I expected nothing and I am still let down. This truly is dreadful show. My expectations never were high since Seven Deadly Sins is truly a super mediocre show. But oh man it was far worse than I expected. White fucking blood? Ah, yes finally the enemies cum after being killed. Of course the censoring is also horrible. Well, they did eventually stop using white blood somewhere around the middle of the show. The animation sometimes feels like watching a PowerPoint slideshow. It feels like their budget is super low. They are not even trying to animate it properly. Why in the hell would they hire such incompetentpeople for this. The director and series compositioner is also bad at their job. Finally a show that rivals Fairy Tail.

Starting off with the story: It continues straight from the last season with mostly filler hooray I know. Then in the second episode the story actually starts, King and Diane and strolling around the fairy forest and meets Drole and Gloxinia who train them by sending them back to the past that takes place about few hundred years in the past duh. They must get stronger and escape said simulation by doing something they originally did not do. Well, finally in the 7th episode the Sins are back together and ready to take on they demon king. We then follow Gowther on how he lost his memories or something and in the end he get emotions, quite shocking I know. As the sins are back far stronger they go and attack Zeldris and the other wanks. And now we are met with the most horrible animation the world has to offer. I had read the manga and I said "Oh Meliodas vs Escanor is a good fight, I hope they do justice for it in anime" they did not. It was horrifying. They couldn't make still images look good. Then Elizabeth is going through a phase where she remembers everything and is soon to die. So now it is a race against time, they need to defeat the demon king so the curse on Elizabeth will be lifted.

Characters are the same as last season but we got to know more about Elizabeths past, Meliodas, Gloxinia, Drole, Gowther and even Oslow. None of them have changed since season 2. Then we get few new characters who are Zeldris' companions or something. One of them is Meliodases teacher and one is just forgettable. Also few arc angels arrive onto the scene. Of course Meliodas is stuck in his assault form which just looks stupid mostly because the animators can't draw for shit.

The soundtrack is still pretty lit so I gotta give them that. There is that one theme that comes in every good fight. But if anything at least they got a good composer for the music department. Then the openings. The first one is just horrible. The song "Frontier" was kinda bad. The music wasn't the greatest and the clips were not good at all. I can't remember anything cool happening in that opening. Maybe the T-posing. And then the second opening. This one is actually good. The song "Delete" is a very catchy and a great song, Thank You SID. The animation in it looks good. The visuals are actually cool looking. There was Escanors The One and lots of cool fights.

Again, the animation is beyond horrible. It looks like it was done in paint or then photoshop or powerpoint. They just kinda fly around looking like absolute dog shit.

I have not enjoyed this show and probably never will. Only thing I have gotten is laughs mostly because of the shit animation.

Would I ever recommend this? Hell nah son. You should honestly just skip Seven Deadly Sins fully. Or if you want then read the manga.

Writing this review just because the rating of this anime has surprised me a lot. Most of the people rated it very low from the very start just because of the animation. Animation of course is important but it is not everything as long as I can make out whats happening and it is clear I am okay with it. Additonally, the animation wasn't even that bad it slowly got better although the while blood was retarded.Rating an anime solely on animation is very stupid.Lets get into my honest review now. Story 10:The plot of Nanatsu No Taizi is easily a 10 without even thinking about itthe way the writer reveals and creates new mysteries at the same time is insane. He also connects all the plot points perfectly this season.Everything makes sense and you get surprised , and shook from the secrets revealed.

Art 6:As I said was okay still not berserk level.Had some cgi but for the most part it wasn't that bad specially after the beginning.

Sound 8:Now the soundtracks in Nanatsu No Taizi are always amazing from emotional ones , to the exciting fight osts. They are used frequently throughout this season with new ones created for important moments.

Character 9:Character in Nanatsu No Taizi is a very strong point each character is built and progresses very nicely power and character wise. Each representing a sin carries out their role perfectly in the story.

Enjoyment 9:Enjoyed this season a lot even though I had read the manga I was wishing that I didn't read the manga so I could experience it truly.

Overall : Easily an 8 with good art I would've made it a 9 it will still never reach the 10 mark because an anime has to be truly perfect to get a 10.The ending of this season was not it ending in the middle of an Arc is just not smart to do.There were better endings the last episode felt like a normal episode and not a finale. If you wont finish the arc dont start it or atleast put a better ending.

It’s been a pattern for several years now. Nanatsu no Taizai goes on a break, and then comes back to adapt parts of the manga for the plot. By plot, I do mean the continued storyline about the Seven Deadly Sins and their conflicts against the demons, Commandments, and in this season, even Meliodas himself. This season adds the additional Goddess side while making its storytelling even more complex. But...complex doesn't equate to quality because Nanatsu no Taizai dropped the ball, hard. If you’ve seen the previous seasons before, chances are that you remember a darker change to Meliodas’ character personality. The fact is that heis turning back more and more into his original demon self. Estarossa gave us a very brief narrative about how Meliodas was once a ruthless ruler that he even envied. In this season, you will see the truth of Estarossa’s words as Meliodas once again revert to his true demon visage. That is, Meliodas becomes an anti-villain, a type of character at odds against the protagonists but is fighting for the “good”. And that reason lies in Elizabeth.

Elizabeth becomes a character to feel empathy feel after you realize her complex past. Her connection to the goddess is imperative for the overall storytelling. The motivation of this season relies on Meliodas’ personal quest to end a curse between him and Elizabeth. That being said, watching this season felt nothing less than a chore. With a year long gap and 24 episodes, you’d think the studio and staff had enough time to give us what the fans wanted. In respect to the storytelling, it stays faithful to the manga. But on the technical quality, it’s a different story. The action choreography feels static and gets less and less consistent with each passing episode. It loses dramatic value with the low quality and furthermore, almost every fight feels more or less the same. Nanatsu no Taizai isn’t known for being unique for a battle shounen and the fights this season didn’t step up to the plate. No, it's dramatic disaster.

On the characters front, we still have the familiar Seven Deadly Sins, the group of otherworldly entities renowned for changing the course of history. In this season, our characters develop their skills to stand strong enough against the Commandments and in hope of making a better world in this timeline. Besides that, I do believe the producers were aiming at the background storytelling for the purpose of getting us attached to the main cast. Characters such as Elizabeth, Meliodas, Gowther, are among a few of these examples. Interestingly, other important characters such as the archangels and elite demons get their moments of fame. Hold your horses though. Those characters are still overshadowed by the Seven Deadly Sins and most importantly, the duo pair of Elizabeth and Meliodas. It’s a shame since the series puts an overemphasis on their relationship, so much that it overshadows almost anything else. There are other breakout character pairs such as Monspeet and Derieri but their time on screen is limited. It’s the same as the manga where the show is dead on intent to push the relationship between Elizabeth and Meliodas to the limit. If you don’t seeing them together often, then buckle up because it’s going to be a long ride.

Still, I do somewhat commend the faithful adaptation of this season. While the plot felt over extended, it follows near panel by panel for the most important chapters. Plus, it definitely became clear the producers wanted to adapt the full manga and set up for another season. (now confirmed to air in October 2020 this year) Is that good news or bad news? It’s sort of both. If you’re a longtime fan of this franchise, then it will be a delight because Nanatsu no Taizai is the gift that keeps on giving. On the other hand, it’s bad news if you’ve been trying to complete this anime franchise after so many episodes. Sure, it isn’t a long running battle shounen like Naruto or Bleach, but at the end of the day, Nanatsu no Taziai ran too long of a course for its own good. And I am talking about both the anime and manga.

The bottom line is that after multiple series of adaptations, this new season didn’t truly became the next big thing. And in fact, I’ve rarely heard of anyone celebrating the announcement of new Nanatsu no Taizai anime in recent years. It’s not something reborn from the ashes like the recent Bleach announcement either. Nanatsu no Taizai has been flowing around the radar all this time and every year, it just gets worse and worse.

WHAT? The absolutely worst part of this show are characters. Its soooo baaad, even worse than my english. Whole anime feels so cheap, like they didnt had time or something. Honestly i have no idea how this could even came off. Im done with this anime. Im not going to continue i have no hope whatsoever and i dont believe that its gonna get better. If you liked 1and 2 season... DONT even watch this crap, read manga.

I really like the fact that the color of the blood is white, it's the most important point of any anime (jk). The character developpment is very cool. Perfect for gowther, Diane and King. This was a smart way to show the prequel of the story with the war 3000 years ago. I really like the story developpment of the past that gives us more information, character relationship explanation and more. I don't understand the extremely low ranking for this season. The animation seem similar to the previous seasons to me. Though I don't give much importance to the animation and am more focused on the plot, thiscould explain why I don't see big differences between the different seasons.

This won't be some drawn out, expertly made review. Here I go: The story is ehh. Not really interesting but the leadup to fights is alright so I'll live. The art is really bad. Honestly kills the mood for certain moments which were meant to be spectacular and ended up being the worst parts. The sound for the most part is really good. Soundtracks great and most voice acting is done well enough to engage me as a viewer, though sometimes there's a noise that just ruins that immersion. I don't recommend this anime unless you're really into seven deadly sins AND you dislike manga.

(no spoilers) So, for people scared by the 1 out of 10 reviews; no, it's really not that bad. Is the animation a little disappointing? Yeah. Does it totally ruin watching the show? No. So, that being said, if you liked the last seasons, you'll definitely like this one. With that out of the way, time for the review! So to get started with the story, it develops really quickly in this season. Strangely though, I find myself still bored throughout this season. I think there is just something off with the pacing that makes it feel so slow. About the animation, I have already lightly touched onthat. It definitely is disappointing to see the animation quality go down, but that was honestly not a big deal for me. If animation is really important for you, especially in a shounen anime, then yeah, this might be a problem for you. That being said, I personally care more about story than the artwork.

This is where I'm going to be talking about some spoilers for this season, so if you are planning on watching it, definitely stop reading because these plot twists are honestly the only good part about this season.

I was really surprised at Elizabeth's awakening. Did not really think she was the cursed reincarnation of a goddess. That being said, how is it still possible that she literally does nothing this whole season combat wise? The first season, I understood that she probably wouldn't kick ass yet and that she needed some more character development. But in the second season, when her powers first start showing themselves, she still did nothing. And finally, when she is a literal GODDESS!! she still does absolutely anything except for one move she pulled on Meliodis' brother in the final few episodes. Please, creators, I'm begging you; can we ppllleeeaasssee see Elizabeth kick some ass???? Thanks :)

Next on to Meliodis. I actually really enjoyed him kinda "turning to the dark side" and losing his emotions; the only thing willing him to move forward his sworn promise to Elizabeth to break this curse. They have a very interesting dynamic this season, with them both wanting the same thing in the end, but both having very different ways of getting there. Although they are technically on the same side, they still fight each other. Very coolll writers.

All that said and done; was the animation disappointing? Yeah. Was the story a little iffy sometimes? Yeah. But if you enjoyed the last seasons, you'll definitely like this one and it for sure won't ruin your enjoyment of prior seasons. Happy watching!

Having seen the first and second season, they were both excellent. It was clearly one of my favorite anime by far. However, like every single anime that does a new season with a studio change, it is actually dog shit compared to the other seasons. Just like one punch man or tokyo ghoul RE, the animation changed for the worse, the action is extremely sub par, the art work seems rushed, incomplete and horrible, the action is lackluster and is overall a HUGE disappointment. What I used to commend Nanatsu no Taizai about were the outrageous and off the charts action scenes that were sothrilling it would send spines down your back no matter how many times you rewatch it, yet so far, there has been no indication that any of that will happen. This studio completely gutted a top 10 anime and the only reason why i will continue to watch is because of what the predecessors have established. Its really not worth giving a actual braindead studio any money or attention to support more dog shit trash like this

Nanatsu no Taizai: Kamigami no Gekirin For a long time, I was afraid of this, I knew what was coming and that very knowledge only made my burden more difficult. A bad anime can be improved by magnificent animation. Fast pacing can always balance the flow of scenes, dynamic animation in harmony with the music, help distract the viewer from flaws and entertain elsewhere. But when an average anime is given deadly pacing and disastrous animation, it's no longer fun. And at the same time, this season has been animated better than the final season. Therefore, for those who have already had traumatic experiences here, stop.Finish reading the manga and don't watch the last season. What the studio did here is beyond comprehension. I have a feeling they merely produced this as a bad joke. A good example is that the blood constantly became "milk" or other such "FSK 18" substances. And then again in other scenes, there was a lot of blood. Blood censorship can be seen in just 50% of the scenes. Was this produced by 2 independent groups that have not consulted each other? Or was too much blood too difficult to censor? Why does demon blood turn white? Why does a giant vomit up 2 buckets of questionable white substances? And why is another demon lying in a perfectly normal pool of blood in the next scene? There are so many questions and so few answers.

So much said, I still have to say that the plot and character relationships are nevertheless decent enough to somehow make it through this season. Nanatsu No Taizai is still a simply average shounen. This season just suffers from studio problems, otherwise, it would have reached about the same quality standards as the previous ones. Unfortunately, the pacing here is very poor and the animations almost reach fanmade levels. By "almost" I mean that these reach a peak in the upcoming season.

[Story 5]

Here the rest of the plot is finally revealed, including Gowther's character background. And all of that is fine, it's nothing shockingly great, but that's what the series needed to prove itself. The backstory of the holy war, the connection between Meliodas and Elizabeth. Which, again, is a relatively interesting relationship whose problem became a good core point of a story. This approach is good, I just wish the whole thing had been implemented by a better writer and studio.

In the upcoming season, there is only minimal resolution, and only a few background stories of the antagonists are still open.

[Characters 5]

There is nothing new to say, the characters are the same as in the previous season, only that Meliodas slowly puts on more serious traits, which of course makes him more comprehensible. The rest of the season is devoted more to the relationships of the various couples.

I still find the opponents in Nanatsu no Taizai from the 10 Commandments relatively interesting. They have some wasted potential, but they are not blunt shells, which makes them seem more realistic. They are opponents, but only from the perspective of the protagonists. In their own right, they have their problems to deal with in this world and their burdens to bear.

[Animations 3 / Music 6]

I wouldn't say that the animations have hit rock bottom here, but they aren't far from it. There's no need to even mention why the series is also called "Seven Deadly Frames".

The intro was... bad, really bad. The visuals just seemed like a cheap character catalog that was turned over. The music was okay. The osts suffer significantly this season, unfortunately, because of the slow pacing and their mediocre placement. Otherwise, the anime is only slightly worse musically.

[Conclusion 3]

It hurts my heart to give such a low rating to an average series, but unfortunately pacing and animation are simply important factors. And this season lacked both of those without end. Since this season was supposed to be 70% fights, it makes it all the more tragic. If it were just a story-based season with better pacing, then it wouldn't matter at all.

Content-wise, I give the series a 5 out of 10 without a doubt, that's just what it is. But due to this massive drop in quality, there's nothing else that can be done.

Too bad, among the average shounen, Nanatsu no Taizai was one I relatively enjoyed watching, which makes this hurt all the more.

I'll make it short and painless if you've enjoyed Nanatsu no Taizai until now, skip this and pretend it never existed in the first place. Do yourself a favor and don't strain your eyes with what we've been served. The studio changed to one of the worst possible candidates, Deen, and as expected, they completely butchered it. Not even joking, there are so many terrible moments in this show without even being picky about still screens. Storywise it's about what you'd expect from the past seasons, but the animation just turns it into a dreadful experience. It actually hurts to watch it during some scenes. So, unless you REALLYcrave some NnT and can overlook pain inducing animation, I heavily discourage you from watching this.

The downfall of Nanatsu no Taizai As a part of many that loved the first as well as the second season of this anime, the third one feels like the best friend punching you in the face. It all began with the announcement that the production studio was shifted from the well known A-1 Studio and their over average dedication towards their produced animes. At first, it wasn't a problem at all. Studio Green may not be as known as A1-Pictures (regarding Shonen) but still, even they had done nice work in the past. The real doomsday was the launch of the first episode of the third season.I didn't want to get spoiled by any chance beforehand and therefore refused to watch any scenes that were published before the official start.

The feeling that spread inside my body and mind while watching the first episode can only be described as 20 long minutes of mortal fear, death agony, appalling pain!

I wasn't even mad at the studio at the beginning because the experience was so indescribably atrocious, that I thought it has to be a spoof.

The completely changed animation style, especially the fighting animations look like someone watched a lot of OnePiece before and concluded for himself that the best thing that they could do, would be to mimic the god damn OnePiece fighting animations.

I'm not even in the possession of enough brain capacity to state my extreme frustration over only THAT thing.

And if, IF I would continue the list, I can guarantee you that I would die having a heart attack.

It kinda feels like Studio Deed lifted Seven Deadly Sins from a little shiny pedestal, walked with it towards the trash can. Softly and carefully opened it and then slammed it into it. Then again closed it tender, only to trough it out the window.

I'm shocked, that they managed to nosedive that shit so hard. Before that, I couldn't even have possibly imaged, that a change of the animation studio could have such a massive impact on the overall user experience.

Therefore I propose, that they should be awarded with an award for "Alchemic transmutation" since for the first time in human history we have a detailed case of literally somebody turning gold (or for some folks lead) into dogshit.

What in the fuck! Alright lads, let's start off. First things first this anime is beyond horrible. I mean the first 2 seasons were not masterpieces or anything but they gave some enjoyment, but this is just gone too far. A1- Pictures for some unknown reason did not want to make a new season so Studio Deen wanted to make it, but it is actually animated my Studio jack if I remember correctly, but they have never been the main studio, they have always helped so this is their first one. Is it good. No, it isn't. The animation is beyond garbage. Where is the goddamn effort. All the fights are made in paint by one person and it feels like a slide show. Even the still images are made badly. The entire Escanor vs Meliodas fight looked bad. The hits did not have any impact or the animation wasn't good. They even took a break for a week! For god knows what reason. Since the later episodes still looked like garbage.

Alright lets get to the other stuff. Characters: Well, if you have seen seven deadly sins there ain't much to add really. They are the same characters as in season 2. Gowther kinda grew as a character after episode 8. now gowther has a heart and emotions. Hooray. Meliodas is more edgy that ever before. We still did get 2 new character recently. But I have forgotten their names, but one of them was Meliodases teacher back in the day. He can use Full counter as well.

The Story: We continue straight after season 2 ended in episode 2 since the first episode was garbage filler. Episode 2 kicked off with King and Diane in the fairy forest for some reason. The meet Drole and Gloxinia who train them so they can attain more power but it is a simulation of the holy war from like 1000 years ago or something, I don't really care, but if they die in the simulation they die for real. And they have to find a way out by doing something that they originally didn't. Then Gowthers backstory which was nice and then the whole crew was back together. After that they go to Camelot I think. Elizabeth is close to dying and they have to defeat the demon king. We get a lot of badly animated scenes and fights. Of course Meliodas is back far more edgier than before

The characters are the exact same. If you have seen both seasons then you already know these character well. None of them have changed in any way, maybe Gowther gained a bit more personality after episode 8.

The opening: First one is bad as hell, none of the visuals didn't leave an impact or anything and the song was really not the greatest thing is history, but the second opening is cool. The song is very nice and hey, the animation in it is decent, hell yes. The visuals this time looked cool and of course Escanors The One mode looked cool in it.

The soundtrack is still good to listen, it hasn't changed much from season 2 and they still have that one track that is a true banger. Even though they ruined the animation in every fight but the music is still good.

Should you watch this? I really don't recommend since it is a horrible. I mean you are free to watch this if you want to. You should probably read the manga rather than watching this.

This review contains SPOILERS so read at your own risk. Now let's get down with this shall we? What is happening in Shounen world? I'm in no way a purist who only loves old stories and criticize everything new. I love Isekai stories which are loathed by many. I watch different genres, the weirder the better. I don't like elitism and gate keeping in the community because it also prevents us from moving forward. But I got to say, the future of the industry is not looking good quality wise. I have 3 main problems. Plot, Character development and power levels. Animation is a bonus.- Plot :

So we have this thing which start off very weirdly. There is the threat of the 10 commandments and the sins are separated in two groups. One with King & Diane is in the Fairy forest while the others are with Meliodas. They go in a small remote village to fight some 3rd rate demons. Right off the bat I was perplexed. We are talking about the freaking 10 deadly sins, does them going to fight there add anything to the story or their characters that we didn't already know? No.

Then we have the little King & Diane adventure. Remember that big thing that happened 3000 years ago that everyone keeps mentioning? Yeah so we are going to that era now with them inside the Giant & Fairy kings bodies. Why would they need to go there? To pass a trial. What purpose does it serve? None if not just padding run time and add more exposition to the story.

Why did those 2 commandments decide to betray the demons now? How can a little trip to the past magically give more power to our rookie? Does that mean that everything is fine now?

And about that trip to the past. There is a huge problem, at least for me that just get glanced over by almost everyone and which has been bothering me since last season. Are demons really that bad? I don't know what happens in the manga but based on what we know in the anime weren't the one who started the holy war the Goddess clan? It was them who captured and killed thousands of demon clan folks. It was them who sealed the commandment. In that case how is that not justified for them to get vengeance? I get that Meliodas is the lead MC but he is the one who betrayed his own, why is that glanced over just because? I'm here to advocate for the demons, their cause is just. Give them reparation ! Ahem, a little bit side tracked there.

Also for the love of God making a nuanced character doesn't mean making him full evil and then make a complete 180 for no good reason. That doesn't work that way. Same with the i'm evil right now but I was good all along/ I was doing this for your sake character. We can smell them miles away. Make them evil and let them be this way. Find a way to show their perspective and belief but let them be "evil".

Characters :

We learned really nothing new about Diane or King. They explored their relation well last season but nothing here. They just get together. They gave Gowther a backstory which was good in my opinion but I start to see a trend here. They use the "broken soul" hero trope to make you go in your feels and forget about the plot a bit too often. Knowing the back story of a character is not character development. I don't feel like any of them has really grown or changed in the last few seasons. Although I wouldn't want Meliodas goofiness to go. Ban which was a character I really like is now becoming more annoying. Everything in his mouth is now just Elaine this and Elaine that, give him his personality back please ! I sure hope they will delve on Merlin and Escanor past too. But I can already see how Merlin past will be an annoying "wry for all" fest.

Power level & Animation :

Power levels don't mean shit in this anime. Remember last Season Ban & Meliodas awesome fight on top of the rock ? Yeah now Ban needs Elaine to save him because for some reason he isn't strong enough anymore. Remember King learned a new awesome and powerful move right? Well now he barely uses it and get beaten like a kid. Diane that super strong giant warrior, well she's just plot device at this point. They will tell you that the commandment are strong creatures but then beat them easily. Why? Because just "shut up and enjoy".

Escanor vs Meliodas fight, biggest scam of the year. Power point slideshow with very badly drawn characters. No more awesome move, just still with a zoom on their face. And the editing... the fight starts and 5s later they cut to show something different 2min then come back to show 10s and cut again. You don't know what's happening because they put freaking smoke everywhere! I want to see the fight, stop being lazy !

This season of Nanatsu no Taizai is a scam !

Watching 12 episodes of this abomination of an anime made me want to rewatch 2 first seasons. What even is this? Half-assed hentai have more quality than this. Animation is just awful, it's like 2010's Youtube quality. Sound is also bad, it's repetitive, effects are sometimes delayed... I can't say anything about the story, because it is what it is. If deliver was the same as in first season, this anime would get solid 8 without a doubt. Now I am questoning watching next 12 episodes. If you are new to the series - don't waste your time, read manga if you want to knowthe story.

I don't usually write reviews, but this season was so disappointing that I had to rant somewhere. Nanatsu no Taizai was an average show to begin with. Season 1 had something going for it while the following seasons slowly starting losing coherency. Although it wasn't too bad until this happened. The season started off with characters bleeding cum. I chalked it off to this new studio censoring stuff. "It should be alright as long as the action is fine", I said to myself. Slowly the art quality started deteriorating. Then suddenly any character development Meliodas had to go through was destroyed because he "lost his emotions". Theonly consistent character in the entire series is hawk. When a pig side character is more consistent than your main character, you have some problems. Next, the pacing started to fuck up. They spent an episode for Arthur wandering around Camelot but somehow the entire kingdom was suddenly ok with Elizabeth being a Goddess?!

The only thing this show has going for itself is the OST, thanks to Hiroyuki Sawano.

Watching this season felt like a chore and was a horrible experience. I still do not know why I kept watching.

I wouldn't recommend anyone watch this, even if you're a fan. The manga is probably better.

Studio Deen, thank you for ruining one of my favourite anime with your atrocious animation and absolutely disgusting work. I am repelled, disappointed and utterly displeased by the performance of an esteemed studio such as Studio Deen. A-1 Pictures never should have let Studio Deen take over if they were given a choice. I’ll be honest, the first few episodes of the anime were fine, they weren’t as entertaining as one would expect however, they weren’t displeasing. There was barely any fight scenes at the beginning and everything was just hyping up to the fight that everyone was waiting for. A fight between the two strongest members inthe Seven Deadly Sins. Then, Studio Deen committed the biggest sin I can think of.

Throwing everyone’s hopes and expectations down the fucking drain.

Seriously, I seriously wanted to vomit at how ugly they made our favourite characters look, how lacklustre the ‘fight’ was and generally how trashy the entire scene felt.

I’ve heard that Studio Deen had handed the animation over to small time studio March Jack due to being swamped with other projects. That is no excuse for producing such a horrendous piece of shit. Studio Deen could’ve jolly well postponed the production to fix the mess or double checked the Jack Shit that Studio March Jack produced.

If the entire anime was overseen by Studio Deen and they actually approve of it, I will probably never watch a Deen production ever again.

The anime generally was already poorly animated and poorly depicted. Going from Bad to Worse, Studio Deen could’ve at least NOT drag it through the dirt even more by ruining the most hyped-for fight the entire arc.

HECK, I had to watch a parody / fan animated version of the fight scene made by some solo animator using Adobe Photoshop & Aftereffects and it still turned out a 100 times better than a Professional Studio. At least it had that epic ness within the hand-drawn fight scenes along with the intensity which came along with it.

There’s literally no point in watching any further if Studio Deen doesn’t fix this mess.

This was supposed to be one of the slightly more boring seasons in my opinion except that the fight scenes were supposed to be way more epic here than any other season. Take away the fights and I’m left with just a boring cartoon. It was supposed to be ‘The Season with the Most Epic Fights’, Studio Deen turned it into ‘The Season with the Most One Star Ratings’

You’d think the animation and boring plot would be the end of my dismay but it doesn’t stop there!

The soundtracks were fucking re-used, the OST was extracted from a previous season and thrown into this, seriously?

Seriously? I mean... ruining the anime with your shit animation, shit settings, shit scenes and already boring plot isn’t enough that you have to ruin the soundtracks too?

Luckily, KonoSuba was taken off your hands.

What will Studio DEEN ruin next?

Take note that this review may be outdated. Always check my profile for my latest rating, I may have changed my rating due to various reasons.

A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT I am a manga reader and Nanatasu no taizai was finally supposed to get extremely exciting and interesting at this point. The manga from this point onward is amazing. It has lots of plot twists, character developments, character introductions, and a really great art style. This stuff was supposed to make this anime unique. But Studio Deen screwed it up. Or rather, the director and the choreographer for this season screwed it up. Because even though it has a good art style, it seems as if the director and choreographer had no idea what they are doing or what they are supposed todo. The quality of directorship and choreography is at the level of 'mars of destruction'. Seriously. All the scenes that ARE nicely portrayed, are exact replicas of the manga.

The anime has just become... uhh.. awkward... Diane and King kiss without any background music, in pure silence. Gowther cries with a very high pitched voice and the tears are super-awkward. There are many more scenes that were made awkward by poor director choices.

Overall, here are my scores -

Story - 7 (because of the manga and because 7 is slightly above average for me)

Art - 3 (just copied the manga)

Sound - 1(cuz there is no sound)

enjoyment -1 (just too awkward and boring to watch)

overall - 2 (art, sound and most importantly enjoyment killed it for me)

I see many reviews giving crazy low scores, and this manily seems to stem from some issue with the animation. Now, I'm not blind, the animation in this season was worse than that in the previous 3, without a doubt. However, I dont see this as a show killer, in fact far from it. The character development here was on another level, so many seemingly 2D characters suddenly appearing, and without any spoilers, so incredibling meaningfull. There are moments of extreme sadness, even for characters who last season you wouldnt have felt anything for. The story suddenly came alive, revealing mysterys that seemed tohave been forgotten about seasons ago. This is the best season of Nanatsu No Taizai, and if you cant look past a few bad frames of animation to see that you need to find a far more simple show to watch.

Nanatsu no Taizai was one of my favorite anime, and this season was highly anticipated. But this season is horrendous. I used to eagerly await each episode, but now I damn near forget the series exists until I stumble upon new episodes. Then I have to FORCE myself to watch and finish each episode. Story: Rushed, poorly-written, and lackluster. I feel like they're trying to answer everything all at once just to get it out of the way; a stark contrast to the previous seasons' more well-paced storytelling. Art: Primarily stills... Nanatsu has had some of the BEST fight scenes I have EVER seen in previous seasons, but the fights in this season consist largely of simple, repetitive moves and, I kid you not, stills. Yes, stills in fights. BORING.

I have never written a review on this site before, but I'm so incredibly disappointed with this season that I felt the need to vent. This is one of those things I'll be fuming about for the rest of my life. I'll be old and grey, wondering what could have been... lamenting the wasted potential of this once amazing series.

Honest Review after Episode 12 Slight Spoilers in the second part just skip it if you want. We all know how great the previous seasons of the 7DS series was. If I remembered correctly I binged the entirety of the second season the night before exams and had just a few hours of sleep. Yea, That's how good it was. I'll just go straight to the point. The animation is sh*t, The looks of the characters most of the times looks off and out of shape, the voice acting somewhat feels forced for me and it feels like most of the time the soundtrack don't matchthe scenes and all of this just ruined a great show that everybody used to love.

I lowered my expectations and gave this a chance given that the first fight scene between demons and the archangels are acceptable but seeing the most awaited Escanor vs Meliodas fight getting butchered is enough for me to drop the series. I'll just stick for 1 more episode to see Escanor's The One mode then drop the show and stick to manga.

Massive Disappointment/10

Just Read the Manga and save some time.
