Just like Blue Lock season 2, this anime is a victim of Bandai Namco's low quality anime production. But this time the adaptation feels far worser with the animation that looks like made by unprofessional people, it doesn't have any animation style that makes you think this is made by a professional company. Not just that lots of the animation are still frames, they also don't have any consistency. Most of the time the drawings don't have good proportions and lack any details. The anime production seems being rushed or lazy they don't have any directional style for the animation, it feels like manybad animation projects are just slapped into one to make this anime. Any aspects of the animation scream about a very unprofessional production. The transitions don't feel natural, the coloring is bad, and even the eye catchers look like made with little efforts. The only good thing about the anime is probably the opening, even then it looks like made with less efforts with how bad the animation transititions and the lacks of good details. Adding to these, the soundtracks of One Punch Man season 3 are the real generic ones. Although they might add some of the previous seasons' soundtracks into the anime, the original season 3 soundtracks sound like publicly free licensed music that can easily be found on youtube. It's far from the quality of a professionally made anime soundtracks, let alone to be compared to the amazing soundtracks of the season 1.

It's an unknown why a popular manga series like this always be made into a crappy adaptation. They might want to try to easy cash grab of what many people love, but an animation at a level like this should never be praised by fans even by the slightest, otherwise the anime quality of popular manga series will keep going downhill in the future.

If you want to watch an anime about heroes, Tojima would be the better option to watch for this season. It might not have the same quality as One Punch Man season 1, but it's at least as fun as One Punch Man season 2.

I don’t care how tight the schedule was. I don’t care how little funding Bandai Namco threw at JC Staff. I don’t care how many sleepless nights the animators endured. Because as a viewer, as someone who waited years for this season, all I see is the final product. And the product we got is garbage. Season 3 of One Punch Man feels like a crime against what this series once stood for. It’s a disgraceful, hollow shell of the masterpiece that Madhouse built. The animation looks lifeless, the fight choreography feels like it was done on autopilot with camera movement being great, but the detailsthemselves were incredibly subpar, and the overall energy that defined One Punch Man is completely gone.

I am aware JC Staff only had about a year, Bandai Namco didn’t allocate proper resources, and everyone was under crushing time constraints.

But guess what?

As a consumer, I don’t care. Nobody cares. When you buy a meal at a restaurant and it tastes like burnt trash, you don’t want to hear the chef’s sob story about how the oven was broken and they were short-staffed. You just know your food tastes awful and want your money back.

That’s what One Punch Man Season 3 is. A burnt, undercooked mess of something that should’ve been great. What a disgusting disgrace for Muratas art to end up like this. What a disgrace. Even while showing characters in the slideshow they presented, they werent able to just copy paste muratas character panels and just color them, instead they made them derpy looking and ugly. You cant even do that right. What a disgrace.

I don’t tune into anime for sympathy points. I’m not here to hear about production woes, funding shortages, or corporate greed. I’m here to watch a good show. And this season was anything but that.

Bandai Namco can cry about scheduling. JC Staff can talk about passion and effort. But none of that matters when the end result is this level of far below mediocrity. One Punch Man Season 3 deserves every bit of criticism it’s getting. It’s the kind of season that makes you wish they’d just delayed it for 5 years instead of dumping out this half-baked disaster.

In the end, I’m not handing out sympathy awards like some America’s Got Talent judge getting misty-eyed over a sob story. Criticism is what improves shows, games etc. I am not telling anybody to kill themselves, I am simply using my right to criticise a public product that failed.

Disgusting trash show that belongs to a ranch.

Okay animation is not amazing but its still funny so I don't really care. I watched it because its nostalgic and as a parody of the overpowered mc trope its jokes. So I would definitely recommend if you want to watch some brain rot while eating your food. now the pacing does not feel amazing, and the animation is worse than season 2 sure, but there is not many of these shows with an adult cast especially within this genre. Art style is fine, and yes the mc is unusually strong but thats also like the whole point. No the characters dont react reaelistically, welli mean some do but not all. again its not everyones cup of tea.

Rather than talk about the What's of the Happening in OPM S3, we have to dive deeper and go into the Why's of the Tragic Mess we got from OPM S3. I'll try to explain it in a simple manner to give you all some perspective, not that it matters since everyone knows from the scrutiny, but it will help clarify why OPM S3 looked the way it is. 1. Comparison Scale * OPM S1 was hailed as an incredibly animated anime due to its animation, but some people assumed that it was because of the studio's talent or incredible budget that led to the anime's greatreception. The truth is that the anime's first season didn't even have that many talents from Madhouse. It was rather a production that assembled many freelancers and talented animators from other studios, for example, Yutaka Nakamura and Chikashi Kubota. This is important to note, while there are most definitely studios with many in-house talents at that time, Madhouse only got credit due to the perfect team of talented animators that happened to be there for OPM S1.

* OPM S2 is what S1 should have looked like without that perfect team. While it did suffer from tight deadlines and production issues similar to how S3 went through, there were still a couple of talented animators who helped save OPM from its downfall, most definitely Kenichiro Aoki, who helped provide some of the best-looking scenes in OPM S2, ultimately saving it from looking like a PowerPoint show. Although the grayish-looking backgrounds were jarring to see in the previous season, the animation was still sustainable to a good degree, despite being nowhere near as consistent as S1 was.

* And then S3 happened. Since the official teaser for S3 was announced a year ago, it was very likely that only one scene was completed before they had more finished scenes. While the blurry gray coloring that S2 had is rectified in S3, the same cannot be said for the animation in S3. As you all know from the heavy scrutiny OPM S3 went through, it was given extremely tight deadlines, implying that the project for S3 was sidelined until the announcement, whilst having very little budget for the studio. I tried to be positive and assumed that the anime would be similar to Season 2's quality, given that the circumstances were still somewhat similar to how Season 2's production went. However, this time, it did not go so well.

2. Staff Issues

* As I stated earlier about staff, Season 1 was supposed to be just a normal production, however with the network Director Shingo Natsume was able to amass during his earlier work, he was able to guarantee an incredible team to work on OPM S1 and with the amount of creative freedom the staff were given, it's what is known as the secret to how OPM was able to succeed and attract so many attention such as I, being one of my first anime to watch and repeat more than 5 times. Season 3 had more issues than just a lack of talented staff. Due to the extremely tight deadlines, it was noted that there were only a few episodes that J.C Staff handled, while the other episodes were outsourced by smaller studios from China, hence explaining why Motley Heroes received the lowest rating out of all the episodes in Season 3. The outsourcing in such a small amount of time would explain why the pacing and production were so awful, with episodes only showing characters talking and the odd color filter they would put to make them seem menacing during exposition sequences.

* The biggest reason why Season 3 is so terrible in every aspect possible would be the ridiculous mismanagement conducted by the production committee, with Bandai Namco Filmworks being the main culprit. While freelancers tried to save the season with a couple of decent storyboards and animation sequences, the frequency of this happening is all too low, and they did not have the time necessary to properly animate all episodes for Season 3. The outsourcing, the sloppy pacing, the inconsistent character modeling, and the awful censoring to cut corners were what turned OPM S3 into a dumpster fire in the end.

3. Final Conduct

* As a fan of OPM, I am both saddened and frustrated with the way OPM S3 turned out. Like most fans of OPM, a little part of me was secretly hoping that it would pull a Blue Lock comeback, with my siblings being fans of OPM and feeling hopeful that it would get better. It was unfortunate that the quality fluctuated from time to time. At the time Episode 7 aired, I was screaming as to why the show wasn't canceled at this point, as it looked so unbearable to watch. Alas, I can't seem to give the 1 rating to this season as I still found some enthusiasm, albeit little, this season 3 was able to salvage from all the mess it caused. For the aftermath, this will definitely make people lose hope towards Bandai Namco's Filmworks, considering they are involved in future projects that may cause a mess like OPM S3 to happen again in the near future. Considering how they officially announced OPM S3 2nd cour right after the end of this first cour, it still gives me a little bit of hope that it might look better than what Season 3, however, any enthusiasm from every OPM fan has just dwindled to just nothing in the end. That is the fate of a dedicated fan of a ruined franchise.

Thank you for reading.

.One Punch Man Season 3 feels more like a PowerPoint presentation with voice acting than a real anime. The characters’ mouths move, but there’s barely any actual animation or energy left in the scenes. The once-stunning visuals that defined the first season are completely gone, replaced by stiff movements and flat direction that drain all the excitement from the fights. It’s honestly disappointing to see a series known for its dynamic action and sharp humor reduced to this level of production. The only thing that still stands out is the soundtrack—especially one good song that manages to capture a bit of the old spirit. Sadly, everything else feels lifeless, making this season a huge step down for fans who’ve been waiting years for a proper continuation.

I LOVE this show. Sure the animation is a slight step down from season 2, but people exaggerate. The decrease in animation is definitely overshadowed by the positives in my opinion, let me explain. One punch man has never been a show thats supposed to be deep and change your opinion on life, it's simply meant to be a fun show with great gag humour thats enjoyable to watch. Sure it has great action and a cool cast but i think the main point is the comedic aspect, which in my opinion is just as good here as in the previous 2 seasons. If youenjoy that type of humour you will enjoy season 3. Additionally, the OST is great just as in the previous seasons and it's a vibe. If animation is the main reason for watching anime, then I guess this isn't for you. No need to hate, just simply like or dislike it.

This season is a fucking disaster. the editing is a mess, scene transitions feel off and then theres too much exposition shoved everwhere. the animation is painfully bad, that scene with garou sliding down the hill literally looked like a fucking still image being dragged across the screen. some still frames actually do look nice, with cool color shifts and dark outlines, but the moment characters move, it all falls apart. the sound design is lifeless and dull and it kills whatever enerygy the the show couldve had. even the fights don’t help. That 2nd fight in ep3 between those two guys was an absolute disasterto watch, completely flat and messy. at this point, there’s barely anything redeemable left in the show.

on top of that, it’s boring as fuck. the only fun parts are the ones with saitama, and even then it’s mostly comic relief. he’s the protagonist, and yet the show clearly doesn’t give a fuck about him. he barely gets any meaningful screen time, and even the saitama scenes that used to be funny aren’t anymore. the jokes don’t land, except maybe when his deadpan face shows up and that’s not fucking enough to carry it.

after waiting over 6 fucking yrs for a new season, this is beyond disappointing. a few nice frames here and there aren’t enuf to save it. between the terrible pacing, the lazy animation, the awful sound, and sidelining saitama, the season so far feels frustrating, boring and completely underwhelming.

Okay, I’m done. I’m not wasting my time on this garbage anymore. The moment I finished that horrible waterfall fight scene, I knew exactly where this was heading, straight into the dumpster. The animation is overloaded with still frames to the point it feels like a PowerPoint presentation with voice acting. Characters barely move, action sequences lack any sense of effort or creativity, and the storyboarding feels like it was thrown together overnight with zero planning. It’s genuinely insane how something this poorly made actually got approved. every cut screams laziness. The direction? Absolute trash. It’s the kind of work you’d expect from a low-effort sideproject, not from one of the most anticipated anime continuations of the decade.

No surprise though, the director literally came from hentai productions and has never handled an action series in his life. And boy, does it show. The pacing is awkward, the tone is inconsistent, and the fight choreography looks completely uninspired, as if no one involved had any idea what made the original battles so impactful. The whole thing reeks of production mismanagement from start to finish.

And honestly, at this point it doesn’t even feel like incompetence anymore, it feels like a money laundering scheme disguised as animation work. You can practically feel the corners being cut and the budget being funneled into nowhere. This isn’t just bad, it’s insulting.

What’s tragic is how far this series has fallen. The first season of One Punch Man was a masterpiece that defined the very peak of anime craftsmanship. It wasn’t just a great adaptation, it was a cultural milestone, showcasing fluid animation, perfect comedic timing, and jaw-dropping fight sequences that inspired an entire generation of animators. Season 3, however, is the exact opposite. It’s a hollow corpse wearing the skin of what once was greatness.

You might be looking at the (current) 4.55 score and thinking to yourself "Was it really that bad?" and the answer is yes. Apparently this season was plagued by problems in production and while they definitely lived up to Time Gunn's "Make it work," work is about the nicest thing you could say about this season. There were a lot of static panels, the fights weren't quite there, and the big ticket scenes felt flat in places. What kept it from being truly unwatchable was the story itself,in places where the action wasn't applicable. It makes me glad that we're going to have to waituntil 2027 for part 2 of season 3 because that will hopefully give production the time to make that cour more on par with seasons 1 and 2.

If you enjoyed seasons 1 and 2 you might get something out of season 3, but I would highly recommend reading the manga instead, which would be chapters 86 to about chapter 112.

Considering the content inside of this season is way worse than season 1 and 2, the fact that we had to suffer subpar animation is lessen by the hope that better arcs will get a better animation, so despite this being a positive review, I dont dislike the fact that people are speaking up about the issues in its animation, aslong as it is done reasonably. Still, the only fights that mattered were nicely animated which is a good consolation prize, it is not like they threw good animation ins the first 3 episodes and the rest were slop, the director clearly knew where to investmore time and money which is undoubtly nice, this is not a fumble, this is a production problem, I am sure the studio would have done just fine had they had more resources to work with.

People have to remember that this issue is not caused by directors and artists but by greedy decisions by the excecutives. Also if you watched S3 of one punch man hating it all the way through, atleast give toujima kaimen raider a watch, you will certainly enjoy it more.

It was nice enough 7/10

This is the most dogshit anime i have waited for. Saw the special announcement trailer a year ago and the way they hyped it up in the trailer felt like this was going to be the best animated thing to come out. Scammers doing PowerPoint presentation with dialogues on it, 1 frame for every 5 seconds is the measurement. Just read up the manga instead of watching this it has more movement than the one they animated. SUPREME POWER vs ULTIMATE FEAR my balls. 0/10 Is the story unique? If it was predictable, did you enjoy it anyway because you like this genre/set-up? - Hell no

The anime, in terms of art and design, can be said to be faithful to the manga: good drawings, beautiful landscapes, and character designs that, in most cases, are similar to those in Season 2 (S2) or may even surpass them. In terms of the story, it's also quite faithful to the manga, although there are several cuts from the manga that are hard to understand why they were made—scenes where we'd get to know certain secondary characters better. In animation... it's terrible in every sense; there's no way to defend it. Practically 85% of all episodes are static or semi-static images, with only about 15% featuringfluid animation. In other words, it heavily relies on:

Animation loops

Animating on twos

Panning shots (pans)

Mouth flaps

Hold poses

Freeze frames

Speed lines

85% of the aired episodes are basically just that—meaning there's NO real animation (movement, fluidity, realism). An average anime has only about 50% static or semi-static images, and top-tier animes have less than 20%. The fight scenes are rigid and clumsy—it's horrible, something you'd see in an anime from 40 years ago.

What differentiates an anime is precisely its animation; without animation, it doesn't exist as anime—that's what brings the images to life and sets it apart from a manga. It's unforgivable to deliver this level of quality in such a beloved anime that should be a worldwide top contender given its popularity. Even average, lesser-known animes that come out every season are vastly superior to this.

Congrats, you ruined my favorite series. My brother died waiting 3 years waiting for this complete utter garbage to finally come out. No passion was put into this, no respect for Murata and his craft, nothing to help improve upon on ONE's story, and basically ruined all potential of a season 4 ever coming. Blue tint ruining some of the iconic manga panels making it look stupid or ruins the vibe in general... garbage PNGs with the only movement being their mouths. Moving the PNG up and down is their version of movement... go **** yourself. The fights are mid at best, they keep cutting contentto the point that some characters don't have introductions meaning they just show up with nothing to tell you who they are, a lot I mean a lot of the conversation just gets cut leaving you with a basic idea but leaves the fun out of it, character models looking off in some areas to the point that it's goofy, and most of the episodes pacing is really off to the point where it feels jumbled and nonsensical.

That's everything, I would talk about the story, but maybe you should just read the MANGA. Thank you again for ruining the chance of Psykos ever getting animated, thanks again for ruining the hype of this series, and especially thank you for making us wait 6 years just to finally start animating it 6 MONTHS AGO, WHAT THE F*** ARE YOU GUYS DOING THE PAST 2 YEARS AND 6 MONTHS when the anime was ANNOUNCED. I don't want a season 4, fix season 3 first.

TLDR Don't watch, watch season 1 and maybe season 2 and then read the manga.

Disgusting. I was gonna write a lenghty review, but I'm gonna put as much effort into writing my review as was put into making this season. WHICH IS LESS THAN ZERO SOMEHOW. Have seen this level of PNGs in Record of Ragnarok before, which had to PAY PEOPLE for them to say something positive about the show. However, no one can and is willing to defent the One PNG Man. In the recent (OUTSOURCED) episode, they even genderbent one character because the poor stranger tasked with animating the snippet didn't know who tf Royal Ripper was. They probably saw long hair and thought "Looks like a womanto me" and gave the guy boobs.

Without a doubt, OPM s3 was one of the most anticipated sequels this year for majority of people. Nevertheless, this show spits in the face of any loyal fan with reused assets, PNGs with speed effects to sell the illusion of "animating" and worst of all- CENSORSHIP.

Look how thy massacred my boy

Fuck you Bandai and fuck you JC.

(Spanish review on my list) Let's see, people get so worked up over nothing. Complaints about the animation quality, the fact that they didn't adapt a certain frame, the use of static images, the manga being better written and drawn, etc., etc... You have every right to want a well-adapted work, especially since the first and second seasons had different levels of quality, BUT it's not the worst garbage in the world. You and I have seen worse animation. For example, in recent seasons, what happened to WannaDance? That 3D is cringeworthy, and it wasn't demonized as much as One Punch Man... On the other hand, I mean, come on, we're talking about One Punch Man. The fact that the manga has such good artwork is thanks to the fact that a chapter is published every 15 to 22 days and that the artist loves the work, but why don't you criticize the webcomic? That drawing is of "low quality".

What I'm getting at is... if a story is good, the animation is secondary. High Score Girl, Id:Invaded, Seikaisuru Kado, Piano no Mori, to name a few, are anime with not-so-great animation but with fantastic stories that are totally worth watching.

So what's the problem then? That One Punch Man isn't a good work overall. It's just heroes punching each other against supposedly increasingly stronger monsters, where no matter what happens, nothing matters because our protagonist is One Punch Man. He's going to defeat everyone with a single punch anyway. It doesn't have a good story, so you can't expect good animation. As a studio, I'm not going to invest much in an anime that wastes animation on heartless battles because that's what One Punch Man is: just fights for the love of fighting, without an important story, dramatic backstories, or noteworthy comedy. It's explosions of colors and ridiculous techniques, each one more "impressive" than the last, but regardless of everything, in the end, it all goes to... Solving it with a simple "One Punch Man"

It's the same joke repeated over and over. This anime should have ended in the first season because it stopped having anything new to say; it just keeps repeating itself.

SO, to summarize and end this, you can't expect much from a story that can't offer any more. The internet is upset because the only thing this anime can offer is animation in the fights, and it's not delivering that, but it's pointless. You should be content with watching a decently animated series (because if it's decent, it could be much worse) that isn't all that great... It's what happened with the Invincible series, only they took it in stride and understood that they do all that because of a low budget to deliver something passable.

I do recommend it for fans of ONE's work (and to contradict the hundreds of sheep who hate anime just because the internet says it has bad animation). If you're looking for high-budget animation, go somewhere else. Anyway, the story doesn't have much to offer, and judging it as a general anime without comparisons, it's average and doesn't offer anything special, but that's been known since season 1.

Disappointment, thy name is One Punch (season 3). Everyone that's here was probably super excited for this season, like a kid who got a puppy for christmas. Similarly, I feel like our gifted puppy also has terminal explosive diarrhea and is projectile crapping all over the house while tearing all of our shoes to shreds. The most glaring deficit is in the animation. I'm not kidding when I say that the still frames are ubiquitous, but the real crime here is when the animators actually have to put down Battlefield 6 for five seconds to hastily pen what is arguably some of the most laughableframes this season, like Garou casually skiing down a small hill on one foot in the backdrop like some stop-motion Gumby shit. Characters just facing each other and only their lips are moving, backgrounds that have absolutely no life whatsoever. Man, the embarrassing comics I drew as a kid were probably on this level, albeit much less funny (unless you take humor in reminding me about it).

It's cool to see all of our favorite characters again, but there doesn't seem to be much of a thread other than "monsters want to kill all the heroes because". I'm not exactly sure how I'm a few episodes in now but feel like not much has happened? Other than that, I think the writing is fine, it's a character driven show after all. Still, with what Bandai passes off as "animation", I feel like it's not much better than just reading the manga while someone narrates the frames at you. The whole point of an adaptation is to see the source come to life, but somehow this happens to be more stiff than the still frames in a manga. After three episodes, I can't pretend to hope it will get better.

I feel like bandai might have accidentally hired a team of that kid you knew in the first grade that ate elmer's glue. Never figured out what happened to that kid, but I guess he got hired by bandai. Good for him, bad for us.

It's outrageous what Bandai Namco is doing with One Punch Man. The level of quality that JC Staff studio is delivering is ridiculous, a joke, shameful, lazy. Shinpei Nagai is completely incapable and incompetent of handling this work. One Punch Man deserves treatment on par with Kimetsu no Yaiba, Chainsaw Man, and Sousou no Frieren. Boycott Bandai Namco, zero points. I hope the third season of OPM gets the worst possible rating. I remember the first season: beautiful, well-made, exquisite animation, a pleasure to watch. It's no wonder it became popular. Bandai Namco, learn one thing: you will profit if you invest in quality, notthe other way around. The better the quality, the more views and shares. But, with the current situation at JC Staff, you are only attracting hatred and contempt from One Punch Man fans. I repeat: the One Punch Man manga is wonderful, has magnificent art, and deserves treatment to match. In this awful season, everyone is to blame: Bandai Namco, JC Staff, Shinpei Nagai, etc.

One Frame Man S3 is bad, period. I don't care what anyone says or if they like it, but it's a fact that One Frame Man is getting worse and worse with each season. This franchise had the potential to be as big as Demon Slayer or at least close to it. This franchise is big and popular, so how does a big, popular franchise like this one get a low-quality effort in S3? All 3 episodes so far are mostly still frames, with the lips moving and the camera zooming in/out or panning up/down, that's it, utterly unoriginal, uninspiring, and generic. I expect thiscrap in your generic average Isekai trashy slop, but this franchise is big and popular, it's not a generic average Isekai slop, and the fact that One Frame Man S3 is getting the same treatment as those Isekai trashy slop makes me mad.

Episode 3 is the episode with the most movement so far, but that isn't saying much since the animations are less than 3 minutes, and the fight scene wasn't even that good to begin with; it's just your average fight, and then we are back with the still frames. And even the funny moments aren't landing on me either. I loved those funny moments in the manga, but I'm barely feeling them in the anime because of how generic and uninspiring the direction is, and sadly, I'm bored watching this. I've never felt like this with S1 because even those mundane moments have life poured into them, and I loved it. But this is a disgrace; those mundane moments in S3 are lifeless and not that funny. The culprit here is the direction; it's just not great, period.

Meh, this season is wasted, and all the criticism One Frame Man S3 is receiving is for a reason. We criticize it because we care for this franchise, and seeing this big, popular, beloved franchise getting the treatment as your average trashy Isekai slop makes the fans mad. The same would happen if Demon Slayer gets the same treatment, so it's good to know that Demon Slayer is getting the high quality it deserves, as for One Frame Man, the quality is piss poor and it's going ass-backwards with each season.

As a big One Punch Man fan myself, I'm disappointed in seeing one of my favorite franchises of all time being turned into One Frame Man. I will finish this season just for the memes and to watch this crap burn and nothing else, but screw this, my hype is gone.

I finally figured out why One Punch Man Season 3 feels so painfully boring The reason is that the producers and directors don't want to keep animating it, so they are trying to destroy it. Even compared to the already subpar season 2, this one feels extremely boring. I had to re-watch all episodes because I fell asleep in ALL of them! The fact is that I never read the manga so I don't know if it's following it but as an anime watcher, the first season was amazing, second season was subpar and third season will be dropped! I will give 2 more episodes... let's see ifsomething amazing will make delete or rewrite/edit this review.

The fights have no weight, the comedy falls flat, and the pacing drags endlessly.

Congratulations, Bandai, for destroying such a nostalgic and memorable work. This is practically on the same level as Uzumaki and the third season of The Seven Deadly Sins. The impression this third season gives is that it was made in a rush, with no real effort from the production committee. On top of having a completely inexperienced director, they still insist on keeping a studio with nowhere near the necessary capability for a project of this scale. Honestly, I’d love to see One Punch Man receive the same treatment Mob Psycho got at Studio Bones. There, you could clearly see the production’s effort to deliverthe best possible result for the fans.
