Pre-review TLDR: Studio EDGE doing a pretty great job once again as they head now towards the world of gender bending and futa on this new OVA. Unless you like seeing one or the other, or maybe both, from those two main fetishes focused throughout the show then you might not enjoy this one. But for those who do it's worth checking out for the artstyle, animations, and scenes (though sadly few so far). The good: * The interesting premise. All about a little girl who seems to be living in a mansion filled with treasures that turns everyone who comes inside into girls based on theirimaginations. The show is full of the imagination-magic wherein she grants whatever it is her target is imagining so she can mind break them into submission and be one of her lovely maids, which I think is pretty interesting.

* The artstyle and animation. Just from the cover you can already tell which studio handled this one even without the label just from the artstyle alone. The art is very well done and still sexy as always and so is the animation, though there some parts where some body parts tend to juggle around the place a lot more than they should which personally I found weird but entertaining.

* The mystery. The plot points introduced in the first episode which were made to get the interest to shift towards the plot of the story works pretty well. Especially the small twist and reveal at the end of the first episode which will likely leave viewers with a little something to think about until the next episode comes out.

The bad:

* The amount of H scenes. A common thing nowadays with H OVAs are the short running times often leading to a few amounts of H scenes which may leave the viewers wanting more until the next episode or two arrives, which Residence is not exempted from.

Final verdict:

It's short but very interesting and is enough to get the attention of anyone interested in gender bender and a bit of futa and maybe even get a couple people interested in them if this is their first encounter with either or both the listed fetishes. Definitely a good kinky-fetish focused show which I could maybe recommend to anyone interested enough in the premise to watch if a few kinky fetishes won't turn you off. Eagerly awaiting the next episode to come out now and hopefully you guys will too.

Well Residence is here to explore that as well. So.. It's like deep (no pun intended) ? The series reinforces these questions "Are you a Man or a woman ?" early on and it will follow the characters as they seemingly choose theirgender, based on their bodily desires. Some do it without question, others might retain some of their selves, but can be quickly drawn into their stronger desires. It's the desire that faults these men, not just the woman who have the ability to change them. She merely acts as a question mark and later a key for the men to acknowledge their transition.

It should be noted that the series has an excellent Pan's Labyrinth (2006) reference that's easy to spot, so cinephiles beware. (Wasn't expecting that).

I really enjoyed this series and the artwork is gorgeous. Here it really shows where Hentai has the upper hands when it comes to non-hentai, the fluidity of bodily movement within the sexual scenes are crucial for a series to deliver the confusion and later acceptance of one's new gender, sexual identity and body. Residence among other Hentai is where the story is the sex, more so the sex scenes represents changes within the character themselves and the changing positions that explain an awakening into the realm of gender. So yes, these scenes do contribute and here there's certainly a reason for them being the way that they are but if you just care about if it's hot, then it most certainly is that as well.

Best Genderbender Hentai Ever Made. Here is it: Animation: 10/10 I absolutely love this animation style. Strong contrast, lots of unique frames, and really pleasant lighting. Camera Movements: 9/10 The movement is excellent—smooth and really well done. Characters / Character Design: 9/10 I’m not gay, but this whole “you’re a woman now” thing is insanely hot. There’s a lot of brainwashing and manipulation going on, and I just love these kinds of characters.Disgust Rating: 4/10

Even though it’s sexy, it’s still unsettling to see a man turned into a woman who eventually becomes completely obsessed with guys. But honestly, there’s way worse stuff out there.
