did you enjoy it anyway because you like this genre/set-up? Do you think the art style is fitting for the story? Were the characters well-rounded? Did they have flaws and strengths, or were they unusually strong/smart/stupid?
Did the characters react to situations and events in a realistic way?
Do you think others will enjoy/dislike this series, even if you didn't? Why?
Yandere Dark Elf is an amazing ecchi anime because it blends fantasy, the yandere trope (obsessive love), and intense romance with steamy fanservice. The dynamic between the protagonist and the dangerously possessive dark elf adds thrilling tension, while the animation and character designs appeal to fans of the genre. The show combines drama, humor, and suspense, making it stand out with both provocative moments and psychological intrigue, all within a fantastical setting. Not to mention the main female character, Mariabelle is amazing in all aspects! It a masterpiece in it own way ! Was made for real fans of the Doujin and Manga
This show is so ass I don't even know what to say. Generic MC who's a sweetheart innocent kid who for some reason gets chicks coming at him every five goddamn seonds. Story: 3/10, just this Dark Elf settling into life with the MC after returning to his normal world. Super boring, not a lot happens, essentially nothing is comedic about this show. Funnily enough, if you came here looking for an "erotica", try elsewhere, there is so little that happens this might as well be an ecchi. (Note, this is 3 episodes in, so technically there may be some down the line, however, if you'recoming to watch an erotica, you expect it to be an erotica from early on).
Characters: 3/10, generic MC, strange Yandere Dark Elf is alright I suppose? Not much to say other than she's literally just the Yandere trope down to a T, and it wouldn't be complete without a random side chick who is overly flustered and clearly will act as all childhood friends in these types of shows do and get flat out backpedalled for the main girl.
Animation: 5/10, it's fine, it's not amazing. It's not bad (although the very first scene against the demon lord in ep. 1 is pretty ass). In the third episode after the 10 minute mark it has a really random crappily animated chibi section for god knows what reason.
Sound: 5/10, literally nothing to say about this, it didn't stick out for me, it didn't scream amazing or terrible, just whatever.
To end off, should you watch this? No. No, there are way better shows to watch if you want anything like this: "erotica" - any other erotica will do, "comedy" - you want a ecchi/comedy? watch DxD, Testament of Sister New Devil or So, I can't play H!. Do yourself a favour and ignore this slop pile that'll end up ignored completely in the seasonals.
