Yes, it’s kids’ anime. Why it’s so enjoyable to watch? Let’s see! (Note: English isn’t my 1st language and anime is still running so I don’t know what’ll happen in the future) I was really surprised to find out Sanrio is making a long running anime. Well, it’s very cute anime. Character designs are really lovely and stylish, especially boys are good looking and fresh. Girls are a bit of mainstream, the main protagonists are shy (Karon), outgoing (Momona) and boyish (Mizuki) girls. Momona is at his cousin's wedding where she meets his beautiful wife and then she suddenly is wandering near the JewelPalace, where all the lady candidates studies to become the number 1 lady!

During the 1st tasks clumsy Momona meets prince Cayenne, handsome and confident boy. When Momona starts to be around Cayenne more, Cayenne’s admirer Lilian says Momona can’t have him without being top lady. So hard road to aim for top place starts. But after Cayenne moves to another school nearby, another new prince called Miura arrives to palace. He starts solving the mysteries around school, Lilian and her mentor Lua. And why the Jewelland is bothered by long winter and odd monsters?

Overally, it’s been so far very fun to watch despite being kid stuff. It has elements of magical girl series, since the girls and their Jewelpets have jewelpods to change clothes etc. There's also some mystery, fighting and humor and of course the power of friendship. The opening and ending song by Fairies is awesome and all the music in this anime is really nice for my ears. Only thing what may bother sometimes is the very simple animation, and so far it had only one filler episode and one review ep.

Also the character developing is huge, clumsy girls get confident, shy girls more brave and so on. And all the handsome boys are just making you scream. Lady Jewelpet is also very romantic anime and all the pairings in the show are cute and works well.

If all the pink stuff and super kawaii jewelpets doesn’t scare you away, give it a chance! It gets better the more you watch it!

Hear me out alright? I know this anime aimed at a child audience but mighty God on high I love this anime. The story follows a girl named Momona who is transported into Jewel Land. There she and other girls were selected as candidates to compete for the spot of the next ‘Lady Jewel’. Momona’s assigned partner is an adorable rabbit named Ruby that will help her in the tasks. The girl that passes the most tasks will be crowned Lady Jewel, but standing in Momona’s way is the fair Lillian. Lillian’s goal is to be the next Lady Jewel so she can pick Cayenneto be her King. (Soon Momona will also fall in love with Cayenne). We also begin to see that Cayenne may be harboring feelings towards Momona too, but who does he truly love? Who will win the honor of being crowned Lady Jewel?

Overall everything about this anime flowed so well. I really love the art style (the girls style is very high maintenance but also petite with the boys looking stylish and well mannered) and the music is so cutesy! The story starts off to be a little boring but it exceeded my expectations with it’s dark twists. I may be stretching it a bit since it’s been a while since I watched it but since it was the first anime I ever completed it holds a special memory with me. The side stories, especially the relationship between Lillian and Miura, were some of my favorite scenes from the show. I hope that Sanrio will in the future produce more amazing content that can be enjoyable for you and younger relatives. I definitely recommend giving this anime a watch if you love all things cute with a dark turn(no spoilers I promise).

If you aren't scared of shows that are childish and you answered "yes" to even one of those questions you may try Lady Jewelpet. Lady Jewelpet belongs to the "Jewelpet" franchise but you don't have to watch any of the other shows. The story in Lady Jewelpet is mainly focused on tasks for girls who want to become ladies and relationships between characters but even though it is a bit repetitive it doesn't get boring. Itis told in a continuous way without plot holes. However, there are some stupid things like a character stumbling too often (for example from a cliff) and most of the time she is getting rescued in the last possible second. The pacing is very good, not too fast not too slow, just fine. Lady Jewelpet offers many cute, funny and romantic moments that are very enjoyable. Story also offers a twist where the chosen ladies must fight dark powers to maintain peace in Jewel Land. The ending is satisfying and doesn't leave questions to the viewer. The main characters are your typical characters, that you can find in many shows. We got a cute girl, a cool girl, an elegant girl and a shy girl. But one thing makes up for these archetypes. Along with the next episodes you can see how much they change and become more mature. The main boys aren't developed as well but each one of them has unique personality too.

The art is below average. The faces sometimes look horrible and the animation isn't too smooth. Backgrounds aren't too detailed either. It may catch your attention but it's not enough to dislike the show.

The sound is fine. Sometimes it really helps the mood or the situation but sometimes you don't even remember that sound even exists in this show. Opening and ending are very cute and catchy though.

Overall I really liked the show. It made me laugh, it made me cry, it warmed and calmed my heart. If you don't mind very simple story, typical characters (at least at the beginning) and the show being very cute and childish I can definitely recommend you Lady Jewelpet.
